Hi I've been using add on Tab Mix - Rename Tab in the past and lately it's no working. Found reason to be permission for "Access local files on your computer", see attached

I can't remember what it was in previous version of Firefox, but want to know if it's safe to turn on permission, guessing there's a reason why it's now off, thanks

Firefox spotted a potentially serious security issue with ib.postbank.ir. Someone pretending to be the site could try to steal things like credit card info, passwords, or emails.

I want to block pop-up windows and third-party redirects.

When i open settings and then Privacy and Security i do not see an option for this

When i search for this i get this reponse: Sorry! There are no results in Settings for “pop-up third-party redirects”.

My question is a. Does firefox have such a setting? b. If so where have you hidden it?

Pop ups appear when I start firefox saying "Trojan virus detected!" and "system alert!" including "remove virus now" button that if pressed takes me to a site which invites me to download what I assume is malware.

When I open Firefox I get a large number of warnings. I have run three separate scans (Norton, Malwarebytes, Spybot S&D. I have then restarted my PC and these messages re-appear.

The essages state "Warning: Virus detected" "System Alert!" "Trojan Detected!

The messages try to lead me to watrixa.co.in to Scan & fix or remove the viruses. It will not let me close these warnings.

I am receiving popups - sometimes five to seven, stacked, and purporting to be from Firefox or Mozilla but having a clearly "poisonous" URL, The popups warn that my computer is infected with a dangerous virus and want to to click on them to remove it.

I do have an anti-viral program installed - "McAfee".

I went on the Mozilla page regarding reporting bugs but it is a bit above my pay grade to understand.

I am using TotalAV antivirus which is telling me that there is no virus. This only happens when I use Firefox, not Edge or Goggle browsers.

I have McAfee pop-ups that seem to be linked to Firefox. How do I get rid of them? I have used the McAfee MCPR tool, but the pop-ups remain with a Mozilla Firefox notification box. When I open a link from an email I get nine of them. Seconds ago I just got a system update Mozilla Firefox alert box; if I click on it, I get a page to sign up for McAfee.

DRM nags are back ! I am very suspicious of this ! Stopping FF DRM nags yields NO search results -- but used to. Zero searchable information in the Mozilla databases. What a search for DRM nags does yield is LOADS of outrage (see attached) against FF. I am getting a VERY, VERY suspicious. Before FF tries to monetize more functions -- FIX THE LEGACY ISSUES !!! One thing after another, all week, month and year. 'Upgrades' of the browser induce panic and fear these days. "What will break next ?". You people need to look at shrinking market share and growing outrage and have a Come-to-Jesus moment ! Pawning off 'support' on volunteers is about as cynical as I have ever seen. No useful answers for weeks to many things I have posted since migrating machines to Win 10/FF 15x.

Glad I did that search ! "Back in February, Mozilla changed Firefox's Terms of Use and Privacy Notice for the worse. Mozilla removed a longstanding FAQ promise – Nope. Never have, never will" – regarding the sale of your personal data to replace it with a less definitive pledge" to "protect your personal information." Would it surprise you to know that a few weeks later, Mozilla announced that AI would be its top priority in 2025? I note that this was listed above privacy." Where the Hell is the AI Plague going to get a broken browser ? Look at those damn search results ! Gazillions of posts by fed-up users and vastly shrinking market share.

When I open my website, pvamarkets.com, I see a Cloudflare page that says:

“Suspected Malware — This website has been reported for potentially distributing malware.”

This is a legitimate e-commerce website. After the warning appeared, we completed a full server-side security check. We checked the website files, database, cron jobs, access logs, error logs, and file-delivery system. We did not find malware, executable files, unauthorized code, or signs of a server compromise.

Our website only delivers plain text files to customers. It does not host or distribute Windows executable files.

I understand that the warning page is branded by Cloudflare, but I am posting here to confirm the following:

Is this warning generated or influenced by Firefox or Mozilla Safe Browsing? Can Firefox cache an old security warning after Cloudflare removes it? Is there any Firefox security report or blocklist entry for this domain? What steps should a website owner take to confirm that Firefox does not classify the domain as malicious?

The warning appears before visitors can access the website and causes serious trust and access problems.

I'm suddenly getting repeated/multiple Mozilla Firefox "Browser Alerts", "System Warnings," and "McAfee Critical Virus Alerts" that are wrong and dysfunctional. They pop up every few seconds. They contain "Remove virus now" and "quick scan" buttons, but these only take me to a bright red screen that says:

"Deceptive site ahead Firefox blocked this page because it may trick you into doing something dangerous like installing software or revealing personal information like passwords or credit cards."

These come even though I haven't tried to access any "deceptive sites." I have to x all of them out to clear my screen.

There's obviously a defect in your warning system. How do I stop this?

This past Friday morning, May 29, I tried to access www.healingwell.com which I have always been able to do. But this time Firefox gave me a red screen with message: "Firefox blocked this page because it might try to trick you into installing programs that harm your browsing experience, for example, by changing your homepage or showing extra ads on sites you visit." And same message again over the weekend. But yesterday, Monday June 1, I was able to access that website, and all seemed normal. Why did Firefox give me that message on Friday, but not yesterday or today?

Signing into Netflix it only requires my email address. Then it gives me a message that captcha is required, then gives me an error message, then puts me through to my account. Anyone in the world using your browser and my email address can access my account.

Maybe settings?

I started getting a different login screen for yahoo and so I was on the lookout for the https:// that would ensure I'm at a real website. I noticed that I don't get any https:// on anything in my FF esr 140. Even if I enter it with the address, it disappears as soon as I click to open the website. I tried out Edge and the https:// is there. Is there some reason this is being removed in FF, as it is something reassuring and doesn't take up much space.

bold text I am getting a flood of messages about viruses from McAfee and Monzilla Firefox ESR. Not sure if these are real or a scam to click on a link. Need some help in how to stop messages or find out if my laptop is infected with viruses.
