Turned on laptop this morning after arriving at work -- Addon icons gone and Addons not functioning. Why was this fault in 152.0.5 not disclosed before committing to upgrading the the browsers I support for distance consultants ? Click the Manage Extensions icon and there are no "gears" to click to "Pin to toolbar". This is terrible. I have a half hour until those folks arrive at work in Lost Angeles. Wow. I want to revert to a previous version. Where do I get them ? I am a DBA and NOT support for unstable browsers. FF consistently causing me time and money but "befehl ist befehl" and it is the browser we are ordered to use. I believe management has conflated Free and Functional/useful when selecting our S/W tools.

I follow the instructions to pin an extension, but when I click on the jigsaw icon, I'm taken to the add-on manager page with the ability to review recommendations and manage the extensions and themes. There is no option to pin any extension. I saw this issue on an expired post to Mozilla but the answer was incorrect.

Any ideas? I can't access my password manager extension even though it's there....

I have just had to replace my PC following a bit of a disaster with my old one. The new PC has Windows 11. As usual I downloaded Firefox as I always use this. Somewhere in the installation of Firefox I must have been asked about blocking ads, but I don't remember. Now all ads are blocked, which I don't mind, but some sites are asking me to disable my ad-blocker if I want to use their site. Mostly I don't but there is one I need to use, so I would like to add that site as an exception, but I cannot find any mention of any ad-blocker in settings. Where do I find this? and how do I add exceptions?

The only add-on that I have in Firefox is the 'Privacy Badger' which could be the problem I suppose, but I can't see the website listed in the ones Privacy Badger is blocking.

I had a free chatGPT on firefox sidebar. you changed it to Anthropic Claude without my permission. Now I have to pay for something I was getting free as a student of a university.

After having upgraded my W11 system to 25H2, I cannot install any extension. Installation terminates with "... something may be broken". I'm using FF 144.0,2. FF is used in more than one account alternatively.

On a second system, with less security measures, I have no problems.

I am wondering what was the exact reason for disabling the 600% volume extension.

Should the users be worried about credential theft or was the extension injecting affiliate links?

What are the best ad blockers to stop all you tube ads? My 'Adblocker for Youtube' just stopped working & I get the warning saying if I don't disable it, YT will stop the videos. I wouldn't mind so much since Youtube obviously need to make money from the ads but mostly they don't vet the advertisers qpting for money over customer protection as priority ( Stephen Ridley has multiple ads with his 'Play piano like Mozart in 3 months' BS.) More than two thirds of ads I get are either scams or offering a some product about extending the size of my manhood etc. It gets really annoying when my young kids often use my PC for homework!!

I have been looking to make my own extension and I am following mozillas borderify first extension document. When I go to load the temporary add-on in the about:debugging page, I am unable to upload the folder containing my manifest.js, borderify.js, and icons folder.

I looked into solutions, but everything just assumes that I can add them when I can't.
