my windows 10 PC was saving my bookmarks perfectly and storing in bookmarks after pressing the "save" star (star turns black) until dec 4 but its no longer putting them in the bookmarks menu anymore even though star turned black? then also after numerous attempts to no avail a "edit" pop up came up and after pressing that it did not even come up with the drop down "save" option just a big nothing. I'm using Linux (openSuSE 15.6, latest updates). The system has multiple monitors and for daily work I've two instances of FF running - on every monitor a different one.

After login both instances will be started simultaneously and try to access the bookmarks configuration. This simultaneous access seems to prevent the bookmarks configuration to be loaded. Instead, FF informs that bookmarks shall be loaded from some place.

This behavior should be corrected.

Hello. I haven't been able to find anything of the sort on my own, so i fear maybe there is no actual way other than doing it one by one. But, is there a way to add all of my currently open tabs in firefox android app, to my bookmarks (or collections, maybe), instead of having to select them one by one? Or, in its defect, a way to select all tabs, given that there seems to be no button to quickly select all currently open tabs? At this point, if anyone knows a firefox extension/add-on that works on mobile that could do that, i would deeply appreciate it.

Thanks in advance, i just want a way to not have to select my 100+ open tabs by hand since it genuinely seems like a waste of effort for me and i would rather spend that energy into migrating to another browser altoghether.

Could you add more sorting options to the bookmarks toolbar.

My preference of listening to music on youtube has been to add the songs as bookmarks and using the bookmarks toolbar.

For long i have been irritated i could not inverse the order of them, so when i tried to tweak with it for a bit i clicked the sort by name and quickly learned there is no other controls than that. This might be kinda niche but still applys to many types of usage and i feel is pretty basic. I would like the possibility of making the the bookmark toolbar to sort invertedly from date added. I strongly think this already should be a thing and was quite shocked to learn it was so archaic.

Depuis quelques temps, je n'arrive plus à enregistrer les pages internet dans mes favoris. "L'étoile" réagit au passage de la souris mais ne se colore plus en bleu comme avant.

J'ai toujours accès à ma liste déjà enregistrer, je peux les ouvrir mais je ne peux pas supprimer les marque-pages non plus.

Sous Win 10, j'ai bien vérifier que Firefox était bien à jour.

We have a need to change the name on some bookmarks that we push out via GPO but despite updating the ADMX it is not working. Does this only work for Firefox for Enterprise or does the normal Firefox abide by these settings?

Another Windows update, another instance of Firefox bookmarks being inaccessible :-( "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem." Now what? What are we supposed to do? Is Firefox doing anything about this problem, since it's become a regular occurrence? Help, please!

Had trouble getting Bookmarks to look like I had on the old disk. I reinstalled the old disk and went to FireFox and downloaded the Bookmarks in a HTML file on a memory stick. Shut system down. Reinstall the new SSD disk and tried to "install" bookmarks under Manage Bookmarks, but I could not get the Bookmarks to show up on the space below the main Search HTML box. And my most recent websites found are now ABOVE the main Search HTML box. And ABOVE that is: "Get Support | Mozilla Support...... " It just all looks/feels different. I think in the old Firefox days, the line below was called Bookmarks Toolbar ? I can live with this, but I've spent 45 minutes trying to get 'the old way'. Now on that line below the main Search HTML box is also "Other Bookmarks", where I used to keep any site that was not on Bookmark Toolbar. Now this "Other Bookmarks" contains only one Tab called "FireFox Privacy", not any of my old "Other Bookmarks", that I thought I "Imported". I wish that my saved file that I "Export Bookmarks to a HTML.." did, when imported, that I would have been asked "Do you want your Imported Bookmarks to be installed exactly the way you had them when they were Exported?" Also I was on Linux Mint 22.2 on the first disk and also on Linux Mint 22.2 on my new SSD disk.

Hello there; I had installed the "savefrom.net" extension. This extension automatically generated the website address to the "bookmarks toolbar". I deleted the extension and deleted the shortcut as well. But when the bookmarked website shortcut "firefox" is closed and reopened, it adds itself to the bookmarks toolbar again. No matter what I did, it didn't work. I don't want to delete Firefox completely and reinstall it. Because there are too many shortcuts and data that I use all the time. How do you think I can solve this problem?

I reinstalled my computer from scratch with Windows 11, before this reinstallation I had Windows 10. Now I noticed that with the newest Firefox version 109 (that I also had before with Windows 10) and Windows 11 my multirow bookmarks toolbar doesn´t work anymore. Before the reinstallation it worked with the following code:

I already tried some other codes that I found in the internet but none of them worked. I have this code in the file userChrome.css, this file is in a chrome folder and this folder is in my profile folder. Can anybody tell me what I have to do to make the multirow bookmarks toolbar working again?

All of a sudden I can no longer add bookmarks to my Firefox desktop. At this point I can not even access the "Bookmark current tab." Are there settings that control the Bookmarks section. Thank you

Unsure which 'topic' deletion applies to. All of a sudden I am unable to add or delete from my bookmarks and I think I may not be able to delete anything anywhere else either. Why has this occurred, suddenly, and how can I fix it without hiring an IT pro? I have been using Firefox as a browser for over twenty years and this has never happened before. I am using Windows 10 and Firefox 146.0.1. Thanks, James.
