When I restart the system after a refresh or after shutting down, Mozilla takes FOREVER to connect/load webpages. (I can get on-line immediately after a reboot using Chrome, however). It is extremely frustrating as I have to leave the system on a webpage all day long and over-night so as not to have to go through the hassle of trying to get it to connect after an absence. Even when Mozilla requests I re-start for an update, it still takes forever. what is causing this and how can I fix it? Be advised, I'm not a computer whizz so please explain in non-tech talk. The Discord website does not play embedded video files (mov, mp4, etc). This is an issue specific to Firefox, and is not present in other browsers such as Chrome. This issue is only for video files and not embeds from sites such as Youtube or Twitter/X. Furthermore, when downloading these videos, they play solely the audio and not the video part of it. This is not an issue with any other downloaded video. I have tried clearing my cache and restarting Firefox, as well as disabling my extensions. None of which has worked.

I can't access my Manage Accounts page. When signed in, I've clicked on 'manage accounts', (via Browser menu, and in Settings) and it opens the error message below. I've tried to open the page on 'troubleshoot mode', restarted Firefox several times, and logged out and in, several times. I'm always getting the same error message. I'm on Windows 10. I desperately need to update my email, as my log in is being deleted and this is the only page to do this from. Can anyone help?

I have a PDF that opens and displays correctly in Adobe as well as the Edge Browser.

However, when I attempt to open it in Firefox in Windows 11 it doesn't show the letter "i" - - - I swear I'm not making it up. I had a friend try to open it in her Firefox (Windows 10) the letter "i" is also missing.

I wish I could attach the actual PDF so others can test but I will add a screenshot to this message.

Since the settings haven't given that option for years, the best way to have a local file as the new tab page was using autoconfig.cfg + autoconfig.js, as described in this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1251199 But since the most recent update (v136.0), this stopped working.

The New Tab Override add-on has its own issues with using local files (can only load a .html file, no local CSS/JS, can't give a blank address bar for me to search in), so it doesn't solve the issue either.

This is very important to me, and others have been asking for this feature back for years. It feels awful to have the working solution stop working, in the browser that's supposed to be open and customizable.

Using Firefox 136.0 and previous vers. Some web pages are displayed in portrait mode. (or seem to be) In Firefox these pages are??? not right. If I copy and paste url to MS Edge the page displays properly even although the presentation is still in portrait mode (or seems to be). i.e. the data displayed on the page does not go out to the edges of the screen but sits in the middle in portrait mode for example see: https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/

Since FF35, using linux with e26wm, the title bar is gone. Screen seems to be stuck in full setting - F11 just shows/hides top right min/max/exit toggles. Min/max doesn't work. Going to customize toolbars, title bar option is there and checked but the option itself looks like it is grayed out (lighter color). Screen cannot be resized. I am used to a menu accessed via rt. click on the title bar but that is gone (I do have access to that menu with combo alt/rt-clk anywhere on screen - see below). That menu had a shade option (window shade like) which I used extensively but thats gone. If I click alt-rt click anywhere on the screen, I can get my missing control menu back without the shade option but with a borderless option checked which cannot be changed. I am fully aware that linux + E26 is kinda out there but have been all over my settings (includes border settings which firefox ignores). I can't find any permission settings on config/js/pref files which may be a cause. Thing is, mozilla thunderbird's screens work and title bar is in place with desired menu, etc. as do all other apps except ms edge, which leads me to feel it is a firefox setting somewhere and I believe it is the side thingy that everyone seems to love in chromium/chrome might be the cause - the tabs on top option which I don't have an interest in. Sorry for the length here but I'm at my wits end and all a google search offers (here as well) is to go customize etc. etc. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated - been using FF on linux since day 1 without any problems I couldn't figure out till now.

How to add translation icon to the toolbar? The toolbar does not show the translation icon and Manage Toolbar does not show an icon for it. I am running Firefox 136.0 on Windows 10 Pro.

For the past few days when I use Firefox and Thunderbird my entire screen will randomly start to flicker, at times very quickly and rarely the entire screen goes black for second or two. This behavior immediately stops when I close the app. It does not happen with any other app. I've tried disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox and that didn't help. Both apps are on the latest version and I also updated my video driver. Tried removing the two add-ons I have. I'm on Windows 11 Firefox 136.0.

Hi, I use Firefox all the time, love it. But I have noticed a problem.

If I have say 7 tabs open, none of them doing anything, then go away from my laptop for say 20 minutes, when I come back the fans on the laptop are screaming. Even if it was minimise.

I have a fairly modern laptop Dell GSeries1522, 12th gen processor, 16gb ram, i7.

I have tested this issue using Edge and Chrome with exactly the same tabs open and the laptop is all quiet. I'm on the precipice of moving to Edge. Happy to provide more information. Task Manager now shows FF using 1223.0mb of memory, Edge 466.7mb. They are both in "efficiency mode".

Any help or advice would be great.

I've been using the firefox pdf viewer for quite some time and it's worked quite well. Within the last few days though I've developed an issue.

When I open a pdf it opens correctly for just a brief second (standard text, white background, nothing unusual) and then switches to something like the attached image (black background/ text and such). I have not changed anything that I'm aware of, though I did just recently install a new firefox update (136.0 64-bit windows 11). I didn't notice any articles or comments about this particular issue here yet, so figured I'd ask for some help.

Anyone know how to resolve this? Or other things I should look into?

My Firefox browser has been crashing for a while now (Years). It's fine playing YouTube and BBC iPlayer but when I advance the time marker to a different part of the stream or video, it crashes. It also has a problem when playing slots. It seems to crash a lot making it impossible to play.

I have tried using Firefox in Troubleshooting Mode but the same things happen.

refer attachment, i am unable to access this site. completely working fine in edge. what could be the issue as i reinstalled firefox and still is facing the issue.

All of a sudden my Apple laptop Firefox is responding VERY slowly. It takes about 10 seconds from hitting enter to any screen response. I've tried it with and without my VPN on, and there's been no changes to my Avast security software (that I know of). I've reviewed the settings/preferences without any clue about what is happening and what I could do to minimize it. I've run a speed check which resulted in 287 down and 190 up, so it's definitely NT my network.

I'm facing this problem of sound disappearance. I was casually browsing on YouTube when suddenly my sound went off. I thought maybe it was the internet but no everything was okay I also checked my speaker it was ok. Then I found out Firefox was unable to generate any sound. I tried to re-install but didn't work. Can you give me a solution?

I factory reset my pc and i logged back in to my firefox account and all my saved log ins and book marks are gone did i loose them for ever or is there a way to get them back?
