Hi,

On the "Your Firefox has updated" page, I recently found out that in addition to Firefox Sync, you can also create a backup in the form of a local file. When I try to follow the instructions on the support page for the function (here I get stuck. For some reason I am only allowed to choose a file to restore my data, but I am not allowed to create a new backup. I have tried refreshing Firefox and even creating a new profile, but both have the same issue. I am not seeing a "manage backup" button either (see screenshot).

It's not the end of the world thanks to Firefox Sync, but I would like to get it working as a nice backup :)

Today I updated to Firefox 143.0.3. When done (most of?) my add-ons were gone, in particular all my add blockers, facebook container, etc. Also, my search engine defaulted to Google (yikes!)from Duck Duck etc. I am very specific about trying to block all ads, trackers, etc and avoiding all Google products. Other things stayed the same like cookies preferences.

Is this done by design? Is there a file somewhere that still has all my add-on info, that I can restore.

I really would give up on browsing if I am forced to see ads all the time.

Unable to log into Google account after latest update

While I am able to log into my Google account in Chrome, I am unable to do so in Firefox after the latest update. Whenever I try, I am redirected to the attached support page, which asks me to delete cookies and cache contents. Deleting those does not help.

Please help!

Hello, Since the update on 24 June 2025, bookmarks are displayed in black text on a black background. Is this normal? If not, how can I resolve the issue? I had set it to dark mode, but even when I switched back to light mode, nothing changed. I would appreciate help from the community or Mozilla if anyone has a website address to contact them. Looking for a way to configure the "Share the screen" permission present in permissions for individual sites via GPO. I am aware of this doc but I can't find anything for setting this permission. Specifically, to block it for all sites with an explicit allow list.

The "Preferences" option won't suffice as permissions are stored in permissions.sqllite and are not part of the about:config preferences. The "Permissions" grouping lacks... the majority of the possible site permissions as well.

Hallo, ich arbeite gerne mit geöffneter Sidebar und bisher (bis Firefox-Version: 139.0 waren sowohl die Ordner der Sidebar, wie auch die in Ordnern abgelegten Webseiteneinträge immer in weißer Farbe (vor dunklem Hintergrund). Jetzt nach dem Update von Firefox auf Vers.: 140.0 ist der Hintergrund der Sidebar 'dunkelgrau' und die Schrift der Ordner und Webseiteneinträge sind in schwarzer Farbe, sodaß man diese nicht mehr richtig sehen kann; lediglich die Icon's der Webseiteneinträge sind in der entsprechenden Farbe/Logo der Webseite korrekt zu sehen. Liegt das jetzt am Update von Firefox 139.0 auf 140.0 ?? Die Sidebar war bis gestern noch korrekt und lesbar dargestellt !!

Using Firefox on Windows 11 I cannot access DocuSign files. I need to send a form to an on-line bank and want to use the DocuSign function. When I click on that option on the site all that displays on the screen is DOCUSIGN but the feature doesn't show. I tried turning off security addons such as Privacy Badger and Ghostery but that didn't help. I can get to the feature using Edge but I really don't like using that. Is there a setting that I've missed that may cause the disconnect?

The generic DocuSign site it https://powerforms.docusign.net/. Any other details in the URL I used refer to my bank and the account, so I am not including that information.

Using Firefox, my gmail inbox is my home page - and has been for several years. As of yesterday, the page opens but the page is blank. I am not aware of any changes that I have made.

I do not have this problem using chrome on the same device or firefox on other devices.

Probably something simple, but I have no idea what.

How to show all bookmarks not just recent ones?

I got a new PC and tried to import my Firefox bookmarks. But on the right side menu when you click bookmarks, it only show recent ones which actually aren't recent at all… (funda kabanzi)

Also I'm still getting a prompt underneath the address box to manage bookmarks and I can't get rid of it. How do I clear that out?
