Firefox will only start if I sign in as an administrator. It doesn't connect to the internet, and I can't get to the help screen. I did a refresh but that hasn't help. If I uninstall and then reinstall a new copy correct the problem? How do I save and reinstall my bookmarks and settings? I love Firefox and prefer it over other browsers. But I need to fix it and any help you provide will be very much appreciated. Thank you!

with this new version i lost everything i need to get back to an older version and get all my extentions my bookmarks back all my s desktop items that i had linked to firefox are gone i can no longer get face book or anything back to firefox book marks every thing i had with firefox

FF is offering up possible login names for a particular site I have used previously even though I have removed all related browsing history, form data, and cookies (and cleared the cache). What am I missing? Is it using stored history for unrelated sites to guess at a user name, or is there some other hidden history I need to clear?

In all webpages, including Firefox settings pages, text appears like poorly chosen Cleartype settings. This does NOT apply to the menu and Address bars, nor the drop down options in "Which topic best describes your question?" that appears when asking a question here. Troubleshooting mode does NOT solve this, however switching profiles DOES, so I imagine there is a setting responsible for this however I've reset all font-related settings I could find. I've attached a screenshot of the result on this page. Choosing alternative fonts does NOT solve this.

Sometimes when I click on a stored bookmark all I get is a white page and no info.? when this happens I right click on the firefox icon in the taskbar and go to a new private window and after that I can get to the bookmarked site. wondering why this happens at times. I am using windows 10 for now but am planning to build another computer with windows 11 in the future.

Dear Mozilla, I have enjoyed Firefox and I always appreciated the vast headline stories recommended in the past. Recently, there seems to be a change where every recommended article requires a paid subscription, i.e. Slate Plus, I already pay WAPO, NYT, WSJ, San Diego Union Tribune, Arizona Republic that i cannot afford to pay each and every website. I would be very happy if you could tell me where in my settings i can set it to show only free articles or perhaps my screen could show a little green dollar sign saying if article was behind a paywall. thank you for your time in reading and assistance. My shortcuts keep disappearing from my home page when I turn my computer on. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes I have to spend a long time trying to find them. Sometimes I just have to restart Firefox. Sometimes I have to go into settings. Sometimes I can't work it out.

Has been happening for the past month or so.

What seems like ages ago Firefox stopped displaying bookmarks I addition it would not add new bookmarks nor restore the existing ones. I've gone through all of the corrective procedures listed on and off but nothing works. As a final attempt I deleted the program and reinstalled it. No change. It seems to me that perhaps a missing file from another program or system is missing. Maybe!

I have been using an alternate system for some time. When installed it had no problem finding all of the Firefox bookmarks and placed them on the menu bar as "Firefox Bookmarks". I have no issues with using them but all new ones are stored in the current browser. Thus the new ones do not go into the folders previously set up. I've avoided moving them manually to the new system due to the volume but I am ready to bite the bullet.

I prefer Firefox but it's just not working.

Can anyone save Firefox for me.

After a random crash (I don't remember the details, been a while) I've "refreshed" Firefox. Following that I started to have some problems with Google Meet. Haven't had any for years and suddenly when i open Google Meet (working from home and using Google Meet as an online meeting platform daily), everything becomes unresponsive. I can't change tab, cannot close Firefox from the close button, nothing. I open the Windows Task Manager and End Task manually to close the window so I can restart the browser. After restarting Firefox and launch Google Meet, it doesn't crash.

The other problem is when I try to watch something on Netflix, I hear the sound, see the subtitles but the video content is not present. It's just black screen with UI on it. Yes, I checked the DRM setting and no, other streaming services that I use don't have this problem. I can bypass this by launching Firefox in troubleshoot mode but I want to use my extensions. I even tried to enable them one-by-one to see if anyone causing problems but even when I disable all of my extensions like in the troubleshoot mode I'm still having the same problem.

I tried several solutions that I found on reddit etc. but nothing worked so far. I also re-installed Firefox and nothing changed.

Please help me before I lose my mind (:

When I'm on my phone and signed into my Firefox I want to be able to send tabs to my desktop. I'll click the three dots on my Samsung 20fe, click share, and click send to device. My p.c. is listed and when i click on it, a box pop's up and says "tab sent. I don't know where it's going, but it's not making it to my desk top. I've tried logging out and logging back in. on both devises

I haven’t installed many new extensions. What steps can I take to identify the cause and optimize Firefox performance without resetting my entire browser profile? 🦊💻

My Firefox shortcuts keep disappearing: this is an almost daily occurrence. Sometimes they re-appear later without any intervention, sometimes they re-appear after a reboot. Right now, after rebooting and 'fixing' Firefox from Control Panel, they are still missing. I have 4 rows configured for both shortcuts and recent sites, and had 'pinned' about 20 shortcuts. Currently on Windows 10, soon to upgrade to Windows 11.

Can someone PLEASE tell me if there is a fix available for this (will it be resolved in Win 11?), or if there is a way to easily save and restore these backups when this problem occurs.

The ability to have 32 shortcuts is the motivating reason for my using Firefox over Chrome or Edge (which only allow 8), but if they keep disappearing like this I'm going to have to re-think my browser selection.

Windows10 simply multiplies the numbers of active Mozilla Firefox Apps which are open. Every day for about two weeks I've been having to delete hundreds of Firefox Apps open in the Task Manager. So many open in a very short time it locks up the Win10 system. I've attached a pic
