Using Firevox 142.0.1 on a MacBook Air. I always have "Always ask you where to save files" checked in Preferences, but lately it sometimes fails to ask me. For example, if I try to download a file from Google Drive. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there something I can do about it?

Google told me to go to About.Config, find "browser.tabs.showAudioPlayingIcon" then change the value to false. But, at least in my version of FF, that doesn't work because browser.tabs.showAudioPlayingIcon isn't listed. I'm running 142.0.01.

I know FF is trying to please all the wonderful teenagers who want to constantly screw around with software settings. But it would be really nice if such new "features" were not turned on automatically.

When I swipe to the left, Firefox navigates Back & when I swipe to the right, Firefox navigates Forwards. It is VERY ANNOYING!!!! It's really easy to do this accidentally while scrolling around a large web page. When you go back, it deletes all data that was filled out on the web form causing DOUBLE the work. This is a weird one for me. Firefox 142.0.1 Windows 10 Pro 22H2 AdBlock Plus and NoScript as add-ons

shows me as automatically logged into the site but will not load the TV listings for me in a normal window.

But if I use the same link in a private window it asks for my user name and password then shows the TV listings and continues to work as it always has.

What could possibly cause this? Has only happened for the last 4 days.

I want to hide the "Search with Google" option from the right-hand menu in Firefox. I'd appreciate it if you could tell me if there's a way to do this. I am intermittently but repeatedly getting this message in Firefox:

Is this a known problem? And does it have a solution?

I am suddenly unable to login to my iCloud account using Mozilla Firefox. I was always able to do so before now. I am able to login using Microsoft Edge browser. I have disabled the Firefox pop-up blocker but still not working. When I input my username and password, iCloud sends me an authentication code... but that next pop-up screen from iCloud having a place to input the code does NOT pop-up, so I cannot enter the code. That pop-up screen comes up in MS Edge. Any help is appreciated!! I'm running Windows 10

I am trying to create a csv file of my passwords to import to Microsoft Edge from FF. I went through these steps in Firefox:

Settings>General>Import>Select Passwords from CSV...

...and then it takes me to browse my computer for a CSV file that I have YET to create. I don't think this is how you create such a file.

I'm not sure how to import my passwords to create a CSV file so I can put them into MS Edge. When I tried importing my password (and all my other data) inside of Edge via Edge, it only brought in 235 passwords from Firefox where I have 422. So I would assume if I used and imported my passwords to Edge via a CSV file instead that all my passwords would populate in Edge not roughly half of them.

Could you please tell me how to create a password CSV file in Firefox to use in Edge?

It has always been the case that when I closed Firefox, it asked if I wanted my open files saved and reopened when I opened the browser again. I needed to restart my laptop and I decided to close Firefox first. It asked if tabs should be saved and I said yes. After I restarted the laptop and reopened Firefox, all of my open tabs (I think about 35) were gone. Can I get them back?

Y want to be able to chat with my friends in Facebook and at times it takes my 20 minutes of waiting to get connected!!! And now all of the blue I get a bunch of widgets instead and also A sign that says that there is a problem with my browser!!! Please help me out!!! Earlier, when I opened Firefox it didn't restore the tabs and windows I had been using from about 2 weeks ago. I tried looking in "History" in the Firefox menu but it only displays tabs and windows that I've closed and it doesn't have the tabs and windows I had actually open.

I've had the same Firefox settings since I first installed Firefox a few years ago and this is the first time this has happened... :'( :'( :'(

I must have had about 70 Firefox windows and even more tabs within those windows so this really hurt me... :'( :'( :'(

He intentado acceder a los ajustes, pero no sé cómo agregar la página de Google Translate (u otra) a los permisos, ya que no encuentro ninguna opción que me permita incluir manualmente una nueva URL para habilitar el micrófono. Tampoco aparece la opción para permitir el uso automático del micrófono.

Además, he notado que ahora hay una nueva ventanita a la izquierda del chat de ChatGPT (¡me gusta mucho esta función!), pero el micrófono tampoco funciona en esa sección.

Exactly the same issue with DuckDuckGo browser but no difficulties with Safari where I can login to Facebook as usual …

I disabled the AI summarizer almost immediately after seeing it because:

1. It was not able to summarize the page
2. It blocked the information I actually needed to see on the page

However, shortly after disabling it I got a pop-up ad advertising the feature! (attached)

Hello, any best practices for converting Firefox bookmarks once they're exported? The exported_bookmarks.html are an html file which are impossible to edit. Converting so the data for folders, titles and urls can be edited is what's needed.

I tried Vi with some Regex code, however the cleaned file is not so clean.
