Hi--is there a way to do this? My boyfriend accidentally deleted all my Firefox bookmarks last fall (hundreds), then restored the last backup from July, which he said for some reason was a lot larger than the most recent backup he saw, from October. (I hadn't deleted *that* many bookmarks between those two times, plus I had continued adding more, so I have no idea why the October file was so much smaller. Also, incidentally, I have no idea why there were no backups listed from the last one in July to the first one in October. I'm always actively adding and deleting bookmarks.) However, I made a ton of edits and additions to my bookmarks from July to October that I'd like to at least be able to access. I know I probably can't merge them with my current ones, but I'd at least like to be able to add them to what I have. I assume that if I could import these, they would appear in a separate folder, right? Thanks!

you are a bunch of nut cases. you post that you can help me edit a pdf then it takes me nowhere. I guess you have to have fired by McDonalds to work for firefox. very disappointed.

Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but when I try to take a document from one place and try to insert it into another document, hitting Crtl-A, Ctrl-C or -X to cut it from Doc 1 then hitting Ctrl-V and pasting it into Doc 2 wipes out the margin setting arrows so I can't change the margins to match Doc 2. And my attempts to get around that screw up the formatting of the document. Any suggestions? Thanks.

We're currently working on a demo that enables Stable Diffusion, a deep learning model that generates high-quality images according to text prompts, on web browsers with only client-side GPUs. In our use cases, WebGPU is a perfect fit. You can find our GitHub repository for this project here: https://github.com/mlc-ai/web-stable-diffusion.

However, at the moment, it's only possible to run the demo via Chrome Canary (Chrome's nightly build). We're very interested in getting it to work on Firefox as well, but we're encountering vague error messages in Firefox's nightly build with the `dom.webgpu.enabled` flag turned on.

I would love to ask two questions: 1) How mature is Firefox's WebGPU support on Metal? 2) Is there any pointers we could follow to develop WebGPU demos for Firefox?

How can I check FF buildID without installing it? I have update server and I use *.mar files downloaded from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/ to update my offline environment. But every new verison - I need to install at least one full package to extract buildID from it, to put it into update.xml file. It's really annoying. Is there easier way?

The issue I am facing, and for which I direct my question to all you intelligent beings, is that my network is being hammered by connections to firefox-settings-attachments.cdn.mozilla.net.

When looking at the squid logs, I see the following: access.log:1678216931.488 170104 1.2.3.155 TCP_TUNNEL/200 11400353 CONNECT firefox-settings-attachments.cdn.mozilla.net:443 - CARP/1.2.2.11 -

If I understand correctly, this connection is to download new files that pertain to security, cert revocation lists, blocklists, plus a bunch of non-security related stuff.

The question is, how do I make this file downloaded as small as possible while still keeping the security bits... (saw this page, and followed what I thought pertinent https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-stop-firefox-making-automatic-connections) The second question is... can we do a scheduled window to perform these downloads?

If you are asking why I am having network issues over 11 Mb, the answer is that all my clients go through a corporate proxy... We have many thousand devices and last time we choked the network with 80GB downloaded on a timeframe of 15 min.

Hi. I have about 15 home pages set to open when I open Firefox. I read the news, catch up on a few sites and have various jobs and tasks to complete. But whenn I've don all that, and close down Firefox, each time I open Firefox again to search for something etc, all 15 of my startup pages open up and I have to manually close them all down.

On Windows 11, all I need to do it right click the firefox icon and select open new tab. This is great, it opens Firefox with just a single new tab open. But on my iMac, this option is missing.

How can I re-open firefox with just a blank tab - or even just one specific page like Google?

I frequently use the Saved Credit Card feature for my own purchases.

However, I also have a side business where I process customer cards using Stripe. Every time I want to enter/modify a customer's card info, Firefox wants to autofill MY saved card information. While I can work around this, 1) It's annoying; 2) One day I might slip-up, and not notice I accidentally let Firefox autofill my card info in place of a customer's card info. That would be bad.

Is there a way to disable the Saved Credit Card on individual web sites? In my case, I want it OFF on Stripe.com, and ON everywhere else.

I learned that Firefox has pdf editor in the new version but I can't locate buttons to edit/fill a pdf document. I tried to search that on the web but could not find those. Would you please send me the tips on how to use this feature? Thank you.

I often use two firefox windows each with several tabs opened

Problem is when I quit in this state sometimes only one of those multiple windows gets opened on the next launch

To quit I do a `ctrl + q` or right click `Quit` from launcher bar

Is there a setting to tell firefox to always relaunch with the same set of windows ?

I use sync and this happens when using the same computer for the exit then relaunch of firefox
