I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

All my bookmarks disappeared. I followed the instructions on the "help" pages. I went to the list of my profiles and went through each one, trying to restore bookmarks from each profile. But all of my profiles are from 2019; no more recent profiles are listed. Thanks in advance for any advice

Have not been able to log on to a few sites (all financial base: bank etc) since approx April 2023 Have done all the dirty dozen: cache/update FF/reset/ disabled ad blocks etc.) and still no luck: had to revert back (after about 10 years) to safari (ugh) scoured back in archives for similar problems but found no answer. Does anyone have any idea? (i have not upgraded my mac os 10.14.06 and require itunes to remain) Thanks

For years I have used Firefox and every update has been seemless. This one is terrible!!

Every time I click to open a new tab, it opens a new page Every time I try to change tabs from previous to the update, it will not change. I am stuck on that tab Every time a new page is created I cannot open it because it has a "block pop up windows" and this is a setting that I did not change. I have had to turn off all blocking just to be able to change my password, to be able to typoe here.

You have basically stopped my studies until this can be rectified and I doubt anyone will repond to this message

This was resolved about a year ago; now the problem is back, as of updating to Firefox 113.0.1 this evening.

Initially post-update the close tab button was in a weird, random place on the tab bar. I have adjusted the margins to put the button back where it's supposed to be!

I changed :

.tabbrowser-tab .tab-close-button {
  opacity: 0;
  margin-left: -4.5px !important;
  margin-right: 2px !important;
}

to:

.tabbrowser-tab .tab-close-button {
  opacity: 0;
  margin-left: -4.5px !important;
  margin-right: 35px !important;
}

to move the button back onto the left. That may seem like a drastic change but that's the lowest value I could find which produced the result I want.

However, it's not quite the result I want! As of updating to 113.0.1, the tab title itself now disappears altogether on hover.

I have tried to correct this in CSS using the .tab-text and .tab-label attributes, but without any luck so far.

Can anybody help me with this, before I'm forced to downgrade to Firefox 112?

Better yet... how about we just make this an option in Settings, as it should be?!

I'm really happy with this, except for the fact that it is visible all the time, so also in full screen.

Q: can I put a command in front so this hides in full screen? Been looking, trying for ages now.

I have been noticing for quite a while that when I am scrolling down an different websites, suddenly the display is jumping and it skips part of the displayed list. This happens quite consistently.

An example is when scrolling down at:

I switched to Safari and there is no jumping.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is this a reported bug? Thanks.

I am wondering if I am the only one experiencing problems with Firefox with using some websites. I have no choice but to use Safari, which works without any issues when I am encountering these problems with Firefox on a Mac.

My privacy preferences are set to Standard.

Sample websites with issues with Firefox: - substack.com; I could not create an account - paulaschoice.com - I wanted to purchase some items that were in my cart. After I entered all needed info to pay, the button for CHECKOUT just didn't do anything.

Safari had no problems doing the above.

Am I doing something incorrectly?

Whazzup with the latest release? i can no longer use the Move To function because it hangs forever with "Loading" displayed (as it displays file moved message) Please fix asap... my main email is getting chocked up because i can't move emails to my categories!

Using Mac OS 10.14.6. Firefox updated 4/11 with #112. Cannot log into a site which I previous had no problems with. Message from the site states password not recognized. Cleared cookies, history, and cache. This occurs on both Mac computers. Safari works fine. I don't know if it's the site or latest update.

I tried the shield, changing the settings, putting it in as an exception and I still can't get my programs to load tonight. I pay for this subscription and it worked before you changed your setup. Now I never know when firefox will let it load. I hate safari, but at least it loads my shows.

I do not want Firefox to allow: automatically install; check for: or use a background service for updates and i hate annoying pop ups telling me about updates ≈ every week.

It also generates warnings from all my cites with new logins etc

I don't need to be up to date on all decimals! Please allow also a less annoying schedule as every major update or every 5th or 10th update like 120, 130 etc

does anyone know what to do to make the background of the bookmarks icon and the reload icon the same as the icon with the site connection lock? I've exhausted all options in the userChrome.css and cant get the background to change. It's in hover state.

For reference I've added a couple of images, the first how the background is and the second how I would like it to look. I'm on macOS and latest Firefox 111.

Using Firefox 111.0.1 (64 bit) on MacOS 10.14

In file save dialog neither 'Cancel' nor 'Save' button works. I can change folders in the file save dialog and maximize the dialog, so it is not a system wide problem. Only the 'Cancel' and 'Save' buttons are not working and the only solution is to force quit Firefox. In this example it happens on dropbox, but I experienced the error on other websites too.

I've used Firefox for years on my iMac with its 5K display. The UI was fine. Today I had to delete and then re-install Firefox because the program had started crashing repeatedly. I lost a lot of bookmarks & tabs. Upon opening the new install, I saw that Firefox now shows a miniaturized UI that is very difficult to read. I refer to the UI elements (tabs, bookmarks bar, URL/search field), not the web pages themselves. As part of the installation, I went through all the settings, and I didn't see any controls for the sizes of UI elements. So I searched the internet and found many reports of similar problems over many years. I tried a few suggested changes to about:config settings. Nothing has worked. I am exasperated. What am I missing? Can anyone help?

I searched in Google and this website for instructions for how to delete specific cookies for a website. Many instructions are probably for older versions of Firefox.

I used to be able to login as of this morning to Wizzair.com. Then suddenly, regardless what I do, I can no longer use Firefox to login. I used the Preferences/Privacy & Security/Cookies & Site data/Manage Data for Wizzair.com to remove the cookies for the website, but it didn't help. I changed the password, it didn't help.

Their chat support sent me to their Privacy statement. There, there is custom list of cookies that they use. I was told to try to delete them individually... I have no idea how to do that and I could not find a method that works.

I can login the website using Safari. Any suggestions for what to do to be able to use again Firefox to login into this website? Thanks in advance.

My Firefox has just started crashing frequently. 2012 MacBook Pro, Mojave 10.14.6

Here is the latest submitted crash. I have followed all the steps in the Help document. Systam is up to date, so is Firefox Crash still happens in "Troubleshoot" mode.
