For the last few weeks, at the least, I have been getting a notification to update Firefox upon initial launch. I update, shut down Firefox, and restart. Right away I am again given the update notification.

I wan to redirects every HTTP URL goes int he address bar to HTTPS by default. How can I do this from the browser configurations? i.e. from (about:config) or something similar?

In my news clips and news videos a short commercial usually appears. Suddenly, these are all in Spanish--I have not changed anything, nor requested a language change. When I check my mozilla settings, English is my designated language of preference. I cannot find a listing for Spanish nor another way to change my language to English.

You used to be able to click on a tab & it would get you back to the last tab. Also, using the mouse wheel to scroll tabs was useful. This was a very convenient way to navigate, but it no longer works. Is there a way to get it back?

When I click links that Mozilla actually links me to, I get a lot of the insecure connection messages. A lot of times it is for big websites that are totally secure. What is more frustrating is that even after I go to advanced and click "add exception" it still won't let me visit the page. I love Firefox but you guys are making it harder and harder for me to surf the web :-(

I purchased tickets directly from the official French Open website. They are available for download and printing and were emailed to me. However, when I try to download, I get a message that the connection failed and received data cannot be verified. I would like to be able to print these here at home in the US before I travel to Paris.

im using wammp server 3 and when i write my code on a dreamweaver and try to run it on a browser there is an error msg saying it cant connect to server in localhost

I use Windows 7 Home Office. I have no interest or desire in going to Windows 10 or using anything like Twitter, Facebook, Android, I-Phone and the like. Firefox keeps badgering me to update. Update to what???? One of these things I don't use and don't want to????

I love my iMac and it works perfectly well for everything I need. I have El Capitan installed as OS, but each version update to Firefox makes my browsing experience slower, slower, slower. And I love Firefox - have been using it for years. I was especially disappointed with the 57 update because it was touted as blazingly fast. Maybe that message was silently intended for new machines. It has made loading a simple web page "critically" slow. I expect a fizzle soon.

So here is the quandary: Is there not a way to make security updates without compromising speed for older machines? Those who say, "get over it, get a new machine" may not be as sensitive to the harshness of assumed obsolescence.

-- I am now getting NO AUDIO from Firefox on my iMac running OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite. -- Audio is fine on Safari and on computer alerts, etc. -- I was running Firefox 50.1.0 when audio stopped. I have now upgraded to 57.0.4 and still no audio. -- I have tried to follow directions on the Mozilla site such as 'Clear Cache.' 'Check Some Firefox Settings,' 'Update Your Plug-ins," and 'HTML5 Audio and Video' but have not had any result. I also found the directions hard to follow.

My home computer Firefox screen and with ALL my information suddenly showed up on my work computer when I opened Firefox this evening. This is very bad as other people use this computer as well. I didn't sign-in to anything or even open my personal email account. i just opened Firefox to use the internet as I always do and what came up is what I see on my home computer. How did this happen? And far more important, how do I make this go away immediately. Like, this minute. this must be the fault of Firefox Sync, which has turned out to be a complete nightmare. I disconnected my work computer from sync but apparently it's back again. In fact, i never added my work computer to my sync account to begin with. I wouldn't be that stupid. But the work computer showed up anyway. I got rid of it, but it came back tonight. Basically, it's hijacked Firefox/Google on my work computer, It's bringing up my personal computer Firefox/Google page - AND all my personal information, including history, passwords, bookmarks in the process - instead of the Firefox/Google page that normally is displayed when Firefox is opened on my work computer. Even with deleting my sync account my personal page is what comes up when opening Firefox. This could be disastrous. The IT department would just love to see this coming up on one of their network computers. Sync is a terrible idea.

How can this be corrected and all my personal information deleted from my work computer?

i updated fireox to the new version and since then i find it horrible even to describe what i see ... i have a 4g memory ram firefox is eating up to 2.5 of it just for afew pages opened...i tried many soloutions to fix this i even installed a new windows 7 on my computer but the problem still exist ... i think it was the baddest desion i ever made is to update firefox to this new crap updates those updates actually destroyed firefox... what am seeing here ? dozens of firefox taps in taskmanager process after it was only one tap in the old versions? see the image below this thing you cant find in any other browser i think i am moving out of this browser after these terrible updates

Firefox said they are collecting info from me that makes launching firefox delay for a while before launching. There were instructions to turn off this "feature", but it is no longer available. Tell me again how I can prevent this delay on launching firefox.

I DO NOT WANT ALL THE SURVEYS, MONITORING, AND THE REST.

I am a Senior and I don't graze, browse, stream,play games or use social media, or watch tv on laptop. It is for work, not play.                   I do not want my pc clogged up and the speed dragging with all the new junk offered.  
I would like to have a security upgrade without all the other irrelevant additions that are totally unwanted and would be unused. .

SECOND ISSUE: This offer below, I found accidentally while trying to find where to contact you:... "Switch to Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) for personal use How to switch to Firefox ESR as a workaround for issues with the newest version of Firefox." THIS, to help you back out of any problems you encounter when you do upgrade, does not encourage me to download this current update. I still remember the frustration the last time I downloaded a major update and had problems. I left IE because of the regular freezing and crashes slow downs, etc. To my surprise, I found that most people just tolerated these things as part of doing business!?! I was so happy when someone suggested Firefox. I have had NO freezes, crashes or other problems since. Please dont overload us with things that could contribute to the same thing happening on Mozilla. In this instance, you do NOT want to be like MS product that continues to turn out versions too soon w/all it's bugs that the poor user has to fix. I will go to Linux or Mac if that happens.... After Firefox recently updated I can't turn off private browsing.

I go to Options -> Privacy & Security -> Uncheck "always use private browsing mode". At this point Firefox must restart to disable this feature, and when Firefox restarts the browser is still in private browsing mode.

Any solutions?

When I look at my options, the update feature is disabled, says by system administrator. I am the only user, and I didn't disable anything. How do I fix this - and keep from getting the nagging notification that my Firefox is severely out of date?

I have a translator installed on my father's computer because he only reads in russian although his computer is located in the US recently, it recently stopped translating pages it used to translate. Can someone call and help us troubleshoot this issue.
