Hi I can't open some https websites like https://openssl.org/ I get this error message:

Secure Connection Failed

The connection to openssl.org was interrupted while the page was loading.

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

This only happens on my default profile and other profiles are OK. I started firefox in safe mode (Add-ons disabled) and the problem still exist. I'm using firefox 39.0.3 on windows 7 and I don't want to update to a newer version.

I recently installed Advance Care program. After that I had several problems with my computer. The one I am writing about is that every page I visit is automatically saved to bookmarks. And some that I want bookmarked disappear. How can I fix it?

Was using 41 and crashes started after a month or so. Reformatted and reinstalled and still after about 2 weeks crashes on startup and cannot send crash report. Uninstalled 41 and put 39 and immediately crashing. Does start in Safe mode. Heres the crash report

So I'm procrastinating .. maybe I'm busy? .. or perhaps I want to get reviews before clicking the 'update' button into the unknown! But with all of the 'great' GUI designers behind Firefox, the Update reminder looks like a slap in the face when you are busy working! Its a mostly empty block designed to just annoy, more than inform!

Why cant the update notification be smaller? .. better yet a balloon or a button that appears on the tab? .. endless possibilities.. But nooo .. the big, ugly and empty pop up is too-cool retro to change or update into something better!

What do you think guys? .. time to look into it?

I accidentally hit the "Always Allow" button for a website instead of the "Always Ask" buttton so I no longer get asked, Firefox allows Shockwave to run all the time for this website.

How can I get it back to "Always Ask"?

Windows 7 x64 Firefox 39.0.3

I've always managed to play music files in Amazon until either a recent Windows or Firefox update - don't know which came first. Regardless now as Amazon apparently use m3u files & I don't seem to have a plugin for them it keeps wanting me to download or save them etc, which isn't what I want to do with a few dozen I want to sample.

I have the VLC media and WMP plugins both set to always active & have rebooted Firefox numerous times while working through this issue, but presumably neither of these work for m3u files?? I've read more posts about somewhat similar issues but none of the various fixes have worked for me e.g. about:options plugins - True (not sure exactly which one it was I had to change) . I've downloaded & tried installing a "media pack" for Win 7 but that didn't work either.

Never had this problem until recently through multiple updates of both Windows &/or Firefox so a bit stumped as to what else to do. The only file types mentioned in Options are mp3/4/mpeg4/wmp.

I press '+' at the top of the page next to the open tabs, but a new tab doesn't open. I have also tried 'command T' nd nothing happens. Could you tell me how to open a new tab? Please try to make your answer in plain English because I don't understand techno-jargon. Thanks.

I was helping my husband by setting up a Facebook account for him - not thinking - that I was on MY computer. Now when I log in to Facebook on my computer (from Firefox) - it brings his account up - not mine. Is there a 'fix'? He really could care less if I deleted his account altogether.

Firefox recently auto-upgraded from 39.0.3 to 40.0.2 on two of my Win7 machines. After the upgrade neither machine could load a radio station's Flash stream. Reinstalling 39.0.3 returns the streaming to normal.

The Flash stream is called from the radio station's home page using this URL: http://player.streamtheworld.com/liveplayer.php?callsign=KTWSFM The home page is: www.thetwins.com

The call opens a new FF window and the stream starts to load but stalls on a gray screen. There are no error messages.

I tried updating both the Shockwave Flash and Adobe Flash play plug-ins to the latest version but this did not fix the stream problem.

FWIW I have not tested with other Flash web content.

It would be great if this could be fixed.

I've just upgraded to Windows 10 and while trying to set up the parental controls I came across this issue.

When I open the Family website and try to look at the details for one of the kids in Firefox 39.0.3 the page just sits there saying "Loading..." indefinitely.

In Microsoft Edge it loads the data instantly.

I tried disabling uBlock Origin which I have always running but that didn't make a difference... Has Microsoft done something to prevent us from using Firefox for these pages!?

Since I clicked the "Learn how to speed it up", Firefox isn't opening Facebook properly - there are no images just horrible text. I've tried clearing the cacje and cookies but still not working. I can log in fine on Chrome and IE but I hate them both and want mire Foxy back! :P Please help!

I have tried to make a bookmark multiple sites using multiple means to no avail. No form pops up and no new bookmark shows up. I have rolled back the version and can make bookmarks.

I want to set the Firefox open the magnet links with utorrent. I choose from the menu "tools-options-applications" and does not respond. Will not open the menu "applications" to do the settings. I uninstalled and installed the Firefox again but the problem remains.

Upgraded from Firefox 39.0.3 to 40.0.2, and it crashes on startup (even in safe mode). Rolling back to 39.0.3 works fine.

The latest Intel 5500 video card drivers provided by Lenovo have been installed (10.18.14.4206)

I upgraded to 40.0.0 today. I found a site with an RSS feed that I wanted to follow. I keep my RSS feeds in folders on my Bookmark Toolbar. I tried to load it to the appropriate folder, but it loaded to the toolbar itself. The feed showed new entries. I tried to move it to the proper folder and it stopped listing any RSS entries. I again tried to save the new feed to the proper folder. This time it did not appear on the Bookmark toolbar, but it did not appear in the folder I had said to load it to. I went back to 39.0.3 and it works properly. I am running the LiveClick addon, if that helps. I am posting using 39.0.3. All other extensions are what were in use under 40.0.0

I am fed up with Windows always changing things. I have been reading about using Linus as an operating system & that Firefox works well with it. However, I want to know what Mozilla thinks of Linux operating system. I used Windows 98 Excell to develop my bookkeeping system and do not want to do all those formulas over again. Need help and thinking of changing to Linus operating system. I know Mozilla is the best and will tell me if I am making a bad decision.

Also, I use mail.com for some of my emails and it keeps telling me my browser (Firefox) is out of date, but I can't find an update. I don't want mail.com as my home page, either.

I can see for a second a white empty square as if it is trying to download but is stopped or something. I tried turning Windows 10 security off, but it made no difference.
