Hi, Today I discovered that firefox has logged me out of every site. I checked the cookies and there were cookies.sqlite and cookies.sqlite.bak. When I delete the newly created cookies.sqlite and rename cookies.sqlite.bak to cookies.sqlite, I am logged back in to all sites and everything works fine. I notice that the cookies.sqlite.bak file is created when I go to twitch.tv. Can I check what is causing this problem and fix it somehow? I've already tried deleting the cookies just from the twitch.tv site, but that doesn't help.

Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (I assume it's one of the options I have thru Firefox to block cookies), and I can't find where to allow cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences etc) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to (try, I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! I'm having problems with a website constantly asking me to accept cookie permissions. It happens on some other sites occasionally, but this particular site is one that I use each day.

When I visit the site I get the cookie permissions box. I click accept all cookies. No matter how many links I click I am presented with the box yet again. It doesn't happen with Chrome, Edge or Brave.

I am old-school security conscious & have been using FF since its inception. Really. Clear my cache & delete browsing cookies on a regular basis. I use a private window for shopping and q&a info gathering. Recently I saw Walmart.com showing up in my cookies and couldn't figure out how/why as I *only* look at Walmart in a private window. Today I realized Walmart has managed to bypass the private window options and place cookies anyway! To say I'm furious about this is an understatement. I have adjusted my settings to "Strict" but it's still able to bypass the private window and is staying on my computer. I am updated to the most recent FF version; running MacOs Sonoma 14.7.7 which was just recently updated; I'm not going past this one for now but that really shouldn't be the issue. This is most definitely a FF issue and one that needs to be rectified not just because it's Walmart but because if they can do it so can others soon enough. This cannot stand.

I have an issue with Firefox 127 not accepting a session cookie that I use for user authentication. I have an ASP.NET application with a login form that includes fields for login and password, and a submit button. When the button is clicked, an HTTPS/POST request is sent to the server. The server responds and sends back a session cookie named .Cookie.Name with the parameter httpOnly set to true.

When I check in Firefox's Developer Tools under the Network tab, I can see .Cookie.Name in the server response. However, in the Developer Tools under the Storage tab, .Cookie.Name is missing, which prevents the user from logging in. This problem does not occur in other browsers like Chrome or Edge, nor does it occur in Firefox version 126. The configurations for Firefox 126 and 127 are identical.

Could you please assist with this issue?

Hello. I keep getting Firefox ReCAPTCHA tests over and over again when opening certain websites. So maybe I can fix this issue without deleting my browsing history?

Could you kindly advise? WashingtonPost.com does NOT ask to accept cookies even after I deleted all cookies, website data and cache (but in Opera it does ask for cookies), after Firefox automatically deleting cookies and website data after closing Firefox, and after cleaning cookies, website data and cache with Ccleaner — WHY? Which mechanism of Firefox is exploited by WashingtonPost.com? And what should I do? Thank you!

Every time I would try to log in it would always redirect me to a website that contain only the words "Expected redirect cookie to exist"

It's really annoying because it only happens on Firefox. For some context I just re-installed Windows 11 and I heard from another post that re-installing Windows 11 will help but I do not want to go through the whole process again.

I have already tried:

• Turning off DNS over HTTPS
• Turning Off Proxy
• Clearing Cache and Cookies
• Reinstalling Firefox

I have been using firefox for years. I have made no changes to settings. I got a blue screen yesterday and after that firefox keeps logging me off of everything I close it. I have tried about:preferences#privacy then going to History and clear history when firefox closes and only selecting cache. Does not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox twice but i think it does not delete everyhing. I still have access to history after the reinstall.

Firefox recently 'crashed' on my desktop PC. It asked me to restart in safe mode or restore to the original state. I chose to restore. This meant that I had to re-add all of my add-ons and log back into my favourite sites as my log-in details had disappeared. I got everything back to normal eventually, except for one very important site. I am now no longer able to log on to my bank website to review my accounts. I get an error message on the site saying " Log on error. You need to enable cookies in your browser to logon to Internet Banking." I have never had this problem before. I am able to log on successfully on my tablet, and also via a different browser on my desktop PC. I'm not a tech expert so this is very frustrating. I've tried clearing cookies/cache/data in the settings but no success. I really need to access my bank accounts on my desktop as I find this easier. Hopefully you can help as I don't want to use a different browser.

If i understand correctly, firefox has total cookie protection enabled by default i.e. cookies are not shared among sites. I can see partition key is being set for the cookies which helps in maintaining cookie jars.

I am just curious to know if these cookie jars exist for firefox extensions also? For example, from a specific add-on if a certain cookie is set for demo.com then i dont see any partition key associated with it. Does this violate total cookie protection? And is this a bug or a special feature that firefox extensions can utilize?

On ubuntu oracular 24.10, when firefox is launched, it tries to open a UDP listening port on all network interfaces which is not acceptable on many levels:

/usr/bin/netstat -tunpevaW|grep firefox udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:48654 0.0.0.0:* 1000 881247 178766/firefox

Is this behavior specific to Ubuntu or is it implemented by design? This must be a no go by design: if it needs a UDP port for some reason, it has to open it on the **loopback interface (127.0.0.1)** only.

I usually watch YouTube with Enhanced Tracking Protection turned on, Private Browsing turned on, and cookies turned on without logging in, but I have never had any problems. I can no longer open YouTube pages at all unless cookies are turned on. I will ask Google to improve this, but could Mozilla also investigate the cause? Thank you in advance.

I have attached images of what slowly occurs when I don't clear my cookies, websites start to slowly and slowly load less and less until they eventually completely break and wont load and I have to clear my cookies, resign into everything. and rinse and repeat every few days or a week, I also attached an image of what the purchase screen is supposed to look like. For the past few days, I keep getting logged off of my Firefox account each time I start up Firefox, a problem that has only began happening since going to a new computer. From what I could tell, the issue was not over from the computer, so I am wondering what the issue can be with Firefox.

Recently this month, watching Youtube videos has been a total chore on Firefox. Every so often, when I load up a video from Youtube, I get a blank player with no video in it. Every other aspect of the page template loads properly, but the video is just not there. The only fix for this is to clear my cookies and it's annoying to have to do this every week just to watch Youtube videos.

I've tried using other Firefox Forks, and they've had the same issue. I've used other browsers, specifically Chromium ones, and have not run into the same issues as of yet. I've isolated the problem down to my cookies, as deleting just the cache doesn't do it. Resetting the browser doesn't do it. Clearing my search history doesn't do it. Disabling all my addons doesn't do it. Signing in and out of my Youtube account doesn't work either. Any combination of all these fixes doesn't make the problem go away. The only thing that I've found to work is clearing my cookies.

Is there a way I can fix this? Please let me know ASAP.

I maintain application that uses OWIN Microsoft library for authentication. It uses .AspNet.Cookies to pass auth information. For unknown reasons I see that Firefox 127 rejects that cookie. I've tried with SameSite Lax/None/Strict and Secure param but no results. Previous versions and other browsers ( Chrome, Edge Safari ) woks fine. Any idea ?
