I recently had an issue with my computer screen. The computer itself worked fine, but the screen needed to be replaced. Stupidly, I went to the Bestbuy I bought it from to use the warranty for repair. They sent it out, I just got it back, and it says they replaced my motherboard for whatever reason. My downloads and such back up automatically, but because I didn't expect them to do something so drastic, I neglected to create a backup key for my tabs and bookmarks. Obviously, they're all gone now. Is there any way I could possibly get any of this back, or am I screwed out of luck because those morons made a drastic decision that did not need to be made? I'll apologize ahead of time for my lack of technical know-how.

When I log into a website, say amazon.com, and it prompts me to add a passkey, my only option is local windows machine.

If I use Chrome, I can choose between Google PW manager and hardware key.

Once I save the passkey in Chrome, it works just fine in Firefox.

Is this expected behavior? I used FF for personal browsing and don't really want to move to Chrome.

Hi, new Firefox Win 11 user, new laptop, how do I enable main touchscreen gestures, swipe, pinch etc. All other apps, browsers work, so HW / drivers work. Can't find how on user forums, or in settings.

On all three computers, I have "Always ask you where to save files." On all three computers, it never asks and always stores in Download.

On my work computer, Outlook's problem is that all hyperlinks open in browsers while we use Sharepoint links. I want the pdfs to open in Acrobat. I've changed the Applications section, just below Downloads, to use Acrobat for pdf files. I was hoping that would mean Outlook would tell Firefox, my default browser, to open the pdf, FF would see it's a pdf, and it would open Acrobat. That's not happening.

Any clues how to resolve either?

144.0.2 firefox version has an issue with bookmarks keep, they keep dissapearing & i have to use firefox fix from uninstall option to restore. unable to use email links as it requests that i close firefox window before it can open links, when i do this all bookmarks are gone & i then have to start again. I'm running win11 25h2 with all updates done both chrome & edge are not causing issues

Trying to set up Firefox on new computer. Haven't used log-in for years. My email account is closed. So code is sent to defunct email. How can I get access to my account so I can change my email address and get Firefox synced to my new computer? For some time now while using Firefox, I've had to reenter my password when trying to visit new tabs of the site discord.com, even when using a link that should directly take me there (or duplicating the tab.) This is unexpected behavior and on a new profile of Firefox (or in other browsers), discord remains logged in even when the site is visited in a new tab.

Now you should probably know that I use the more tools option to customize the look of my browser. I generally enable the titlebar and bookmark toolbar for personal preference. After several hours of testing and tweaking and trying to bug test the issue I've realized that there is a correlation and discord only forces me to log in again when I have either the titlebar or bookmarks toolbar enabled on the current profile.

I would really like a fix that I can either do myself or would like to see this bug addressed in the future. There's no reason that my choice to use the titlebar or bookmark bar should affect my browsing?

I can log into a random website and it goes right in then turns black and i can't see anything, i shut it down .... bring it back up and it does it again, any ideal what is happening ?

Wenn ich Seiten aufrufe (Routenplaner, Googlemaps usw. die auf meinen Standort zugreifen wird ein Standort in Mexiko angezeigt. In Google Chrome wir der korrekte Standort angezeigt.Ich brauche eure Hilfe!

I clicked on the Google icon and got a screen that said "Gak, that site just crashed" Has been happening periodically with other links. If I restart the computer the problem disappears so I can ask you for help Thanks
