I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

Firefox just says "connecting" on the tab and after thirty minutes the page doesn't load. I have tried restarting my computer a few times, and have uninstalled then reinstalled Firefox. It is not a problem with the connection and does not appear to be a problem with my security. I've been using Firefox for over a year on this computer, then suddenly this. What do I do?

I seem to have multiple tabs immediately beneath the browser url field and above the page tabs.

Each says Start (0).

I have no idea 1) how they landed 2) what they're for; and 3) how to get rid of them.

Help appreciated!

Firefox crashes as soon as you open it. Fully removed and reinstalled, still the same. Tried updated drivers and windows.

Firefox opens for about 4-5 minutes, crashes without warning. Not updating page when crashes. Using Version 37.02, Win server 2012.

Seemed to start when 37.02 was updated. Tried refresh and clean re-install. Has lost all saved bookmarks and data in the re-install. Also crashes in safe mode. Virus and malware scans clear. Cannot get Firefox stable for long enough to submit this query, so I have had to do it through IE

firefox is a great browser and I just recently having problem with it.

whenever I click on firefox, it will open but then close after 2 seconds and will re-open again in 2 seconds. the same cycle keep happening but I still cannot find any solution.

I have tried re-installing it but still no luck.

In the last few days Firefox keeps crashing on starup. Firefox will not open. Error message "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." Yesterday got it to open once after computer restart. Next attempts failed with same error message. Today tried un-install and re-install Firefox. Still will not open. Please help.

Just got my new Macbook 12in 2015 and migrated all my files, but no apps. So I reinstalled Firefox for Mac on this new laptop thru Safari. It opened right up and had all of my info saved - history, bkmarks, etc - which was great. But I can only get it to open new Tabs. It will not open up a New Window from the file menu, or the shortcut.

I reinstalled another dmg of Firefox thru Safari, but now the Preferences also won't open. Nor New Windows again.

I've been using Firefox for years and don't know how to migrate all my info from FF into Safari to be able to use New Windows in that program. Please help : ) Carolyn

I tried to delete browsing and web history when closing Firefox and this problem happened with Firefox immediately hanging up not closing except on 'force quit' and then totally not opening at all. It won't open in Safe Mode just zilch happening! Nothing I've tried has worked. I've removed and reinstalled Firefox, it but the same immediately happens. I am an older person and not a tech head! So need some simple instructions. Presently I am using Safari and but would like to get Firefox back and reinstalled again so I can access my book marks. Thanks for your help.

This should be an easy fix because all other browsers and Firefox used to do this. When Firefox is restarted the pages do not reload they just display history. I have to hit the reload current page button to get the new data. This has been driving me crazy for a few weeks. I thought I had if fixed a couple of times but only a couple of pages would reload and now it is all history again.

I have tried everything I can find to stop bing.vc from opening as the start page in firefox version 39 and so far nothing has worked. I am unable to find any reference to in in about:config; a refresh of firefox did not help; no add-ons refer to it and conduit or search protect do not appear in uninstall programs in control panel. No malware removal tool has any effect on it and I have used all that were recommended on the Mozilla support site. Help please!!

I use OS 10.9.5 Build 13F1096. In System Preferences, Users & Groups, Login Items I have added Firefox 39.0 to the list of applications that open at startup but it usually closes immediately after it opens. Is there a remedy? Thank you.

When I install Firefox it works fine. Installation does not include a shortcut on my desktop, so when I attempt to start it again, I go to "all programs." Then I get the "specified path does not exist" message. I suspect that this has something to do with confusion between two hard drives. C: drive, a small SSD, contains the operating system and various other software. D: drive is my data drive, contains other applications, music, photos, etc. The path referred to in the error message is D:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe.

Firefox does not provide the option of choosing a drive for the installation. Is it possible that it installs automatically to the C: drive, and the shortcut keeps sending me to the D: drive?

If you have any other thoughts or suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted all profiles, viewed and attempted every suggestion that was found via search engine. Firefox will only start with -P option and creation of new profile. Once closed, it will not open again using the profile just created. Any ideas as to what type of additional troubleshooting that is available. There are no crash reports or logs generated anywhere that can be found. Running on Windows 7 Professional.

Firefox 40.0.3 will not start or open. I Uninstaller and put on 36.0.3 and it runs. Once I go to the About tab it automatically downloads the latest version. Then when I click on the Firefox icons nothing happens. I have repeated this process several times with the same results. XP Pro SP3

Firefox 40.0.3 will not refresh or restart after crash report (28 crash reports in the last 24 hours) still have bookmarks and ad-ons (such as Lastpass) but Firefox will not connect. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled but same thing occurs… please help
