hi, developer Firefox I would like to thank you for the awesome works you have made in 'Firefox' to me, I have used 'Firefox' for along years ago it's the best browser I've been used at all but I always ask why 'Firefox' don't have an option to prevent the browser from open until the user enters the password I think it's more secure if it will be offered in the new version please take this issue into considering

Hello mozilla support. Firstly I apologize for my english. I love Firefox and using him for many years this time i run on 64bit version number 88.0. I recently discover problem with my saved passwords in Firefox and i mean this broke my or everyone privacy using feature of saving passwords by Firefox. After some time past installation of antivirus program Avast on my desktop PC i was surprised with new installed program on my desktop named Avast Secure Browser. I ran this program first time and without any his any question he show up in front of meon desktop. I discover in his settings that all my passwords saved in Firefox was succesfully decrypted because when i click on the eye icon my password was showed up as he is in firefox. Then i search for a file in my user profile where the Avast Secure Browser has my passwords stored and then check this file on all other user profiles on my PC where nobody not even once run this Avast Secure Browser but all passwords was already prepared for them in that file on all user accounts without any grant or approval by other users during their work on PC. I am only man which administrate this PC and I dont allow Avast Secure Browser stole my passwords from Firefox. My questions is obvious. How secure is for any user which stored their passwords in Firefox before any other system application like antivirus installed on PC with platform windows? How is possible for any app simply decrypt my passwords from logins.json file? For me it is a very bad if this was allowed through maybe some function in Firefox API that can some program use, but i am not an expert on Firefox a that is why i wrote this. If a problem is Avast which use some not good practise in this app, then i immediately send him feedback. But firstly i want answer from your team.

On one computer Firefox won't login to a certain website - the login screen just remains unchanged - but Edge allows login. On another computer Firefox allows login to the website. I don't understand Firefox and Windows 10 settings well enough to know where to look for a setting that may have been changed. I rebooted the computer and restarted Firefox but the problem persists. What to do?

Hello.

Firefox prevents me from opening the following URL, citing Google Safe Browsing advisory:

https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/releases

Google, however, denies having issued any recommendation to block.

I have noticed that the problem has something to do with my own profile. The problem doesn't appear under the following circumstances:

  • I start Firefox in troubleshooting mode
  • I start Firefox with a new profile

I tried manually disabling all my add-ons, but even with all of them disabled, I can still reproduce the problem.

Any idea what could be wrong with my setup?

I really try to find an answer online but looks like nobody find this to be an issue. Of course i have my password vault locked with a master password. But remembered logins on websites like Google and Facebook are secured by cookie login. Which not require my master password. So when someone use my computer unsolicited, this person gets instant access to my GMail/Facebook.

So how to protect per-logged in pages without resetting cookie data? Because i liked to benefit from instant access to al those website so i don't have to login everywhere any moment i start Firefox.

I am probably not tech savvy enough to adequately explain my problem.

My desktop has the latest version of Firefox and suddenly I can no longer log into my email from the AT&T homepage. When I attempt to log into my mail account I can select my user name and PW but when I press enter all that is displayed is a broken spinning blue circle that never stops and I cannot access my e-mail. Pretty sure there is a preference setting in privacy & security that I screwed up somehow.

Have disabled all add on's and security software but still get same result.

Is there a way to reset Firefox to the original install defaults without doing a complete Firefox removal and starting over from scratch? I have Chrome on my machine and email works fine. So am pretty sure I did something in settings that is causing my problem.

FBI's suggestion was to start with an IC3 Complaint. I forgot to tell you. They tried to erased the almost 100GB of evidence I have including the 18GB of devastating evidence against them. Well they infected 3 hardware devices I own hoping that I would insert the flash drives with the evidence in the computer and then they can wipe them clean. I lost 75GB but recovered 52GB from a back up scheme I had. Most important: Now I have them in the act of setting up their trap in my computer, plus I have 3 hardware devices infected with their code. One is a USB type A to USB type C adapter by Belkin. they know the whole thing. I spoke to their security all the way to their corporate offices. As you know they're also a defense contractor. The 2nd device is a 3.3 USB reader by SanDisk (Western Digital). I started telling them until they blocked me. So they only know their device was modify to do evil. But I didn't have time to tell them that 2 additional devices suffered the same thing. So, SanDisk thinks they are the only company. The 3rd device is from Kingston it's 3.0 USB card reader but but the time I finished with SanDisk I couldn't communicate with Kingston. Unless the security force from Belkin told them, they are unaware that their device was used for nefarious purposes by MS and GGL (But attempt to abbreviate.) Bottom line I have the dramatic footage of 18GB and 3 hardware devices. of their code. I hope these info gets to you. I have to take a tiny break. I'm sending you these so it won't disappear, And additional items in 45 minutes at the latest. As always, Thank you

CIRA Canadian Sheild

Hello, I just read an article from CIRA (Canadian Internet Registration Authority), dated July 8, 2021: https://www.cira.ca/blog/canadian-shield/mozilla-firefox-cira-can… (funda kabanzi)

Hello,

I just read an article from CIRA (Canadian Internet Registration Authority), dated July 8, 2021: https://www.cira.ca/blog/canadian-shield/mozilla-firefox-cira-canadian-shield?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=organic-email&utm_campaign=FY21&utm_content=the-dot-11

In it, they write, "Mozilla is enabling CIRA Canadian Shield as the default trusted recursive resolver (TRR) for Canadian Firefox users." I'm such a user. I also know *just* enough about the vast electronic highway system called the "Internet" to know I need safety and security measures in place.

I'm using FF 78.12 on MacOS Sierra.

I thought I'd see if CIRA Canadian Shield was the default proxy by going to Preferences > General > Network Settings. "Enable DNS over HTTPS" is selected, and the default provider is "Cloudflare." I clicked the drop down menu to see if CIRA Canadian Shield was offered as a selection. Alas, it is not. So, I selected "Custom" and typed in "CIRA Canadian Shield" (without quotation marks) and pressed "OK."

My questions are:

1) Is Mozilla enabling CIRA Canadian Shield by default as suggested in the article? 2) If so, why is it not indicated in the drop down menu? 3) Have I enabled CIRA Canadian Shield by typing it in the name as a custom proxy server?

Thank you for your help in advance. Please note, I have a rudimentary understanding of how this all works, so your simplified and somewhat non-technical answers are appreciated.

I'm on firefox 90.0.1 on Mac OSX Big Sur 11.2.3. When I try to delete a site certificate that I have (that is about to expire), it appears deleted, but when I open the certificates page again it reappears. When I restart Firefox after deletion it reappears. When I delete cert9.db from my default profile after closing firefox, and then reopen, it still reappears. When I uninstall Firefox, delete the default profile folder from App Data and the Mozilla and Firefox folders from my caches, it still reappears (I also deleted the update folder).

I am doing sync between this mac, my phone, and another computer, but I ONLY have bookmarks, Add-ons, and history. Might the sync be also syncing my certificates?

Help/tips would be appreciated.

Hello. For searching with search engine I always use an advanced search providing options (never the address bar search engine suggestion of FF). Thus the engine suggestion, located on the 1st line of the drop-down list of suggestions, is just annoying due to its uselessness and its location before my helpful bookmarks and browsing history.

It's just a detail but the clearer the visual information are (without any interference, noise), the faster the right choice is made.

I tuned FF configuration as neatly as possible about this topic but the phenomenon persists. Privacy & security -> Address bar: 'Search engines' is unchecked. Search -> Search bar: 'Search bar in tool bar' is preferred to avoid it to operate in the type field (no option for no search at all).

-> 'Provide search suggestions' is unchecked.
-> 'Search Shortcuts' are unchecked for search engines.

Please see screen shots attached.

Could FF experts provide any help ? Regards. j-p
