When I go to my bank's login site, I get a message saying that I need a newer browser. I have the latest version of Firefox, and I used to be able to log in just fine, but I recently reset my browser and I seem to have lost some settings. I have tried adding an exception for this site's cookies in Settings, and I've also tried turning off enhanced tracker, but the site still doesn't work. Is there a way to tell what is broken and then fix it? Thank you.

Hi I use my Firefox account on my personal computer and on my own computer on a server at work. Since my Firefox was updated to most recent version, I have not been able to save any passwords on Firefox on my server site. I tried adding a primary password using Firefox while on the local station, but it is not functional. Every time I open any new page to where I have an account, I have to reenter my Primary password before signing in to the site. I have since disabled this feature as it is not working for me. Firefox seems to be working fine on the local station at work and on my personal computer at home.
My Computer service tech for the server is unable to resolve this. I have also consulted a computer tech in the community who has not been able to solve it. We have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox twice. We have gone through a multitude of settings on the Firefox site. I am able to save the passwords without issue if I use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
I am looking for someone who can give me guidance on what settings I many need to change. I simply want to be able to enter my user name and password for the common sites that I use, ask Firefox to store them so I do not have to retype them every time.
Thank you, Shelley B

Hi I have been experiencing rejection of access to many legitimate Web Sites. I have attached the error I get even when trying to get to a mozilla web page. This is getting both frustrating and limiting in my desire to support, which I do, Mozilla's strategy of privacy and freedom.
I am using Fedora Linux Version 34 and Firefox Version 100.0.2 64 Bit. I did not experience these problems months ago. I have kept everything up to date as far as I can with my OS limits, if any.
I want to examine what is going on and would like to know where to look. Any help would be appreciated ... Robert

I have an odd issue with Firefox that has gone on for some time. Certain symbols don't show up correctly.
I've included an example with Google Calendar showing what I get with Firefox and the correct display using Chrome.
Is this some obscure setting that I need to fix?

Using Firefox 103.0 on a Mac running Monterey. Since updating to FF 100.0 or possibly 101.0, the BBC News website's videos won't play. I've tried turniing off all privacy/security add-ons and settings but still nothing. Just a grey rectangle with the BBC logo in it (see screenshot).
Safari can play them though. Any ideas?

Hello, when I click on link with middle mouse button it will open that link on next tab but doesn't "jump" there, which is fine. But when I do the same with pdf links, it will automaticly "jumps" on the pfd file. And I don't want to. I want to open it like normal link (on next tab in background), because I have a lot of pdf files to open, and this makes it difficult to do it qucikly. Before some weeks this wasn't a probem, it started now.

I reset my PC and reinstalled Firefox last month, but my bookmarks were never recovered after I logged in my Firefox account. A couple of months ago I installed Firefox on another PC (to which I no longer have access) and it showed all the synced bookmarks, but this time it doesn't. What should I do? Thank you

I've worked with Firefox for several years, and had it opening maximized. I recently manually resized the Firefox window to facilitate some work in which I needed some other windows visible. However, now I can't get Firefox to open maximized. Instead, it opens a window going from the left edge of my screen (see the first image below) about a third of the width of the monitor, and it is showing the double box icon in the upper right corner indicating that the computer "thinks" it is in full screen. If I click that double box, the window immediately shifts to the right edge of the screen, occupying a space about a third of the monitor from the right edge, and shows a single box in the upper right corner of the window. If I click that single box, the window finally does expand to full screen, showing a double box in the upper right corner. I've tried all the manipulations I've seen concerning starting screen size (such as going to the shortcut icon properties and indicating the that the program should start "maximized") but I'm still getting this same behavior. Any thoughts? (I'm running Windows 11, with the latest version of Firefox.)

Before I updated to FF 103.0.1, links I clicked on in e-mails in Outlook would open in an FF window using my existing default profile. Since updating to FF 103.0.1, these links open in an FF window with a virgin profile. If no such window was already open (from clicking on another e-mail link) this will be a new FF window, even if FF was already open with my normal profile. As a result, e-mail links to PDFs open the files directly in FF (instead of asking me where to download them to, as I have configured in my profile) and I am missing my stored passwords when the links lead to websites that require login.
This is a real PITA! Is there anything I can do other than revert to an earlier FF version? Please help!
I am running Windows 10 2021H2.

A few days ago, my Windows laptop was attacked by Trojan virus. Windows Defender totally disabled the laptop, and I could not even press a key. I had hard disk destroyed and the laptop, too. Because I intended to buy a Mac in a few months anyway. I attempted FF download twice, no luck. I think the M1 chip may not be silicon chip that FF supports.
Do you know a way to get my BOOKMARKS so I can export to Safari? Does FF keep them?
I have a backup of all my documents and I included bookmarks in that, on a removable hard drive USB3.0 The MAC doesn't have a slot for 3.0. Will require having to buy something from Apple to accommodate it.
Hate to do that if it's a fool's errand. I appreciate your advice. Senior citizen in over her head.

I've tried post in the thread 1287660 but it was closed. So, I opened this thread to continue about this subject and to answer the last question of the thread 1287660, at the same time. I was looking for about this subject and found the solution in the thread 1287660 - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1287660, but the link of v9.7.2 quoted there was shortened and it is not working to download the 9.7.2 Fox Reader version. I found the complete link address: http://cdn01.foxitsoftware.com/product/reader/desktop/win/9.7.2/AC910684AD18B7FBD6E086B1211F7B4B/FoxitReader972_L10N_Setup.exe
P.S.: I am newbie here and I don't know when the 1st post is the solution at the same time.

The Washington Post website now loads in its mobile (rather than desktop/Windows) configuration. This didn't happen before the update to 103.0.1; it doesn't happen on my other computer, which is still running 103; and it doesn't happen on Chrome.
Until this is fixed, I'd like to roll back to 103, but I don't see how to do that. The "Install an older version" help page ([url]https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-firefox/url) offers only v. 102, and the long list of previous versions ([url]https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases//url) stops at v. 99.
Thanks!

I'm testing FF102 for rollout in September and working through various issues. The latest one I've come across is the edit bookmark "button" on the right of the URL bar. It's a blank space on the URL bar, and when hovered over is a highlighted blank space. After clicking it twice it displays the Edit book mark menu.
How can I remove it completely? I've look at about:config and nothing stands out as obvious to me controlling this and I can't find a setting for it.
The image below shows the highlighted blank icon space.
This code in userChrome.css worked in FF91 but only hides the icon in FF102.
#star-button { display:none !important; }
Thanks

I've some search engines which was configured a lot of years ago (or maybe was imported from another browser many years ago). They are working in address bar (e.g. I can enter there "cve something", press Enter and get redirected to https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvekey.cgi?keyword=something), but not listed neither in about:preferences#search nor in my profile's search.json.mozlz4 (I've unpacked and checked it - it contents does match about:preferences#search). I've tried to grep for "cvekey.cgi" in my profile folder but get no results (I suppose these "hidden" search engines are stored in some sqlite file).
I'd like to have these hidden search engines listed in about:preferences#search. I can even manually re-add them, but how can I find complete list of all configured search engines?
