What happened, All my important bookmarks are missing. I have had to log into every account I have, No saved passwords. Really upset. I need help to restore all this information that I need

So far hate new Firefox that I have been forced to switch to - very annoying and such a waste of my time trying to sort out my bookmarks. May make me switch to Edge or something.

Followed the instructions - C:\Users\name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ - found a backup but no information as to how to get the bookmarks into the new Firefox?????

Many of us are older users and perhaps not so savvy as to how to do this.

And so it would have been nice if Firefox could have been more "nice and be specific" with this forced change over.

I've used Firefox for years. Every couple years or so, without explanation, all my bookmarks disappear. I dutifully restore them and of course the favicons are all gone. I've finally had enough. I'm moving on. The inexplicable and sudden loss of bookmarks is bad enough, having to revisit every site to restore the favicon even worse. Sick of it, done with it, can't recommend it.

Firefox was working fine yesterday morning. I went to log in last night and a new firefox background was there. NO bookmarks, NO history, No Nothing! How can I get my old information back?

after the last update all my password saved are gone i cannot access many accounts becasue i dont have the password or login i am very upset that i trusted firefox to keep my password now i am in trouble can you please help me to recover my saved password

i could n tlog in into my account becasue i forgot the password so i reset a new password hoping to see my saved password but du=idnt work

I hope you can help me. My Dell laptop crashed, I had to restart the laptop with a Microsoft recovery key. When I opened Firefox I had to log in again with my password. Firefox told me that the password was wrong, I am not sure if I typed in the Firefox recovery key as well. I changed my Firefox password. When Firefox opened my bookmarks were gone and I can not find backup file when following the Firefox 'import bookmarks' link in the bookmark bar.

I woke up this morning and opened firefox. Normally it opens the days previous tabs and this morning it didn't. When I tried 'restore recent tabs' it didn't do it. When I went into history and found the previous day's back up and tried to restore it also failed. Can you help?

My old laptop broke so I got a new one. I logged in to firefox, but had to change the password as I didnt remember it. Firefox said "the safed passwords might be lost" but I had to do it anyways.

Indeed the passwords are gone. Is there a way to get access to these passwords? I figure if I only could use my old laptop again, the passwords would still be there.

I use Venice AI for conversations. Venice AI says it stores my questions and its responses in my browser, not on their servers. I just refreshed my Firefox browser but forgot that Venice AI stores my conversations in my browser. Now my conversations are missing when I go to the Venice AI website. I have a folder on my desktop that is labeled "Old Firefox Data". Can I find my old Venice AI conversations there? If not there, where were they stored?

I normally have 4 windows open, each with multiple tabs, for 4 work streams.

Whenever Firefox or MS decides to do an update, one window sometimes, 4 rarely, none usually, are recovered after restart. How can I ensure that Firefox remembers all the windows and their tabs before shutting down? Then reinstates them after starting up. After the last MS update, the option "Recently closed windows" was greyed out. But there had been 4 of them.

Firefox's recovery after simply rebooting the computer is more, but not completely, reliable. Win11 on a desktop computer

Restarted my PC; all of my bookmarks disappeared. NOT acceptable. (Or is this just another "improvement" from Firefox . . . ?)

Where did they go; how do I retrieve them?

Really don't want to wait days until there's a response, as I DO USE MY BOOKMARKS ALL OF THE TIME.
