Can I permanently turn off InformationUpdate available' which appears each time I open Firefox. I must click Dismiss to close it. The problem is that after each update, many services to which I log every day, state that I am logging from a new device and I must complete a time consuming procedure of adding a new device in many places. And I don’t need most of the updates.

Apparently Windows 11 won't upgrade from v23H2 to 24H2 because the very nice cpu (and system) don't support SSE4.2 or PopCnt instructions. While v23H2 won't get updates after November of 2025, I tend to use operating systems WAY beyond no more updates without problems, and only upgrade when browsers no longer update and support some websites, notably banking and credit card sites, for example.

Any way to get at least a rough idea of when/how long Firefox will continue to update on Windows 11 23H2 so I can plan ahead? Usually it's a year or 2 or more after Microsoft stops updating the OS.

I've been using Firefox for a while now, and I heard there's a new update available. I'm curious about what new features or improvements have been added in this latest version. I am looking to find a way to change the time in which I receive updates from Mozilla. Getting an update interferes with the operation of my laptop and to top it off, I don't know that there is an update coming through so I waste so much time thinking I have a problem with my connection, my router, my settings, my laptop. Hugely inconvenient. Why can't I set the time I want updates to come through and not interfere with me while my laptop is in use. This is enough to make me want to drop Firefox and switch out.

I use a Powershell script to manually install a Firefox update.

Starting with version 128.10.xx and higher, Update.exe expects different parameters, but I'm not sure what the parameter names mean (see screenshot).

Can someone explain to me what I need to pass for “arg-version” and “wich-invocation”? All other parameters were already present in the previous version of Update.exe, and I understand those, but unfortunately I don't know exactly what I need to pass for these two.

Good day! Initially, I installed Firefox version (x64 ru) 147.0.3. After updating via the "Help - About Firefox - Update" menu, I received version 147.0.4. However, there are two entries about installed Firefox in the Windows section "Installed applications": 1. Mozilla Firefox (x64 ru) 147.0.3 and 2. Mozilla Firefox (x64 ru) 147.0.4. Although one instance of the program is installed. How do I remove an extra entry? Thank you.

PS: I have Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (26200.7840, 1000.26100.291.0) Russian CPU AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor RAM 32,0 ГБ System x64 Video NVidia GeForce 1650

(If any relevance, I'm on Macos 12 Monterey) 'Installation and updates' seemed the nearest topic due to the 'update' part of it, since this seems to only have been happening since this version, or I have simply not noticed due to not having needed to know. But if you look at my two screenshots, you will see the issue. There simply is no About Firefox on my firefox. Neither directly listed on the menu, nor as part of the 'help' sub menu.

Is there, for the sake of learning, a simple fix, so that I donlt have to uninstall/re-install? or an 'about config' type fix? Screenshot 1 shows the menu Screenshot 2 shows help sub-menu As you can see, absolutely no About Firefox

And, only potential issue may be, as you'll see from the share data upload is that I've a lot of tabs open, as I've got a lot to get through toniught, and tomorrow. So, maybe, t=though doubtfully, it is because it isn't handling the tabs and this caused a menu entry to be missing? Surely not likely.
