I use Kaltura to record lectures and post them to my course at the U of Utah on Canvas. This semester, Firefox will not allow me to open "my media" where the Kaltura recordings are posted on Canvas. I get the following message: It seems your browser is blocking 3rd party session cookies which are required for the Kaltura application. To resolve this issue, please update your settings to allow 3rd party cookies.

I copied the Kaltura web address 670542.kaf.kaltura.com that I can see in Chrome and pasted it into a Chrome browser and it goes to my recordings in Canvas when I use Chrome. The same site doesn't work in Firefox. How do I unblock Kaltura third party sessions? Thank you.

unable to turn off safe search when using Bing search. After clicking the more bars on the Bing search page and setting safe search to off, when checking if it is off, it has reverted to moderate. Firefox is vs 96.0.1. Setting is set to normal, not strict. Windows 10 preferences are set to safe search off. All caches have been cleared. I took off all extensions, ran malware bytes & cccleaner & anti-virus scan. I tried a refresh of Firefox. Nothing has helped.

Using Edge or Chrome browsers on the Bing search page, Safe search turns off as it should.

--There was a power failure, last night, which knocked off my computer. That may or may not be related. However, with both Edge and Chrome accessing Bing okay, it seems to definitely be a Firefox problem?

Firefox keeps resetting Bing SafeSearch back to Moderate. This change occurs with every single search and the problem has only begun since in the last week to 10 days (it is now 1/21/2022.) I have cleared all histories and cookies and even gone as far as to completely reset my computer. It happens on all my PC computers, Win 10 and Win 11. It happens with all combinations of my Firefox profiles and all of my MS accounts. It happens when I'm not signed into any Firefox profile or Bing account. It happens in normal mode as well as private mode. It happens only with Firefox. It does not happen with Edge or Chrome. This is very clearly a conflict between Firefox and Bing SafeSearch.

I have two computers, a desktop and a laptop. A few days ago FF auto updated to 96.0 on the desktop. The laptop is still at 95.0.2 (thankfully I turned auto update off on that one.)

Now iCloud 2FA does not work on the desktop with FF 96.0.0. The six digit code is correctly sent to my iPhone but on the website in the browser, the 6 character box for entry does not appear and the error message is "Failed to verify your identity. Try again." See attached screen shot.

I disabled HTTP3 but this did nothing.

Version 95.0.2 works fine and I am able to logon to iCloud on.

As you know, there is no way to rollback FF. I do not want reinstall the old version and have to create another profile and lose all my settings!

Please confirm. Now I have to use Chrome on my desktop as the work around which I really don't want to do.

Thank you, Scott Keller

If I do a Bing Image Search, disable "Safe Search" and then repeat the same search, "Safe Search" is re-enabled. The same occurs if I Refresh the page. I've tried the following to resolve it:

1) Delete all cookies and site data for Bing. 2) Disable Enhanced Tracking Protection for Bing. 3) Add exceptions for Bing to all adblocker add-ons. 4) Using Bing while logged out of my Microsoft account.

Problem begun after the update to Firefox 95 or 96.

Long time user of Firefox, and installed latest update and there is something wrong with it. Perhaps someone wrote a bad line of code? After installing the update there are at least 2 problems. One, Safesearch can no longer be turned off. Two, suggestions as you type cannot be turned off, this is extremely annoying as I do not like or use this feature. I cannot use Firefox in this crippled condition and will use another browser for my web searches which are frequent for my research and other project. This is sad as Firefox has been my primary browser almost since it's inception. I have tried to fix this on my own and have only been frustrated and wasted a good bit of time.

When I would go into Bing, I would go into settings and change from "Moderate" to "Strict"; I would also uncheck "Search Suggestions" so suggestions don't fill in as I type. Then I would click "Save". Until recently, these settings held with no problem. Now after I click "Save" and go back to the main screen in Bing (or come back to Bing after being somewhere else), I'm back to "Moderate" and suggestions fill in as I type. Microsoft claims this is Firefox's issue and needs to be fixed at Firefox's end. Others are posting on Microsoft's answers forums, some also using Firefox, but not all. I love Firefox and I'm not changing to something else, so can you tell me how this Bing issue might be fixed? Thank you.

All of a sudden I can no longer access a website that I have visited a million times before. I get an error message stating...

The page isn’t redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I have cleared cookies/cache and all that achieves is that I can get to the website's log in page but then straight back to the same error message. I'm so frustrated as this is a website I need to access for my work.

I can get to it no problem on my phone so it appears to be a Firefox issue. I don't want to use another browser as I get on well with firefox but I fear I may have to as this is too important a website to be without.

Any help would be appreciated - thank you, Nat

Okay, so...hopefully somebody here can help me from going, "Mhhmmm! Grrrrrrr!" every time I wanna search something.

    So here's what's up...

I go to my home page, bing.com. I type in a search, and because it pertains to the issue at hand, lets suppose the search was adult oriented, or something that would make you want to change the search safety settings from its default of 'Moderate' to 'Off', as you want it to be. Cool. Great. Sweet, its off, now I can continue.....Buuuuut, no! Nope. See,...{sigh}.....okay, so lets back up a few steps and right now we're at the moment when we had switched 'Moderate' to 'Off'. Okay! So,....now lets say that you want to filter down your search results. So, we navigate over to the right-hand side of the page, we click 'Filter', we select our filter, the pag loads, annnnnd AHHHHHH DAMMIT TO HELL!! It's back set to 'Moderate'. And it will continue to do this when for whatever reason the page needs to reload. Its driving me.......{sigh & steps back}....Ooohh, okay, well.....suffice to say, the issue needs resolving. Like,....NOW! Please.  :-D It almost slipped my mind, but, for the sake of knowing what kind of suggestions you may give,.... Let me just throw out there that I am no 'computer noob'. The last time I went to buy a new desktop computer, I wasn't a member of Camp Cow! What I'm tryin' to say is, I'm no programmer, but I'm quite 'puter knowledgeable. I remember as a kid, getting bored and walking into the den where my dad (former IBM guy) was sitting there, mumbling outloud to himself, "...Wha...? Whaddaya mean, 'Bad command or file name? ...Doesn't make any sense...". I sat down to watch him try & fix the computer, I told 'em I was bored, he said, "Bored, huh? Yeah,....that'll happen sometimes." Gets up from his chair, plants his hand on the backrest, stands up and does this sorta,...two and a half step, 'walk' across the room to the closet, which is like, two feet from me.... Still with his one hand on the chair's back rest, with the other, he reaches up into the closet to the little book shelf in there, grabs a book I've seen him use a number of times before, takes it down, half pulls * half 'back steps' back into his chair, playfully flings his book holding hand toward me. It lands in my lap with a sh-mack! of my pants, and my dad being completely serious, he's not joking in the least says to me, "Here. Read this. It's good to know." The infamous book? The user's manual for MS-DOS 5. ...Hmm,...it might of been 6.2. My dad was teaching me DOS commands when I was 8. Heh!.... I'm sorry, that went a bit longer than I had imagined. Well, I guess I'll chalk it up to, 'Taking the opportunity to tell a 'I remember when' story about my dad. He died last year. November 8th. He was 86. Best dad you could ever know.

Hey thank you in advance, if you're able to help. Thanks & take care!

Hello,

The latest upgrade from firefox this week (96) has prevented us from logging into our local credit union account. We had to downgrade to 95.0.2 to regain access. How can you fix this and will it be resolved in a following update. Is there a setting that can be changed that is preventing login?

My banking site, leominstercu.com, allows on-line transfers to and from other banks. This function broke when you pushed down the v96.0 update. The site throws the following error:

"External Transfer

Screen JPG attached. After wasting 20 minutes fiddling with cookie settings, I still can't get things to work.

Prior to the update, it worked fine.

I'll be using Chrome until this gets fixed.
