Tonight I received a notice that a new version of Firefox was available and asking if I wanted to download it. It showed me the new Kit mascot so I decided to let it install. It seemed to install normally but when it tried to open what I guess is a welcome/new features page, it crashes, and just showed a prompt to try again. This continued in an endless loop and I had to shut it down. Unfortunately I no longer had a functioning version available that I could find so I downoaded the ESR version to be safe (ver 140.5.0esr) which I am now using. Somehow I was able to recover bookmarks and hopefully other saved info. Can anyone advise what has happened? I have used Firefox for many years and never had this sort of problem before. Running Windows 11 on a new Dell i7 PC.

Firefox comes up in a large window, covering most of my screen. I can resize the browser window just fine, as expected. However when I close the program, then open it later, the browser window is not the size and position it was in when I stopped the program last, it comes up with a large window again.

I am using in css:

  • {
   font-weight: bold !important;

}

html * {

   font-weight: bold !important;

}

Those two make almost everything bold in firefox itself besides pinned shortcuts and ddg search tab text have bold font. I use the first one on stylus to make every site font weight bold and it works.

Can someone help me make Pinned Shortcuts and Search Tab in the middle have bold font, i have tried everything I could but I cannot make those texts in bold font

For the past few months, when I close my MacBook Air, for no particular amount of time, can be short or long, upon reopening and unlocking, I frequently find the Firefox tab bar has gone grey and Firefox is unresponsive. I quit Firefox and start it again immediately and it returns to normal operation and runs fine until I close my MacBook again. Firefox 145.0 (aarch64) with MacOS 15.6.1 (24G90) running on a MacBook Air M1 2020. Currently 33 tabs open across 3 windows. Performance is usually acceptable. Sometimes Gmail slows down, but I reload the tab, then it's OK.

The bar across the top (has "View recent browsing across Windows and devices" at the left end) has far too many remembered tabs. It's only happening on this platform (my wife's) and not on mine. Both running Windows 10, although I'm switching us both to newer platforms because of Windows 11.

There must be some way to turn off that bar in this platform, but I can't understand all the Firefox on-line help documents, because there's no place where there is a diagram indicating what that bar is called.

I believe I had all this synced in Firefox Settings before I made the upgrade. Like all you fellow former users of Windows 10, I had to upgrade to Windows 11; and did so two days ago. Now, I found that I do not have under History any of the former sites I not only visited but also had tabs open. What can I do, if anything, to recover them? Under the Add-ons Manager, if this helps, I already had the app Tab Session Manager, but don't know how to use it. Thanks to all in advance who may have made this same upgrade. Many out there are still on Windows 10.

I have an Investors.com account and a feature they offer is a stock sector data table that shows recent performance and other information. When I try to open these tables they close immediately, but if I use my tablet with a different browser they will remain open. I believe this is a simple setting that I need to adjust, but I don't know enough to figure it out.

So within the last couple of days Firefox has started toggling the menu bar even though I have it disabled/hidden. If I were to click off of the browser to check Discord for example, it pops up when I click back on and literally moves stuff down--which makes it annoying if I try to click back on to enter a web address.

Anyone else having this problem?
