Hello, I’ve been increasingly frustrated over the past few weeks with your browser, which I prefer over all the others, because it keeps crashing constantly. I’ve tried several small fixes suggested by IT professionals, such as clearing the cache, running an antivirus scan, and deleting my browsing history, but the issue persists with no improvement. At this point, my last option seems to be uninstalling and reinstalling the application, but I’m concerned about losing my bookmarks. Could you please advise me on how to resolve this issue? M. I'm a decades long time Firefox user, and I always keep Firefox updated automatically to whatever is the current version. I've never had any substantial issues with Firefox in the past, but recently I've encountered some rather drastic issues.

Background: I'm ex-IT, so I tend to be ultra-conscientious about security and performance updates all across my system. I'm also highly alert for any signs that my system or apps might be compromised in any way.

Recently, I started noticing that I was unable to scroll with my keypad or keyboard on certain sub-windows and certain pop-ups in some web sites (not all). I could scroll these sub-windows/pop-ups only by touch screen, and until today that has always worked. I've been using this workaround, because I haven't had time to really look into the issue. Most sites worked fine, but many would not.

Today, however, I logged into what I know to be a legitimate web site, https://blueshieldca.com, for some important information, but this time I found I was unable to scroll ANYthing on the site using my keypad, keyboard, or touch screen. I could change pages through the on-site menus, but couldn't navigate further at all on any page. I can see that there is more information cut off at the bottom of the page, but I simply can't scroll the page to view it. I almost never use MS Edge browser, but I tried it today, and I'm not having the same problem using Edge.

I'm also having a slightly different, but similar (related?), Firefox issue with the typical cookie-settings-preferences prompts that appear initially on most web sites. Any time I try to arrow over the cookie prompts, they immediately disappear. I'm completely unable to accept, change, or set cookie preferences on any sites.

I've reviewed all my settings in Firefox and all the add-ons I use. In Firefox itself, I run the following extensions: Brave (default search), DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, Ghostery Private Search for Firefox, Malwarebytes Browser Guard, Privacy Badger, and Express VPN (disabled) - I do not run any browser-specific VPN, but I always use Nord VPN on my system. The configuration options are overwhelming, and in spite of investigating every avenue I can think of, I haven't been able to find either a cause or a fix. I'm sure hoping you guys can help me figure this out!

My system is Windows 11 Home (25H2), 64-Bit, on a DELL XPS 13, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD drive (1/3 free), about 3 years old. In addition to the browser-specific security software mentioned above, I run Bitdefender Security. I haven't made any changes or specific updates to any apps that I can link to the inception of this problem.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

No matter what I try to read or go to, Firefox crashes repeatedly. I literally cannot use it at all. I keep getting: Gah. Your tab just crashed. We can help! Choose Restore This Tab or Restore All Crashed Tabs to reload the page/pages.

Clicking those options fixes nothing! How do I go back to the previous version, please?

I just installed the new built-in VPN - and it appears to show as running in my Mozilla Accounts page (???).

HOWEVER, that is the only place I see it!!

No icon/display panel anywhere (not showing in Customization of toolbar option either) to see usage, turn on/off, etc.??

Suddenly no audio when using Firefox. Only setting I can find says audio is allowed from all websites. There are no websites listed on that settings page. Audio works fine using other browsers. Any thoughts?

Hello! I've always used Firefox as my default browser. Now, with Windows 11 Pro, I can't get it to stay as the default. I restart my computer, and Edge reappears. I've tried adjusting registry, gpedit, Taskschd, etc., and Edge remains the default, even for PDFs! Is there any way to change Edge?.. I don't know what else to do to set Firefox and Acrobat PDF as the default. Microsoft is forcing Edge as the default. Thank you!

Over the past few weeks, my typing is continually being interrupted. It did this a few years back, but this is getting very annoying and I am soon to switch browsers if not fixed. BTW on any machine using Firefox, this is happening

I use multiple Firefox profiles and create separate desktop shortcuts for each profile using Firefox’s built-in profile shortcut option. I then pin each profile shortcut to the Windows taskbar so I can launch them independently.

The issue is that when I click one of the pinned profile icons, Firefox opens a new separate taskbar group/icon instead of attaching the window to the already pinned taskbar item for that specific profile.

For example:

• I pin Profile A and Profile B separately to the taskbar.
• When Profile A is already open and I click its pinned icon again, Windows creates another Firefox taskbar button/group instead of reusing the existing pinned Profile A button.
• Google Chrome profiles do not behave this way on Windows — each profile stays grouped with its own pinned taskbar icon as expected.

Is this a known limitation/bug with Firefox profiles on Windows taskbar integration, or is there a way to make Firefox profile shortcuts behave like Chrome profile shortcuts?

Unable to play a video on Hulu with my own Hulu account, which I have had no issues in the past doing, even with all my ad blockers and trackers enabled (Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin, AdBlocker Ultimate, Ghostery, and Malwarebytes). I have tried disabling all of the above extensions, refreshing the website and still no luck. My internet speed is fine, I checked it through 3 different internet speed testers to verify Also checked my Wifi signal through our Google Home portal. I've searched online for solutions and haven't found anything new to help or in the Mozilla Support forum. My computer/laptop is up to date on all updates and software. Appreciate any support, thank you!

why do videos opened in new tabs have an audio delay before the sound comes on? this is a recent phenomenon. So, when I right click a video and click 'open in new tab' when the video starts the audio is delayed 2 to 3 seconds. normally there is no audio lag. this has been happening for perhaps two weeks now. is it related to a setting? I recently adjusted the security and privacy settings.

When I am using the Private Browsing feature of Firefox, and I search for something like a restaurant menu from Google, the browser is able to receive my location data and use it for the search query before Firefox shows the pop-up asking if Google can receive my location data. I'll note that I don't include my location in my initial query, just something like "[restaurant name] menu." I'm not sure if this is an issue with Firefox or whether Google itself is having this issue, but I'd like to avoid having my location data automatically given before I get the chance to object to it. My main two questions are:

• Why does this happen?
• Is there anything I can do on my end to prevent it?

I can't log into chase.com from Firefox, which I've been doing for years. I get an outage message. But down detector shows nothing. It went on for days so I tried Microsoft Edge with Bing and it works. Is there some Firefox setting I need to change?
