Restart to update Firefox

Recently clicked to update to the next version of Firefox. Then I get the message "Restart to Update Firefox." I restart Firefox but the message is still there when I cli… (funda kabanzi)

Recently clicked to update to the next version of Firefox. Then I get the message "Restart to Update Firefox." I restart Firefox but the message is still there when I click Help > About Firefox. It would appear that the update did not happen for some reason. Do I need to re-install Firefox to get around this problem?

Installing a new version of Firefox as a new install rather than upgrading my existing version.

I update my browser often but still seem to get tons of update alerts. Do you update that often? I wonder if these alerts are a scam so when i get them I go to the Mozilla site and download the latest version. Why don't you just have an "update" button or something is it really necessary to download the whole thing every, what seems like, week?

I recently was able to successfully install Firefox on my Chromebook via Linux following instructions on the site. I have received notifications about an update from March 14th and I do not know how I can install this update. Can you please walk me through the steps required. It does not seem to install automatically and now my extensions don't appear to be working anymore. Thank you.

Hi there, I'm trying to make a little old machine useful it is an HP mini (Laptop) with an Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N455 @ 1.66GHz and 2GB of RAM; it appears the firefox version is too old to install some extensions/add-on like uBlock... Cannot turn off update nagging

I update software on a regular schedule, and would prefer to not have Firefox (136.0) nag every few minutes that I'm not on the latest and greatest. 120.0.1 only nags a l… (funda kabanzi)

I update software on a regular schedule, and would prefer to not have Firefox (136.0) nag every few minutes that I'm not on the latest and greatest. 120.0.1 only nags a little. How can I turn the nagging totally off?

I added the following to `~/firefox/distribution/policies.json`, but it didn't help.
