today after 10 years my firefox browser has suddenly refused to load newsmax.com because 'secure connection failed'

my viasat browser continues to load newsmax.com normally without any problems on the same computer using win7 and kaspersky

why is firefox doing this and is there a correction?

sins today firefox doesn not diplay most of the websites (some are ok most are not ok) on my mac OS 14.4

I include a firefox display of hermes and how it should be in chrome or safari

Web pages dont look norma, they look more like an FTO download page. This is an all of a sudden issue. Another notebook, mfg, os, browser all the same, so issue is here on this notebook. Everything displayed fine, last nite, today on start up the issue started. This would include sites like ebay,paypal, youtube,, etc. Going to the browser address, pasting it into Google cheome browser, the sites display properly. This is why I keep a second vrowser. Tried the normal cleaning, cache, ccleaner+bleach it+firefox clear data, same bad display. I have grup speed dial extension, with numerous links. I would not be pleased to lose and have to rebuild them if an uninstal/ewinstall is an answer. This is an win7pro os. The image is ow pages load, this is ebay. Suggestions?

I need to download Websites automatically via Batch exaktly like the Browser would save them via Strg+S.

I used curl to do that and it worked fine for many years but now the Source-Website has changed and so curl is no longer able to get the content. The problem is that the URL / Website that the Browser downloads does not contain the information. This is loaded later by a java script.

So when I open the URL in the Browser and look at the Source-Code I can see something like

 <script src="/example.js"></script>

When I press Strg+S to save the website the whole site is saved, because the java script was executed by the Browser. Curl does not process java so it saves only the source code with the "<script src="/example.js"></script>"

Question is: How can I download the URL directly with the Java Script executed so that the informaion is included too ?

I hope anybody can answer that.

I have firefox 115.13 and it freezes intermittently for about 15 seconds. It didn't do this before 115.13. I'd like to revert to 115.12 and keep it there. How can I do this?

The Settings Selection "Always ask me where to save [downloaded] files." has no effect. FF will automatically save the file into whatever folder I selected. (As it happens, that is \MyReceivedFiles.) This means I have to download again to the correct directory/folder and give it a new name. Because there is no "Save As" option. I do not have this problem in Edge browser. This exact same problem was posted at "Downloads default to download folder and never ask where to save them. " https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1412632 But it was archived without being solved. Please solve the problem. P.S. SUPPORT FORUMS: STOP ARCHIVING THREADS OR CLOSING THEM. Hello: Q1- I moved Thunderbird from my C drive to my D drive but...C drive still contains active content Thunderbird uses. I'm not sure about when I backup my profile folder, all the data is really being backed up? eg. C:\Users\mdc\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\cy4sug48.default-release

      F:\Users\mdc\ProgramData\Thunderbird\Profiles\cy4sug48.default

I also changed all my Thunderbird registry entries to D drive. I don't understand why C drive is still active?

Q2- When I choose Import from a Thunderbird profile this comes up (see attached picture)? This directory does not exist! Where is it coming from?

I still have a computer with Windows 7 and I still love using it despite that the world wants me to give it up and upgrade, which I have with several other computers I own, but I enjoy my uncluttered and non-super-spyware-laden Win7 system, but I get the feeling that Firefox is purposely trying to upend a smooth browsing experience for those of us who are stubborn and unwilling to part with our old systems, and yes, I am a VERY suspicious person. They are doing this in Win 7 [and not on any other system I own of higher OS] by having FF constantly writing huge amounts of nothing to my disk, taking no less than a minute each time. What does this do ? It causes STALLING of any and all functions until some internal clock decides to stop and release the system from this turmoil. FF is hoping the user will get so frustrated that they will give up on Win7 and go to the hyper-surveillant Win11, but some of us are infinitely patient and will wait for the day when FF says "You can no longer browse the internet with this version of Firefox," and I know that day will arrive. Thanks, Soros. So my question is, if there's even an answer ; is there anything I can do besides all the usual page long crap of suggestions about computer maintenance, all of which are trite and redundant, so that I do not have to put up with this constant stalling via overwriting to disk ? Even Norton shows logs of FF excessive writing to disk and lists it in the Norton history. None of this EVER happened until the notice arrived, what, a year ago or so, that M$ and FF were no longer supporting Win7. How coincidental that I should now have to endure some kind of psychological torment for not allowing my entire computer experience to be surveilled by the DEMONS THAT BE. Thank you, and if you find my rhetoric too inflammatory, then just forget it, but understand how sick to death of you meatheads I am.
