Apparently, for some time now the updates versions of Firefox (currently 124.02) has many incompatibilities with macOS Sonoma 14.4.1. Thinking I could fix it, I re-installed Firefox and currently I no longer have access to any of my favorite sites and mailboxes, all my pass-words are refused.

Hello, I would like to know if there's a way to show all comments on a PDF grouped together on a sidebar, like on adobe viewer or wps... its really the only thing keeping me from using it all the time!

On the start page.. It would be nice if you could change the background! Couldn't you fix it? Where you can have a number of different images, which you can change to. Such as nature pictures etc. And then, if you want to add your own background. Your browser would have become so much nicer then. :)

I have a YouTube loading problem, it works on all other browsers except Firefox. When you go to the YouTube homepage, the whole screen is blank with black and grey colours, on the homepage no video loads, no words on the screen, no ads, just blank. it works like normal on Chrome,Opera,Internet Explorer.

I am on windows 8, all blockers are off, on the latest version 115.9.1. no other problems on my PC.

I am trying to edit /etc/hosts file. CLI utils respect the values that provided there, Chrome also.

But the Firefox continues to ignore. I have disabled "Enable DNS over HTTPS using:" and turned it off.

But it doesn't help. What else could be done?

I discovered two issues with Firefox on my Wayland Gnome. Picture-in-picture windows should be opened with the "always on top" attribute, but in Wayland they are not on top. It's not a big deal to manually set always-on-top. Although I need to remember to do this after the window appears. The second problem is related to selecting multiple tabs. I should be able to detach selected tabs from the window by dragging them from the tab bar. A new window is then created with the selected tabs. This doesn't work in my Wayland. I can detach one tab, but not multiple tabs at once. I can still move multiple tabs from one window to another open window. So, as a workaround, on Wayland I need to open a new window and then move the selected tabs there. Which is inconvenient. I am curious if anyone else noticed these things on Wayland. There might be something wrong with my instance of Wayland.

Help me get my right panel, that dissapeard back to right side where it belongs. It Disappeared!!!!!!!!!!!! My screen is filled them links!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm 77 years old and have liked and used firefox for as far back as I can remember. I've read many posts that have said they have the same problem!!!!!!!! I really like Firefox and don't want to switch to another browser, but looks like me and many other dissatisfied customers to do also.

When I was troubleshooting another issue in Firefox I came to realize that there are two profiles that are created by default in Firefox 124.0.2. I realized this when I opened the Firefox profile manager by running the command firefox.exe -P. The 2 profiles that were already created are

1. default-release
2. default

Please see the attached screenshot for more details.

Is this the expected behavior for Firefox, i.e. by design/default, it will create two profiles? And why is it so, i.e. Why create two profiles? What is the difference between these two profiles?

Is this the only way to send thunderbird an email??? If it is that's OK. I am a fairly new customer of Thunderbird. I have a new laptop and want to find out if Thunderbird has any questions forb me to answer. I think my password is OK, cause I signed in somehow. When I type my last name using shift + first letter, it always comes out in lower case, which wastes my time correcting. How do I set it back to using upper case with shift +?

As of a couple of weeks ago, or so, Firefox will not display a preview of an XLSX file. Is this due to a recent update?

Almost every week I get Firefox "browser.startup.couldRestoreSession.count" set to "2" (Firefox keeps restoring tabs and windows an indefinite number of times after a crash in this case). I reset it to default, and then the situation repeats.

It has been so for at least a year.

Please let me know if there is a program or Firefox extension responsible for this annoying behavior.

Since a few days, even though I have eliminated the accesses in new tab with ignore, when I start Firefox again they are back on the new tab page.

How do I proceed to eliminate them?

I cannot find an option in the settings to completely turn off translations. I vastly prefer English, Dutch, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese websites in their original language simply because I can read them and translated versions always have issues. But now firefox (I am on version 119, windows) continues checking (and asking for each language) wether I want something translated. How can I turn translations off completely?

Every time I sign into a site, Firefox asks me if it should save my password. I say: Yes. It replies: Password Saved. But it has not stored any of my passwords for over one year now. What is the problem? I have to insert my passwords myself.

My bookmarks and most history no longer accessable. They may be gone. I need to know where they are stored so I can make sure they are gone. If they are gone I have other machines which do have bookmarks. I think there is a way to copy the bookmarks from one system to another. Hopefully that information is in the main default-release and I can move a copy to the lacking bookmarks closer to the machine with no bookmarks and import what I need?
