I've been wanting to write for years about all the almost daily updates of FIREFOX that cannot be necessary! If I do not see a decline in the updates within a short period, I will remove FIREFOX from all my devices and use only CHROME. It is getting more and more frequent that I must use Chrome anyway or not be able to access the intended website.

Also, you removed the Gmail option from your home page and I must jump through hoops to get to gmail. If I check gmail 5 times a day, I must go through 6-7 steps to log in each time and it get very tedious. With Chrome, I click gmail and voila, I'm there. No signing in, password, and captcha.

FIREFOX is beginning to be too much of a burden. Either stop your obtrusive updates. give me an easy sign with Gmail, and make Firefox a browser with which I access ALL sites or I will just stop using FF altogether.

p.s. I am not alone. Many, many friends and family have already cut the cords with FF and I'm next. (not that you care, I'm sure)

Take a look at the screenshots. The second device is called "Firefox on HUAWEI LIO-L29", but I renamed it to "Mate 30 Pro" (screenshot 2).

Why is the device name displayed not "Mate 30 Pro", as in the case of "Macbook D14"? I renamed the device in Firefox settings a few days ago.

Hello and thank you. Using BT Webmail on Firefox, I find that replying to a message won't allow me to 'new line' after a few words. Also, if I continue a line of text to the 'end' of the message window, the text does not wrap around to a new line. Also, If I 'click' the cursor directly under the first line of text, I cannot type any text; the cursor doesn't move. If I then 'new line' again, the cursor disappears. I can only continue writing text by 'clicking' the cursor about 3 lines down, typing, then back spacing that text. Everthing works perfectly with other browsers; it would be a shame to give up on Firefox.

Sometimes, after the last major Firefox upgrade, upon clicking on a link on webpages, immediately, the link moves to another location on the webpage without opening the link. I then have to move my mouse to "chase" the link and then when clicked on again, it does not move and the link opens.

I would like to have this issue fixed.

About a week ago, I downloaded Firefox for the first time in order to switch from Chrome.

At first, it looked like it would be easy, since it offered me the option of importing all my data from Chrome, but after going through the process it recommended, nothing seemed to happen. I went through this process several times to no avail (yes, even after rebooting my computer). Eventually, I had to export my bookmarks from Chrome as an html file and then open the file in Firefox, which worked well enough in the moment.

Now I have rather tragically and belated realized that Firefox is not saving any of my passwords either. It will act like it is, with that little pop-up asking me if I'd like it to remember for me, and in settings, it says that I have autofill turned on. But when I go looking for passwords in the settings, there are no logins found, and if I logout of an account and try to log back in, it doesn't autofill.

When I go to settings and ask it to synchronise logins and passwords, I can click the box and it will give me a blue checkmark. I can then hit "synchronize now" once and the logins and passwords icon will appear in the "you are currently synchronizing" box, but if I hit sync again, the icon disappears and I have to recheck the box. Either way, nothing else seems to change.

Then I tried to pair Firefox to my phone using firefox.com/pair, but as soon as the page loads (and before attempting to pair), I get a "pairing unsuccessful. Try again." message. Nothing happens if I click the refresh button. It does not refresh.

All these problems seem vaguely related, but other than that, I'm completely mystified.

Someone please help, for I am a weak-willed consumer who does not consider fighting with my own computer a hobby. I just want this to work, or else I'll have to abandon it and run back into the all-knowing embrace of Google.

I have a Macbook Air running 11.3.1

I have a few plug-ins installed, but these problems started as soon as I downloaded Firefox and before I installed them, so I doubt it's them

On bootup yesterday, Firefox was a whole new animal?! 1) I had 12 or more pinned tabs which are now all not displayed/missing! 2) Had three rows thumbnail bookmarks displayed when Firefox opened which are not displayed/gone now! 3) Firefox would give a popup message that "Gah...tab (whatever), Reopen tab or Restart Firefox". This would typically occur late afternoon (FWIW, Eastern Standard Time). Only way to get Firefox to stay open was to reboot the system.

Not sure what has changed but would like to get back to where I was a week or so ago with Firefox. Please advise.

Hey, Linked-In is illegible in Firefox. The text in the profiles and messages is in a white font on a white background. (I asked support from Linked-In, but they said it had something to do with Firefox.) It seems to be specific for the combination Firefox-Linked-In: I don't have this problem in other browsers, and I don't have it with other websites in Firefox. Can I change something in the settings to change the font colour and make the text visible? Best regards, Liesbeth

Hi, as of a couple months ago, Firefox has started asking for the primary password multiple times. It used to only do it once when it syncs after startup. But now I sometimes get the popup for the primary password multiple times. I haven't figured out a way to reproduce since it seems to randomly pop up, even when I'm not actively doing something in the browser. I believe this started happening after an update but I can't pin down the actual onset of this problem so I'm not sure. Does anyone else experience the same thing?

Two weeks ago my browser updated itself to version 90. Before that everything was OK.

After that..... Firts of all in Google Chrome everything works just fine. In Firefox - most of the time after a google search if I click on one of the results nothing happens. If I open it in a new tab or window, I got a blank page. - I cannot log into my gmail account. I can get to the page where I can type in my account name, but then I get an error message before the web page'd ask for my psw. - youtube does not load properly. If then I click on the youtube icon on the top left corner then it tries to load the page again, and after some time it says I have no internet connection. - google translate service does not answer, - reCAPTCHAs don't work. The browser could not load them, or if it loads something then it won't work. Etc.

Again: everyhing was OK before the version 90 update. I was on a 2 weeks vacation, just got back, but all the same, they don't work.

I tried everything - cleared the history, cache, etc., - checking the firewall, - proxy (I don't use any proxy), - ipv6 - made a new profile - troubleshooting mode (disabeling addons and themes), everything. Nothing helped.

I use Win10. Have an other Win10 PC, on that before the version 90 update I checked the problems above, and neither of them affected the system, and as the update taked place I got the same propblems there too. My firefox profile is synched onto that PC.

After 20+ years of using firefox this is my last try before switching to chrome.

The firefox account icon is missing from the firefox toolbar. While customizing the toolbar, the firefox account icon was dragged out of the firefox window instead of back into the extra toolbar icon area that pops up when customizing the toolbar. This seems to have killed the firefox account icon. I have tried reinstalling firefox, even deleting all the the firefox and mozilla settings but the firefox account icon does not come back.

On other machines (mostly VMs) the firefox account icon shows right up when using the firefox sync feature to configure firefox on a new installation.

Can I get the firefox account icon back somehow?

Greetings,

There is a webpage about gmail account recovery in the uk that keeps showing up pin my browser when I go to type in something for google. This says has a red slash through the little lock. I have deleted history, reinstalled Firefox, cleared cache, but this site keeps appearing. It doesn't seem to show up in bookmarks. If the site loads, it doesn't have a little blue star next to the site address! I tried to block the site, but Firefox only has an addon to block the site.

Any ideas how to get rid of this website info?

I read someone's post suggesting there is a cache somewhere, but I'm not sure where to delete that info.

Please and Thank you. :)

/Saturn

Hi. When Firefox added the screenshot functionality, it was very useful to me since i didn't have to open snip & sketch every-time I want to take a screenshot. I did notice that the ability to access the screenshot from the address bar was removed and moved to the mouse's right click options instead. I work with Microsoft azure and have to create documents for clients and by default, right clicking doesn't work on azure and some other sites. Because of this, i can't take screenshots using Firefox. Is there a way to put the screenshot option back to the address bar or maybe have it show up in the toolbar options? Thanks.

Hi I have been an avid firefox user for decades, but now I look at the chromium edge from Microsoft and am tempted to ditch firefox althogether. It is so fast in opening the first window to the loading of webpages its instant. I am on cloudflare dns and that is the fastest around. Then when I check Edge or normal Google's Chrome version and compare it to Firefox I see a day and night difference on the rendering engine. I run on an 8700K PC but boy is it faster on edge chromium. The only reason I haven't switched is the interface is larger compared to firefox, on edge browsing bookmarks is difficult as I have to scroll a lot before I get to what I wan't but on firefox it is much slimmer so I don't have to scroll the fat bookmarks dropdown menu like in edge. But That is the only thing that is holding me back. Could you guys please not reinvent the wheel diverging to think what more a browser must do to what can a browser do well that it already does and just get Firefox to loading websites faster, your Geko engine is beaten dead by Chrome's engine. They are ridiculously faster in perceptualy seeing that webpages drop on your screen in seconds and dns resolution does not take such back and forth. The whole page just drops when firefox pieces all of the webpage as you sit and look at it to render. Could it not just appear instantly and start clicking on links to further browse on. Leave everything you are doing and just make it render faster than chromium and you would have your userbase back. Privacy is great I do like the new bells and whistles protecting me. On desktops at least could you not unleash the full multicore capability of process crunching to get the webpages to load. I am on an 110 Mbps Download, 10Mbps Upload, 7ms Ping connection and then there is cloudflare. Tried different DNS providers like quad dns, cleanbrowsing, opendns etc but on edge and chrome still faster. Tried fiddling with network trr mode and dns doh on firefox settings, tried various troubleshooting methods but still firefox takes time to resolve dns from initial press of the link to rendering the webpage via gpu or even disabling web gfx. I don't have time to type all of what I have tried here it will become a bible. So just saying under the hood do something so that Firefox renders and loads webpages fast, this is the basic principle of a web browser to browse the web without hinderance or annoyance. Oh and also I am running my Windows 10 OS on Intel Optane 900P so that isn't a bottleneck at all. Thas pure Optane drive no cache or QLC attached drivel. Yes I know all about addons disabling and firefox refresh and startup cache reset and all the other shenanigans. I am not a noob, tried about:config improvements as well. So no Firefox does not by any measure come close to loading webpages as fast as chrome does.
