If you close a tab that is next to one or more unloaded tabs, firefox jumps those and opens the next one that is loaded. Is there a way to disable this so upon closing it would open the right tab, whether loaded or not. I tried "Select After Closing" add-on, didn't fix it. Disabled Auto Unloading via about:config, same result.

Ive tried reinstalling firefox because i am not able to download anything with this browser. I thought freshly installing firefox would fix the issue and allow me to download but it didnt. I also am tried to download an addon/extension, and that automatically fails to download. How can i fix this?

On a laptop running Windows 11, all videos I play in Firefox have been strangely dark and orange. Depending on their original appearance, this can make them unwatchable.

This only affects videos in Firefox, and only on this laptop. Chrome, Windows video player (and Firefox on my other devices) do not share this issue. The issue affects all monitors I connect the laptop to.

I have attempted: -A thorough search of Firefox settings and found nothing related. -Refresh and reinstall of Firefox -in about:config

   gfx.color_management.native_srgb to true
   Confirmed ui.videoDynamicRange was set to to 0

None of these has helped. According to all the evidence I can find online, a similar issue was caused by a problem with HDR video files and fixed in an update 2 years ago, but I am running version 127.0 and am up to date.

I'm a web developer working for the public radio show This American Life. We have a web audio player on the website and recently I noticed it stopped working in Firefox. Looking closer at the issue, I realized that Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking one of the scripts (pdst.fm - Spotify). Because ETP is turned on by default, I'm hoping there's a way to help bring this part of the site back to functioning without bypassing the Spotify script, as currently that's out of my power. Any help would be appreciated.

When you go into 'Manage Bookmarks' and click on 'Import/Backup Bookmarks' is there a way to clear out the list of files listed when you hover over 'Restore ->' which brings up the list of recent bookmark files that you have restored?

as you can see in the screenshot it says the mic is only"allowed temporarily" and when i go to permissions it doesn't let me add a site to grant perms i can just search for sites and thats it. its annoying cuz on textnow i have to keep granting perms

I was able to open all attachment that came with my Yahoo mail. Since this morning I can not open any attachments-word, excel or PDF What happened? How do I go back to be able to open all attachments

The website mylotto.co.nz has been blocking Firefox for many months now and when I rang them to find out what the problem is they just say they are having problems but it was obvious that the person there was reading a script and fobbing me off. This has been going for many months now a problem would have been fixed by now. I would like to know if you can bring pressure to bear on them to get reinstated again. My computer was on during the week-end and when I came back home I noticed we had a couple of power outages. Computer restarted automatically (Win 10 22h2) and when I launched Firefox, it started as brand new with all my addons gone and none of the previous session restored (I had 4 Firefox browsers opened with each 20+ tabs opened).

I have tried looking at C:\Users\MYUSER\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles but found nothing of interest. Where is everything and how can I restore everything I had ?

I even tried Troubleshooting mode and downgrading to a former version of Firefox (126.0.1 64 bits).

I've seen a few submissions describing the same or similar issues, but is there a consistent, effective way of changing the time zone in Firefox? It keeps defaulting to the wrong time zone (despite everything else on my system displaying the correct time zone) and has been doing so for weeks. Solutions appreciated!

I started having new tab crashes a couple of weeks ago on Firefox and Brave browsers. I have looked in the extensions settings and do not have any added extensions so that did not cause the problem. I also run Norton antivirus and Norton Ultimate utilities software and regularly clean out files and scan my computer for malware. Not sure if Ultimate Utilities is the problem since I have had other problems in the past with that program. Also, I wonder if Windows updates caused this problem? This has also caused problems in the past. To get around this problem I have to copy the link then right click on my mouse and open a new window the paste the link. Very annoying and time consuming. How do I fix the continual tabs crashing problem?

I have previously exported my bookmarks in an HTML file. When reinstalling Firefox, I tried to import them using the HTML backup file. It says that 309 bookmarks have been found, but nothing changes on the bookmarks bar, still showing the "Import bookmarks" bookmark. These are very important bookmarks I would really like to get back, can you help me please ?

There should be a feature where you can copy the link to particular text on a webpage (much like when you click on a Google result for a certain part of an article). Where do I suggest features for Firefox?

When I open Firefox, it is only a quarter of the browser in the right-upper quarter of the screen. How can I make it so the browser opens fully in the entire screen.

Hi all; the subject line pretty much sopeaks for itself. Lately (within the past few days), whenever I open a new webpage, the sidebar appears. Until now it would only appear when I wanted it to, but now it's doing it on its own and it's annoying as ****. When I start Firefox it appears in a small window and it takes several tries to maximize it. In the past I right clicked on the Icon and I had a choice of setting the window to open in Maximum, this doesn't seem available now. How do I get the window to open in maximum on startup?

The first time i enter fullscreen for the on the current monitor, the window is not filled completely. It fixes itself if i exit fullscreen and enter it again.

I did not observe this behaviour in 124.0

The fix mentioned in that thread is applied for me.

With these updates the way Firefox handles Outlook seems to get worse and worse. I don't have these problems if I switch to Edge. If I'm watching streamers on Twitch the streams pause while Outlook loads. It didn't used to do this. Something about that mail service is really hanging up the browser and it struggles more and more. There is always delay as it tries to load everything. The first email will take a while before it loads up. Sometimes if I close the tab and open a new one and try again it loads up faster. I've have all my cookies reset with this recent firefox update, everything got wiped for some reason, but getting them set up again doesn't help it. Clearing Cache hasn't helped it.

After restarting Firefox i found I've lost all History and Bookmarks.
