I have enclosed a screenshot showing what happens when I want to go to a new tab on the two computers I use most often. One is my desktop which has Windows 10 Home. The other is my laptop which has Windows 10 Pro. The Windows 10 Home was installed most recently and is the latest version of Windows 10, my tech guy told me; and also the latest version of Firefox 123.0.1. The laptop version of Windows 10 is older. The Firefox version is also 123.0.1.

My hope is that there is a setting I have not uncovered that lets me put some kind of mark on a new tab, as my laptop has had for a few years. This makes it very easy to open. The newer, later Windows version but same Firefox 123.0.1 on the desktop must be right-clicked in the space to the right of any open site, and then the user must scroll down to the "New Tab" line and click on it. Obviously this requires my user clicks and more time, simply to get a new tab that gives me a blank site that I prefer.

I appreciate whatever guidance or suggestions anyone can give.

Hello! I was reading a pdf file in Firefox, and I wanted to bookmark a page to read it later. Unfortunately, on the top right hand corner, I can't find the bookmark button (the ribbon button), and in the settings there is no way to find it or the option related.

Firefox 123, Windows 11

This is going to start out sounding like a Google problem, but please read the whole thing. I have a new Windows 11 Dell, and I normally run Firefox. When I wasn't able to attach a file to a gmail email I went to Google Account Help. It suggested that I delete cookies and cache, which I have now done several times. Now the problem is that I can't get to Gmail from Account Help. I have deleted everything that Firefox History will let me delete, and no matter how I try to get to it I cannot get to Gmail. It keeps me in Google Account Help.

Here's why I think I have a Firefox problem. In frustration I opened MS Edge. It let me get to Gmail, and it let me attach the file to my email. It seems to me that if I were having a Google problem, it wouldn't matter which browser I was in. As soon as it saw my email address it would put me in the same place. That's my reasoning anyway.

I open a website (opentable.com) and it opens momentarily then the screen goes blank white. I can open the site using microsoft edge.

Something has changed as this previously was not a problem

I used to click on a bookmark to open a new window and load the link, but now it's loaded directly into the original window, how do I revert back to the previous state?

I use ecosia as my default search engine on a PC.

Recently I've been getting searching, and when I click on a wikipedia result, it opens as a mobile format page.

I haven't noticed this with any other websites.

Any suggestions?

I suddenly can not open my outlook.live email page (https://outlook.live.com/). It is just a blank screen. What happened and how can I restore it? All other web pages open fine except for outlook.live .

AFTER RESETTING MY MACBOOK PRO I DISCOVERED THAT MY ALL MY PASSWORDS AND EMAIL SAVED TO MY ACCOUNT HAVE BEEN REMOVED/DELETED. PLEASE HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THANK YOU.

When I type a letter in the URL space, there is a drop down selection of previous sites I have used. Some contain names of people I have searched and I don't want any embarrassment if said persons happen to use my PC. Is it possible to delete the list, or, perhaps better, delete the ones with names?

I'm using Windows 10 with FF x64.

Hello there. I'm used to pressing Super(Win key) + Grave(`) to type "`" because the Grave key itself is a global shortcut for opening the terminal window. It works as expected in the other applications, but not in Firefox input fields. If the site is capturing the key presses, it will handle the super + key as usual. For example, GitHub will surround the selected word with ` symbols on grave key press. This problem is not limited to super + grave, but any other letter. For example, Super + q is expected to produce the letter "q", but in Firefox it produces nothing.

I'm trying to identify why the Super + key behavior in Firefox is different from other systems and if I should open a bug or not. Maybe this is the same bug as https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1626609. Thunderbird has the same problem.

Hi all, I've been having this issue for a while. I am unable to view streams on YouTube or Twitch (Twitch will show streams as offline, whereas YouTube will not even show streams), and I have encountered a new issue where YouTube allows only 360p on videos. I have used the HTML5 Video Capability Test and seem to have an issue in that department (images attached). Even in troubleshooting mode, the issue persists. Any help is appreciated.

This issue has arisen on Firefox for Linux Mint (my current version is 123.0 (64bit)). I like Firefox, and I like its bookmarks toolbar, and have used it for many years, but there seems to be a new bug introduced today:- The bookmarks toolbar is present and correct when I start Firefox, but now it disappears as soon as I select any bookmark, or if I enter any web address or if I open a new tab. The [View >Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar > Alway Show] option is already selected, but the toolbar is no longer visible. If I click on it again, the bookmarks toolbar reappears (or I can restart Firefox, and this will also restore the toolbar). But the toolbar now disappears as soon as I use the browser in any way, and so is currently not really of practical use, as it needs constant restoring. Hope you can help resolve this. Title is self explanatory. When I try to take and save a screenshot in my browser, either when right clicking and selecting Take Screenshot or using CTRL + SHIFT + S it always cuts off some of the image I'm trying to take. Any ideas on how to get this fixed?

Whenever I have 2 tabs open, Firefox always takes up 2gb of ram. I already turned on minimum memory usage in about:memory and turned off hardware acceleration.

For context, my specs: 8gb ram i5 1240p (integrated graphics)

I know you're meant to use up all of your ram, but I typically have other apps pen to multitask.

On a fresh install of openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240313 with KDE Plasma 6 (Wayland), the X button in the upper right corner of the screen does not allow you to click it when the pointer is in the upper right corner of the screen. Default behavior in KDE is to just let you close the window anyways even though the button itself is circular.

Is there any way to change this?

I'm trying to create a Drag & Drop file feature in my web page following this doc https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/HTML_Drag_and_Drop_API/File_drag_and_drop

The dropHandler function works as expected the first time I tried to drop a file into a "drop area" div, but then does not work anymore. In all subsequent calls, the drop event is triggered but there is no file in

`` event.dataTransfer.items // empty event.dataTransfer.files // empty ```

This behavior is the same in Troubleshoot Mode.
