Google is my default search engine in the address bar on firefox. When I search in the address bar, it just resets to the page that I am currently on and doesn't load the search. It does the same if I try typing 'google.com' or 'google.ca' but gmail.com seems to work fine.

If I type in a full website address for other sites (reddit, wikipedia, duckduckgo, etc) it works fine.

I deleted firefox all together and downloaded it fresh and reset to default settings. Right now I only have one extension and it's ublock origins. I've disabled ublock origins to see if that would help, and I'm still having problems.

The problem is inconsistent where sometimes if I type google.com it will take me there and other times even that won't work. Sometimes if I try changing the default search engine in settings and then switching it back to google, it will fix it for a few searches, but then I go back to having issues.

It just sort of keeps circling back to the same problem even if I can get it to work briefly. Re-opening firefox in safe mode clears the problem while it's in safe mode, but even with all extensions disabled, the problem keeps coming back when I'm not in safe mode.

Any ideas or fixes?

I had a problem therefore I had to reinstall Firefox. When I reinstalled I had to login again and I did that with my usual Mail Address that I used for Firefox since years! But something was off... No Bookmarks, no backups nothing! I pressed sync to get the data because it didnt fetch it automatically but nothing happened either. I logged out and somehow after googling I found a way to login with google! (The option wasnt available anymore in the browser options WTF?! ) logged in and saw my profile picture etc I noticed this was my real account right there! Logged in and landed (at leat so it seemed in that new account that I described before which wasnt my real account, I synced nothing happened, all is fcked!) I lost my account so it seems with bookmarks that I gathered for years! ALL LOST.. Iam mad, frustraded, sad... and there doesnt seem to be any backup on my harddrive at least and my firefox account has been overwritten... Should I´ve been swapped earlier to google Chrome?! I really liked Firefox over these years... Iam so sad right now

I'm having an issue with signing into my.elementor account using Firefox. I'm using the latest version of Firefox on Windows 11. There are no errors occurring from Firefox or anywhere else. I can sign in to my elementor account with other browsers (Chrome and Edge) no problem.

This started with the last couple of updates to Firefox. I've never had issues like this before with Firefox.

When I go to the elementor website and click on Sign In, the sign in page comes up. I normally click on the Sign in with Google. Then the Google popup shows then goes away in about 2 seconds and I am not signed into elementor. No errors at all.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue or can point me in the right direction to troubleshoot.

Elementor works fine when I'm building my website using Firefox.

Accidentally deleted a file downloaded to the Downloads folder when I intended to hit the Clear Downloads. If not recoverable, suggest moving the Delete away from Clear Downloads or require a confirmation before deleting.

Hello. The latest update of FireFox 129.0.2 still has intermittent crashes. Sometimes I can't access my Google searches or links in emails don't work, then it works, then it starts to malfunction again. I have to restart my PC. Could you release a patch that works as well as before FireFox 129.0? On the other hand, Canal+ works perfectly Thanks. Kind regards.

trying to log into stockstotrade, cookies is blocking entry. notice say they dont support. last week i could acces now i cant. i am a user not a programer every day more BS. wolfba42@yahoo. gmail want to copy my yahoo i spent more time being to change this ant that get little else done. frusttrated

I'm experiencing an issue with the search bar on the Firefox homepage. When I click into the search field and begin typing, the cursor jumps to the address bar, and the text I’m entering gets redirected there instead of staying in the search bar.

I've checked my search settings, and everything seems to be in order. I’ve also tried disabling add-ons, but the issue persists. Could you please assist me in resolving this problem?

I used to have a home icon to return to firefox home page; it has disappeared.Any help getting it back would be greatly appreciated.I think I might have gotten it back thru the extension app but don't remember the process. Thanks

Hi there! My linux crashed and I only have an access to the terminal now. I'm trying to save login information and bookmarks that were saved in the browser. I didn't use an account. So I'm trying to find a location in the linux system where it was saved. I used 'find' command with key words 'mozilla' and 'firefox' to find possible locations but I'm not sure that I covered everything. Maybe someone here knows exactly where I should look. Thank you for you help and advance :)

Hi, out of nowhere my Firefox has stopped loading any pages for the past hour. I have read the existing community articles and cleared all of my history, cache, cookies, and restarted my computer 4 times. Firefox is up to date and was working fine up until I left my computer and returned to it an hour ago. I haven't downloaded anything new or clicked anything weird, I was just listening to a regular podcast this morning. All websites either show up as left-aligned text with no images, or are completely blank. This includes Gmail, Tumblr, Youtube, EyeBuyDirect, etc. All of these sites load perfectly in Edge so the issue is specific to Firefox. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Edit to Update: I turned off my AdBlock extensions one by one to narrow down the issue. The problem was AdBlocker Ultimate. I disabled it and now all my websites in Firefox are working as normal.

After my Windows 10 laptop being in sleep mode I found my background picture changed and all my Firefox tabs missing (while my bookmarks, add-ons, history etc. saved, and all other apps functioning properly). Recently Closed Windows menu was inactive and using Restore option in Library had no effect (despite availability of recent saves).

I found out that Mozilla folder was just missing in %appdata% (e.g. Profile Folder in about:support leaded to a non-existent directory). No manual changes to Firefox settings/data were made and no new profiles created.

What might be the problem and are there any ways to restore my tabs?

My RoboForm Mozilla add-on stopped working and I tried to uninstall then reinstall the app. When I try to reinstall the extension, the following pop-up occurs: RoboForm Start Page has detected RoboForm browser extension but cannot connect with it. Please update RoboForm browser extension. How do I update the RoboForm browser extension? Thanks for any help you can provide to resolve this issue.
