My location in eBay keeps changing. It doesn't matter how many times I change it just resets to an old postcode. I removed this address from my eBay account, and I've cleared cookies in Mozilla but it keeps resetting. I've tried signing out of my Mozilla account and reinstalling Mozilla but it is still doing it. I'm pretty sure that Mozilla has stored the address somewhere but I have no idea how to get rid of it. It's been like this for two years now.

Thanks.

I am very keen to avoid cookies being stored on my computer and have checked the box that says "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed". I have no "Exceptions". I also have "Strict" tracking protection - again, with no Exceptions. Yet when I open a particular bookmarked website (www.bikemap.net), Firefox displays the page showing the bike route from my street to my friend's house that I looked at weeks ago. This even happens when I open the site in a New Private Window. I am baffled as to why this is happening and what I need to do to stop it. Can you help, please? Thanks.

But after doing that I still can't login to my PayPal account.

Would somebody please help me? Thanka in advance

Hello,

starting my browser today, I was puzzled to see that FireFox had logged me out of everything overnight. Doing some searching in the fora as well as the web in general, I 've come to the conclusion that it must be a cookie problem. So I went into my profile and found out that the cookies.sqlite file is there, as well as a back up of it from yesterday, which I used to replace the current cookies.sqlite. It worked just fine, but every time I restart the browser, a new file is created, starting with a clean slate, meaning, logged out of everything again. The .bak file is 2048 KB in size according to windows, not sure if there is something at play here. So my question is, how do I make FireFox accept the backup file and not start a new one again, I really need to stay logged in to a few websites.

Cheers

I need to clear active login cache stored by the browser during login in order to avoid automatic login of user if the user clicks back button after logout or access the same link in new tab before closing the browser. I am able to manually clear and it works as expected. But I need to do it programmatically and couldn't find any feasible solution.

Like Firefox "knows" subject lines I emailed in my online yahoomail, and then offers dropdown choices whenever I enter subject headers in forums.

For example, I might ask something on Gardenweb beginning with "A" such as, say: Apple growing

I then might see these choices dropping down, immediately upon entering "A" Attn: dear bro anti-cookie strategies Attn: Chad re: our recent finance discussion

This has been going on for ages, but never got around to asking: What's this all about? and what are these dropdowns called?

It reminds me of google dropdowns, but even more personal.

On a tangent (speak of way worse privacy intrusion) what's most nauseating, is yahoo making mandatory the entry of mobile numbers for every new email signup. It just came to my attention now, due to RL distractions. Why does everything always get complicatedly worse, instead of remaining simple & utilitarian? Not to mention extreme EMFs (i'm electrosensitive, so that's a sensitive issue for me)

I am running Firefox 28.0 on Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. Every time I start Firefox (It crashes frequently) I get the same cookie prompts. On each one the "remember" box is checked. What does this "remember" box signify? If I tell Firefox that I do not want to save a cookie for site X, then I expect that Firefox will remember this, and if I visit the site again, then Firefox will not prompt me to ask if I want to save a cookie for that site.

I typically run with cookies disabled (do not allow web sites to store cookies). I then manually allow selected sites to do so.

I recently tried to add a site to the exception list only to discover that many of my settings have been changed and all of my exceptions have been deleted.

I did not do this intentionally. The only thing I can think of is I allowed FF to upgrade to 36.0. I think this was a few weeks ago.

How can I get the cookie exception list back? There were at least 100, maybe a lot more. I have no way of knowing which ones they all were.

How can I prevent this from happening again?

I do not visit facebook. I have cookies turned off and history cleared in all the right places but I still get facebook cookies. I use CCleaner to clean them out after I exit firefox. I still get them again when I browse. I am using several cookie and blocking extensions. I have even tried explicitly blocking them, no joy. I have even wiped firefox and reloaded firefox with a clean copy on a brand new computer. Nothing seems to get rid of facebook cookies. What do I have to do to get facebook to stop or firefox to stop accepting them?

A list of them from CCleaner: an.facebook.com connect.facebook.com staticxx.facebook.com www.facebook.com

I also get this one: cdn.polyfill.io

FF saves all my passwords and logons via master password except for one web site, even after a restart in safe mode and refresh. No matter what I do, FF does not show the prompt for typing in the master password when I access this site. This started after I once cleared all cookies and data. I checked the list of exceptions for the affect site, www.pond5.com, but it is not listed. I have spoken the the webmaster at pond5, and they claim not to have any non-standard code that would prohibit the prompting of any master password. They suggested I use a different password saving system, but the FF system has served me well, no need to change it. I have restarted in safe mode, tried a refresh of the browser, but this one web site stubbornly refuses to be listed in my master password list. Plug-ins installed: OpnH264 video codec, Widevine Content Decryption Module, Shockwave Flash.

If you look at the attached image you can easily see what my problem is. Because I can't make exceptions for various websites those websites will remain broken unless I change the Global settings for cookies... which makes the Exceptions - Content Blocking UI redundant.

Oh I guess I should throw in a question. Is there a way to manually add websites to the exception list? Through some convoluted user unfriendly configuration file or some such?

In my Cookies and Site Data, under "last used" it says there's a whole bunch of cookies being accessed every time I launch Firefox. Even if I launch Firefox with no open tabs, cookies are still being accessed when I launch.

I find this deeply disturbing! Cookies surely should not be able to activate until you start visiting websites?

Can anyone please explain how and why are these cookies being accessed?

first i was thinking that this is only a Firefox addon issue (CookieMaster), but it might actually happen with other browsers too... although maybe it's still related to cookies only?

when i do some posting on some random forums, it always totally randomly cuts off half of the posts and even adds totally random phrases from the same post into totally random places, so the post gets either cut off or really hard to even understand because all of the text scrambling in it...

and that's not even all - now i edited some old wordpress post and then noticed that it has done the same exact word scrambling in it... so it's really hard to understand what is being said in 1 sentence again...

so why is it happening and how can i fix it?

(Opera and Chrome browser don't even allow to log in or do some other editing stuff in wordpress lol)
