Dear Mozilla Support Team,

I recently had to reset my Windows operating system. After reinstalling Mozilla Firefox, I attempted to sign in to my Firefox account. Unfortunately, I had forgotten my password and had to reset it. Although I successfully signed in after resetting my password, none of my previously synchronized data, including passwords and bookmarks, appeared.

I had performed a synchronization before the reset, so I expected my data to be restored upon signing in. However, this did not happen, and I am now unable to access my important passwords and bookmarks. Could you please assist me in recovering my data? I rely heavily on this information for my daily activities and would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

hi I reinstalled my windows recently. before that , i made sure im singed in with this email address to protect my passwords with firefox sync. (eb.movahhed58@gmail.com)

after installing the new firefox , i figured my passwords are gone and they werent restored from my account.

i received welcome e-mail when i successfully create an mozilla accunt couple of days ago. please assist me !!

My firefox crash, I uninstall and re-install. i logged to my Mozilla account and the sync does not work. I don't have my password or my bookmark.

I still have everything on my phone How can I force the sync or retrieve data in an xml/csv file ?

If I am using Sync and I want to delete a bookmark from "Manage Bookmarks" say, doe that book mark get deleted from the synced database on the Mozilla server? And if so, does it then get deleted from my other synced devices like Firefox for Android on my mobile next time I used Firefox on my phone?

After a fresh install of windows and Firefox, I logged into my account as normal on my PC browser and lost all of my passwords, bookmarks, settings, and everything else when I synced it to Firefox on my iPhone. It's as if my account was reset. There was multiple years of data saved there. Is there a fix to this?

I have two notebooks with Firefox (NB1 and NB2). NB2 rebooted and Firefox restarted losing all open tabs; now I would like to bring the tabs from NB1 to NB2; both have synchronisation enabled, but when I go to ‘Settings, synchronisation’ on NB2 it says ‘Synchronising in progress’ and nothing happens. I've also tried going to NB1 and sending a tab to NB2; I select NB2 and nothing happens.

I've got Sync on a laptop and phone. My phone will see all the current tabs on my desktop, but the desktop is out of date by about a week no matter how many times I hit Sync Now.

I have signed out and signed in again on my laptop but this did nothing. I saved a new bookmark on my desktop to force a sync, nothing. I did the same on my phone, nothing. Short of signing out on my phone and possibly risk the one that DOES actually Sync, what else can I do?

My phone is an Android, my laptop is using Windows 11. My laptop has not reset recently.

sign in wants code. my google authenticator not giving correct code to sign in. only can sign in with google acct to post to ask a question.

so need to suggest use a text as I am confused with phone google authenticator. like to turn off this step. so can sync. reinstall ff and old bookmarks show up.

I am sorry that my letter has caused you trouble but I have to ask you for help to solve the problem I was facing. I forget to save my account Password when I uninstalled the Firefox browser and I didn’t log in to my account at the time.But I’m in hurry and need it too.Can you help me get it back?Thank yo very much! My account was fine all night and now I get an “inactive account” message when attempting to login.

My work is trying to fire me because they say Firefox was mirroring my activity at home and vice versa. I.E If I opened a tab at home it when then open a tab and attempt to connect to same website on my work computer in the office.

I’m fairly certain it doesn’t cause that would be wildly unnecessary for what sync tabs is trying to accomplish but I used wireshark to watch for outgoing connections on my home desktop and opened a tab on my phone and my personal laptop and wireshark never detected outgoing connections to the tabs on other devices

Had to complete reset my PC after a bad hardware issue, everything completely wiped but I managed to get the older key4 and logins.json folders, unfortnately their encrypted... Is there anyway to sync them back up? So I can import all the passwords back onto my profile.

I use Sync on multiple computers for passwords. I have forgotten the Primary password on one of them. If I do a password reset on the one computer, does it affect the passwords stored on the Sync server, or maybe just the key4.db and logins.json folders on the computer being reset? I will not do a reset if the Sync'ed passwords could be affected, I'll just look them up on my phone. Thanks for your help!
