macOS. Firefox is running. I enter: open -a Firefox --args -private-window "https://apple.com" (in Terminal or Automator) which I believe should open apple.com in a new private window, but although the focus change to the already open Firefox window, a new private window does not open. It does work (apple.com opens in a new private window) if Firefox is not already running, but I thought the -private-window argument is supposed to open a new private window whether Firefox is already running or not. What have I got wrong?

I keep getting messages from one of my credit cards saying a new computer was detected, saying it was Foxfire (or Mozilla) and Windows 10. The computer I'm using is running Windows 11 - why do I get Windows 10 in these messages?

I am constantly getting pop-ups which say they are from McAfee. It automatically puts something on my task bar. As soon as I clear it off, it reappears. It blocks my screen. (V-e-r-y annoying.) How can I block these pop-ups. Thank you.

It's not possible to switch Google accounts for Gemini in the AI Chatbot toolbar. When I select another Google account in the chatbox, the browser redirects to https://gemini.google.com, but the AI chatbot continues to use my default Gemini account, see the attached screenshot.

Ai overview is painfully inaccurate and I am hoping to find a way to disable it on my google searches, if that is not possible, what search engine would you recommend?

I would like sign in using a Yubi Key, and without using a smart phone. (this should also include having a spare Yubi Key) The whole reason I got a Yubi Key is I don't have or want a smart phone (I do have one but it sits a home doing nothing). I also don't think its a wise move to have my login mechanism that authenticates me on an internet accessible general computing device. If that gets compromised then my account is compromised.

But when I tried to add 2FA to my account it asks me to use an authentication app. I stopped there when I get to my phone I might try and see if I can get around it. I don't want to use an authentication app I just want to use a Yubi Key.

Also what will happen to my account if one day my phone just stops working or I lose it?

I'd like to cancel Relay. I have been having problems with getting logged onto sites that I need quickly. This morning Norton would not let me on to see my privacy report.

Please tell me how to delete/cancel Relay.

Why is something claiming to be McAfee telling my that my Firefox browser is infected? And it's showing me a renewal notice when I do not have McAfee. It's all very annoying. If I download a new Firefox will that fix it?

When I attempt to log in to my gmail account, rXXXXXXXXXXXXXt@gmail.com, I instead get logged in to my niece's account, rXXXXXXXXe@gmail.com . I can then open and read her email, etc., and have no desire to, but more importantly cannot open my gmail account. Her account originates out of Fruita, Colorado, no where near Beaverton, Oregon, so I have no idea why my computer would try to log in to her gmail account. It is possible that she used my computer to log in to her gmail account when she was out here visiting this past summer, but your software still should not log in to her account when I ask it to go to my account, [email removed]@gmail.com. In my not very humble opinion, this is a major security breach and weakness in your software besides being a royal pain.

Hacked and breached my emails and now unobtainable and cannot login to important NHS APP or websites.

Breached [email removed]@sky.com, hacked [email removed]@gmail.com, hacked [email removed]@gmail.com and more problems with NHS append departments telling me I already have accounts in the hacked and breached emails so cannot login since moving house in October 2024 to another address from Manchester to Middlesbrough Yorkshire. Please help and advise. I am trying so hard to rescue my NHS APP they have blocked me and tried to set up a new account but cannot. Says I still have accounts but breached and hacked so impossible to get into my accounts.
