When I am browsing any webpage, if a link is clicked, it just automatically redirects to Yahoo DNS server error page. Also, if I am on any webpage without clikcing on any link, after 5 to7 seconds, it redirects itself to Yahoo DNS server error page. This is constantly happening even after I reinstalled, rebooted etc.

I use FlashPlayer to watch videos on YouTube. To get rid of the notification "Press Esc To Exit Full Screen Mode," I went to about:config and changed the value of "full-screen-api.approval-required" to false. It worked until I restarted Firefox and now it doesn't.

As a matter of fact, every time I restart Firefox, it does a lot of things against my Preferences, too. It signs me out of YouTube and every other site even though I have the box checked to NOT do that.

Any real answers or am I deleting Firefox permanently and going back to Safari?

Hello,

I am running the newest update for firefox (Version 38.0.1) on Mac OS Version 10.6.8. When I open a new window in firefox, the close, maximize, and minimize buttons are located in the top left corner, as usual. However, if I enter fullscreen mode on a video, and then exit, the buttons are not there. They are not simply invisible - clicking in their usual location has no effect.

Thanks, ReOsIr

Just in the past month, some of the teachers at my school have been having problems with downloading from Firefox. They're on Macs on OS 10.7.5 using the latest version of Firefox. If they download a pdf file, there's a message that the file is empty when you try to open it. Other downloads fail. I have reset the downloads folder, reset firefox, cleared history, cache and cookies, disabled hardware acceleration. No extensions are loaded that need to be disabled. Firefox is using the default theme. There are no Add-Ons loaded. I've created a new downloads location and/or tried saving downloads to the desktop. All of those fixes I've gotten from a search for this problem. Nothing is working. Firefox on the computer I'm on now is working fine; this is happening to others.

Any help would be appreciated.

My Clear History settings are all checked, yet when I quit FF my history is not cleared. Additionally, FF hangs up and I must quit manually, but wouldn't expect manually quitting to overcome history settings.

After quitting whether manually or on the occasion FF does fulfill the quit command, I find I am able to restore the last session.

Is this a bug in FF, an incompatibility with MAC OS 10.6.8, or something else? I have not found my question answered sufficiently in the forum where a similar question was asked.

When I do a Google search for a product or person on the right side of the page is a little bit of specific information and if available a a little square with a prompt for more images. Clicking on that prompt brings you to a full page of related pictures. On all my computers when you click on a specific picture tile it becomes large then you can close the picture and go back to the tile page. On the computer I'm having trouble with when I click on a specific tile on the tile page nothing happens, the screen stays on the tile page. This is not a computer problem because when I follow the same procedure in Safari everything works just like it is supposed to, so this has to be a problem with the Firefox setting on this particular computer. This is a fairly new issue, with in the last few months.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Using Mac OS 10.6.8. Firefox crashing issue just started occurring for me after updating to FF 31.0 on 8-5-14. Prior to that FF has always worked perfectly for me with no printing issues or any other issues. Luckily FF does not crash when printing anything else. All other web pages work well so far except for Amazon.

Tried many different listings on Amazon but I get the same result; instant crash. Command P brings up the Print Window successfully, but as soon as I make the choice to Print, Preview or Save as a pdf, FF crashes. (By the way, my Safari browser works perfectly when printing these same web pages on Amazon. No crashes.)

Tried every single one of the Help suggestions regarding the printer settings, preferences, and other help suggestions for crashing issues but they made no difference at all. Cleared my FF cookies and cache, cleared my system and user caches, updated Flash Player and checked that all plugins were up-to-date, ran Disk Utility to repair permissions, and reset PRAM, but no luck.

Decided to reset FF last night but that resulted in no change at all. FF still crashes when attempting to print from Amazon. I reported this issue to Amazon, and they said they would contact Mozilla about it too. Thank you.

Using Firefox 36.0.4, the Awesome Bar and the icons below the Awesome Bar are "covering" several of the icons that should be seen on my Optimum e-mail page. The previous version of Firefox did not have the words and icons for Most Visited, Getting Started, Latest Headlines, Apple, Yahoo!, News, and Popular. The e-mail page info that I no longer see was, with the original Firefox, displayed where those icons and labels are now displayed.

How do I delete or shrink those labels/titles and icons?

Okay, I've got a doozy for you. I was working with my Hotmail/Outlook web-based email while using Firefox today on my desktop Mac with OS 10.6.8, and I kept getting an intermittent message at the top of my email window, "We can't connect to Outlook right now. Please try again later." These messages usually appear once every so often and are no big deal, albeit not with the frequency that they appeared today.

I eventually completed my email and went to print my Sent message, and noticed that the content of the Sent message was not accurate. Paragraphs were missing and the entire message was goofed up. Luckily I had copied my message to the clipboard before sending it, so I pasted my message content into a new email and resent it to the recipient. The same thing happened again! When I viewed the second Sent message, the body of the message was identical to the prior goofed up Sent message.

I opened up my Safari browser and went to the Sent messages folder and located those same two Sent messages to see if the issue was there. Both Sent messages were 100% accurate and correct when viewed in Safari. So I returned to Firefox, cleared everything in the history (the cache, cookies, saved searches, download history, etc.)m and shut Firefox down and reopened it. When I returned to my email and checked my Sent messages, the same incorrect Sent messages were still present in my Sent messages folder.

Then I went to my iPhone to check on the appearance of my Sent messages there, and everything was correct. I forwarded one of my Sent messages from the phone to my email address, and returned to Firefox on my desktop to see how it looked as a new message. The email was 100% correct when I viewed it within the Inbox, however, once I moved it into the Sent Messages folder and opened it up, the content magically converted to the same goofed up message as the prior sent messages! Now that is bizarre! What on earth??? So then I moved the converted goofy message back to my Inbox to see if it stayed messed up or reverted back to the correct original version, but unfortunately it stayed all goofed up.

Can anyone explain what is going on here? And how do I fix this? What would cause Firefox to retain these incorrect Sent messages, while the correct versions appear in Safari on my desktop and iPhone? Could it have something to do with the "We can't connect to Outlook" message that I kept getting intermittently when I was working on my email in Firefox? Even more perplexing, why would FF take the forwarded accurate message from my phone, which appeared normal and correct in my Inbox, and convert it to the messed up version after I moved it to the Sent messages folder? Is there a persistent corruption affecting my Sent messages folder in Firefox, which isn't getting fixed with the self-help measures I attempted?

Web-based email should be the same no matter what browser you use to access your email, so this is very odd indeed. What do I have to do to fix this? I don't use Safari at all. Firefox is my default browser. If my Sent message appears wrong in Firefox that will cause me future problems, especially if I need to forward the Sent message to another party. Thank you.
