I've done everything possible to serve a pure https site. The player built in to the browser seems to break it. Example https://indyradio.info/zero/swr015/swr04-15/32sw0424_15.ogg In Google Chrome, the green bar still shows the site as secure. The only element other than the one file of mine is the mozilla html5 player. This example is served from an https only site with an A+ rating at qualys ssllabs, with HSTS and TLS_FALLBACK_SCSV https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=indyradio.info&s=162.220.218.70

the above just happens too often and im getting crashes [sorry] doesn't cut it . your stay signed in works about as well as a screen door on a submarine. i can see an occasional check to sign in, but it is sad when i have to jump hoops just to do a quick check on my emails. i purposely wanted to get away from google chrome as it is too invasive . i want privacy and i dont expect my wife to know what she is probably getting as the next gift by looking at advertisement at right of screen . i would like firefox to work please correct these problems. your commitment to a open internet would be nice. even putting so much information under signing to get to a comment page is a little much, an email addy should be sufficient. Simple works best ,easy to track your own data and rectify any problems. The time storing , sorting and reading data that has nothing of relevance diminishes productive work load and execution.

In the "Servers" tab, I see a bunch of certificates, including my certificate exceptions, as well as certificates from CNNIC and DigiNotar. From what I've found on the web, these CNNIC and DigiNotar certificates have been actively distrusted by Mozilla. Do such actively distrusted certificates appear in the certificate manager? If so, what do they look like in the UI? If my browser is actively distrusting these certificates, the UI isn't making this immediately obvious.

Thanks!

I can't play any videos which are now HTML5 or the newer Flash. It's frustrating that sites change my format so I can't even watch my own videos. Especially on Photobucket. Even Facebook is changing up so the videos are choppy, yet Chrome and Opera play them fine because they run Flash 18.0.0.160.

Private windows should leave no record of previous usage in the computer, right? When using a private windows, autocomplete is offering options, and moreover options of fills I have never used. For example, when trying to login to an email account, I get the options for accounts that are not mine (nor of any friend that has ever used my computer).

Is this ok (if so, why? shouldn't there be no info stored at all) or should I be worrying about my computer/network being compromised??

I realize this may only be something cosmetic, but it is something that shouldn't happen. I've only noticed it in the past couple of days, since I upgraded to v47.0 (on a Slack64 v14.1 system). Everything, except that arrow, still seems to work as it always has. I'm not talking about the arrow on the "Downloads" button itself, but the animated arrow that shows a download has completed. It used to appear small, grow larger, and then disappear. Now, it does everything but disappear. Parts of it disappear if I hover over buttons it is covering. It disappears completely if I right click on the toolbar and select "Customize", or if I restart Firefox; I find both of those options to be a bit much.

Dear Sirs,

I tried to improve Firefox performance by following the steps at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Firefox_on_RAM

In brief,

   open about:config in the address bar
   set browser.cache.disk.enable to "false" (double click the line)
   verify that browser.cache.memory.enable is set to "true" (default value)
   add the entry (right click->new->integer) browser.cache.memory.capacity and set it to the amount of KB you'd like to spare, or to -1 for automatic cache size selection. (Skipping this step has the same effect as setting the value to -1.) [I skipped]
   profile backup using tar zcvfp ~/firefox_profile_backup.tar.gz ~/.mozilla/firefox/xyz.default
   creation of a script:

firefox-sync

  1. !/bin/sh

static=main link=xyz.default volatile=/dev/shm/firefox-$USER

IFS= set -efu

cd ~/.mozilla/firefox

if [ ! -r $volatile ]; then mkdir -m0700 $volatile fi

if [ "$(readlink $link)" != "$volatile" ]; then mv $link $static ln -s $volatile $link fi

if [ -e $link/.unpacked ]; then rsync -av --delete --exclude .unpacked ./$link/ ./$static/ else rsync -av ./$static/ ./$link/ touch $link/.unpacked fi

First execution of the script: $ killall firefox firefox-bin $ chmod +x ~/bin/firefox-sync $ ~/bin/firefox-sync

Script calling every login and logout: echo '~/bin/firefox-sync' | tee -a ~/.bash_logout ~/.bash_profile >/dev/null

After this Google Play Books fails with the error:

Can't open book

To read books on Google Play, set your web browser to allow cookies for books.googleusercontent.com. Learn more

Firefox

   Open Firefox.
   Click on the Firefox menu > Preferences > Privacy.
   Under “History,” select Use custom settings for history.
   Next to “Accept cookies from site,” click Exceptions.
   Under “Address of website,” type books.googleusercontent.com.
   Click Allow.

Did that many times. Kept failing. Restored the first setting set browser.cache.disk.enable to true again. Kept failing. Loaded again the cookie exeption for playbooks. Worked.

Then I restored the disk.enable setting to false, and since that Google Play Books won't work anymore with either setting, cookie exeption or anything.

I'll apreciate any guideline before the profile deletion; or if it helps you to improve Firefox I'll be glad to help.

Regards,

Nicolás Adamo

Using vrealize automation 6.2.1, when trying to connect to a remote console firefox errors out with the following: Cannot establish a remote console connection. Verify that the machine is powered on. If the server has a self-signed certificate, you might need to accept the certificate, then close and retry the connection.

When trying to permanently add an exception, the windows will not allow me to continue to the page unless i de-select the permanent option (making it only a temporary bypass). Its odd that I even get an error on this page since Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge display the page as trusted AND connect to the remote console just fine. Any thoughts on this?
