When I am browsing any webpage, if a link is clicked, it just automatically redirects to Yahoo DNS server error page. Also, if I am on any webpage without clikcing on any link, after 5 to7 seconds, it redirects itself to Yahoo DNS server error page. This is constantly happening even after I reinstalled, rebooted etc.

I have problem accessing SSL client auth protected websites.

Security module is succesfully loaded, Login via Security module is OK and I can see certificates from SmartCard in Firefox "Your Certificates" tab. When I navigate to SSL protected website Firefox does not open pop-up certificate dialog with my certificates list and I can't login to website.

I also try not to login via Security module directly and then, when I came to website, Firefox detect SSL client Auth request from website and backend middleware raise pop-up pin dialog. Again, I have logged in successfully into smartcard via middleware, certificates are loaded in "Your certificates" tab but Firefox does not opening certificate dialog.

Middleware is ActivClient 6.2 and Firefox version is 25. I also try with different Firefox/ActivClient version combination but same problem still exists.

Also, Firefox on Linux works ok (combination with Coolkey). I also try Coolkey and Firefox on Windows OS and also working.

Problem exists only with Firefox/ActivClient combination.

Does anybody have solution for this problem?

Thnx...

I am having a problem with Firefox versions 29 and 30. My browser gets very very slow, stalls, scroll bars don't work etc. when I visit sites that host flash videos.

I get two instances of the flashplayerplugin_14_0_0_125.exe *32 running and one of the instances takes as much as 30% of the cpu time.

Sometimes I get a popup dialog box that says "Shockwave may be busy....."

I have tried disabling hardware accel in the plugin, but no difference. I upgraded firefox from 29 to 30, no difference.

I tried running Firefox in safe mode and then enabling Flash when trying to view a video - no difference

Flash works just fine and uses almost no CPU time in Internet Explorer 8

My system is Windows 7 64 bit home edition

I read the solution to this from various posts but there's a problem with that solution.

Tools>Options>Advanced>"Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload a page"

Un-checking the redirect block is a Global setting. I want to know how to allow redirect/reload pages for sites I use every day as friendly sites. I do not want to turned off for the entire world wide web. Otherwise, why even have this security setting at all? I've already added my usual sites to my Privacy exception list hoping that will work but that list is ignored by the redirect security warning. The "Allow" popup is a real pain so the entire feature has to be disabled. Like I said, what's the point of having this feature.

Firefox - Please provide an exception list for Redirect warnings.

Starting about a week ago, seemingly at random tabs will open on their own. They always try connecting to the URL mentioned in the title. Now, this obviously won't resolve because that isn't a valid URL. This only seems to happen when firefox is already open, and isn't affected by running firefox in safe mode. I've ran some scans and haven't found anything, I've been through my startup processes and nothing is amiss there either. I feel I should also mention that this is only happening in firefox, I've left Internet Explorer open for a few hours to see if anything would happen and nothing did. Funnily enough it's just happened in the time it's taken me to type all of this out. That's about all I can think to add. I hope someone can get to the bottom of this.

Session Restore is blank. After restart of computer. I know I had to many tabs. How to restore back to was? Other times also computer crashes inmedant shut off when I scroll with the mouse some times with to many tabs on page. Just leaves the power fan on. My computer ram is 704 mb. The older tab history is in the trouble shooting information I notice here. Can that be used to restore also?

Seems that my Video Download Helper as well as Download Flash and Video add-ons on my PC have suddenly stopped working this past week (Jan 2014). Did Youtube suddenly block downloading of *ALL* their videos? I knew they stopped VEVO vids from downloading a while back, but the regular FLV and MP4 videos just all of a sudden stopped appearing in VDH's and DF&V's menus about a week ago. The icons for each of them up in my toolbar also stopped lighting up when the videos play on screen, like neither program can detect the videos anymore to download them. I looked thru the topics listed here on this help site as well as Google Search and there's nothing about Youtube/Google blocking the downloads, only some mention that Youtube might be about to institute a system where you have to start paying to save their videos a year ago. Does anyone know for sure? I'm using FF 26 with the latest versions of both downloading programs (installed back in November). Videos were downloading fine until about a week ago. Thanks.

WOW long time Mozilla Firefox user, but new update just keeps getting better and better ( NOT!) It took away my icons bookmarks etc, and started giving me forbidden access errors for websites and would not let me open sponsor links in Amazon, and would not let me re- download updated yahoo tool bar, and I could go on and on, but the point is: this was NOT beta version, its the real deal and all it is ends up being more trouble than its worth! WHY oh WHY must Mozilla update and yet make it all worse for it's users? I spent hours trying to find work arounds, etc, and finally have been forced to go back uninstall it and install the Mozilla 35 version that might not be perfect, but it works and so does all my stuff work in it. The other thing, I do the syncing, but that does not help get anything back and I do the mozbackup ( software program) but it would not fix the issues Mozilla firefox 36 has.

So I guess like many others, I will have to wait around till its been out awhile and see if same issues, then go back to 35 if all else fails. This is why I stayed so long on FF 17 or 19 anything to keep from updating, but I know I know, its about security blahblah blah... so i finally break down and update, but always always always to my dismay it takes me hours to get things back or get them right or lose them altogether frankly I wish there would be no final update until testing is really done, i know you can't help what add on's etc we have as there are so many, but beyond those crashes or not working add on situations, there are problems with this update ( and so many of them) so can you please fix them before you put this stuff out there for us to use???

I have noticed symptoms of Malware / Adware within my Firefox browser. It seems to spontaneously open a tab telling me I need to download software with text "Video Update Recommended".

There are 2 webpage links that are effectively pointing me to update my video software. These appear spontaneously.

Searching on both yields indications of being infected on some level. I tried doing my Symantec check and it came up with nothing.

Here is a screenshot of the page I get:

The install link points to: http://ttb.dllultimatesoft.com/download..

I have also tried malwarebytes, Microsoft Security Essentials and adware. However, it persists. It may not be linked to Grooveshark, but I notice it seems to appear while listening to Grooveshark.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

BTW, adware reports my prefs.js file as a virus. It has been removed a couple of times and still sees it as virus. I reset Firefox. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled. Didn't make a difference.

thanks, John
