Within the last few days I have noticed that video on every single website is constantly playing poorly. The motion is perpetually jerky, stilted, and choppy EXCEPT when I play the video in full screen and then it plays perfectly. Also, only the visual portion of the videos are affected, not the audio. This problem only exists for me on Firefox. I have tried other browsers where the same videos played without issue.

I have tried re-installing Flash, turning off hardware acceleration, changing refresh rates, and a host of other fixes I have found online via Google searches. I have never experienced this issue before and was dismayed when nearly every situation even remotely like this that I found was dated to last year or earlier as I had presumed that others may currently having the same issue.

I have not added any new add-ons or plug-ins recently to my knowledge and I am the only one to use this computer (MBP). Any recent changes would be attributed to various updates that would have happened as I make sure that all things are kept up to date as much as possible. I would really rather not have to use Safari every time I wish to watch a video online.

using firefox i constantly get a crash report about norton internet security BF plug in. Please advise how to stop this. I have just uninstalled-reinstalled firefox after advice from norton but this didnt work. I have version 29.0.1. My norton is norton interent security for mac 5 version 5.6 (25)

I'm trying to change the search engine tool on Firefox to ixquick. I go to the search engine manager and go to add a new search engine. I search for ixquick and click 'add to firefox' then it comes up with a pop up asking for confirmation, i tick the box saying 'start using right away.'

Not only does it not come up in the search bar, but even when i visit the search engine manager, ixquick is nowhere to be seen.

Also, in preferences I've been trying to change my homepage, but whenever i restart firefox, it changes back to a website called 'MyStart.' the search engine tool also changes back to 'MyStart'

This is very annoying any help would be greatly appreciated.

I registered for Sync on May 2, received the verification email from Firefox Accounts <verification@accounts.firefox.com> on that day, and immediately verified. But ever since, I have not been able to log in and when I asked to reset password, I was told that there is no record of my email address--the same address at which I received the "Verify your account" email.

I've seen similar posts, but none that are exactly like the problem I am experiencing. Since updating to FF27 (I'm on a MBP with OSX 10.7), I will go to a page and am unable to scroll down for a short amount of time. Usually it's about 3-5 seconds, and then the 2 finger scroll functionality kicks back in. It's not choppy, just delayed. It seems to happen more on pages with many images on it. I would assume that it had to do with the loading of the images, however, it will happen if I hit the back button to a page that is already cached. I really don't want to switch to a different browser, I've been a dedicated user of Firefox since 2004 and would really like to keep this relationship going : )

I am trying to load my banking login page (https://ib.nab.com.au/nabib/index.jsp) but it won't load in firefox without the main banking page open (http://www.nab.com.au). I assume there is some sort of security in place which is causing this. I am able to load the login page only without having the main page open in safari which shows it is possible.

I have forced the login screen to open in a new tab (changed setting for browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction to 0 in about:config), it previously opened in a new window.

I am using firefox 29.0.1 on a Macbook Air (OS X Lion 10.7.5).

I tried disabling all browser extensions as well to see if that changed anything but it didn't.

I would like to keep using firefox but at the moment safari is easier to use. Is there any way around this in firefox so I can go straight to the login page from my bookmark without having to go via the main banking page?

I had safari before, now have firefox.....firefox will only let me put photos from e-mails into "downloads". I want them in iPhoto, but they will not go from firefox nor from downloads now....unless I switch back to safari and safari is extremely slow and sometimes does not work at all.  ????????

Firefox 40.0.2 for Mac says that it can not install a security patch because my account does not have permission. I only have one account on my Mac, and it is authorized to install software. Firefox said to contact my System Administrator, but I do not have a System Administrator account. I recently replaced the hard drive on my MacBook laptop, and I went to an Apple Store to get an O/S installed. I have O/S 10.7.5.

I have been unable to clear the cache for several months now - I click on 'clear cache' in Preferences, & it just reduces by 1MB. I've read this thread which has the same problem - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1114674 - but the solution here is just to click 'clear cache' twice - this does not work for me; I've clicked it twice, 3 times, 4 times - it still will not clear. Can anyone please tell me how to fix this bug? Firefox is constantly freezing and working slowly & I think the full cache may be part of this. Thanks

I use MacBook Pro laptop with 10.7.5 OSX (Lion). A few days I have strange problem: My internet connections works well with any "https" sites but doesn't work with any "http" sites. When I try reach any HTTP sites I got immediately 324 Errors message(err_empty_response). Do you have any idea what's happen?

I'm on a Mac desktop. For years, Firefox is my search engine, but suddenly, if I'm searching for a 2nd or 3rd topic on the internet, it's no longer on Firefox - it's on Yahoo. Yahoo seems abysmal and doesn't provide a quality search. I just Googled and tried to follow some instructions, to remove add ons and turn Firefox on in "safe" mode. That didn't help - I still was pushed into Yahoo once I'd done my initial search on Firefox. I don't want to waste my time. Help! Thx.

This problem been reported for a long time, and the latest Firefox update didn't cure it. As mentioned in many reports, other browsers do not have this problem.

There is no need to consider the details of my browsers and operating systems.

I updated to the newest version of FIREFOX and now my NETFLIX won't play, YOUTUBE videos will not play. I was one of the people that donated to you this year, this is not working out very well for me. Why is this happening and how are you guys solving this?

For years I've used Firefox and the AllAboutBirds.com website with no trouble. A few weeks ago Firefox started freezing up whenever I used the website. The website is for bird identification and has videos, sound clips, comparative photos, etc. FIrefox usually doesn't freeze up immediately when the website opens, only after I've clicked a link or two -- but it doesn't seem to matter which links. I just updated Adobe Flash and that does not help. As noted above, I can use the website with Safari, but I prefer to use Firefox. This does not happen on any other website I've visited.

When I search my Inbox it returns this message: "There are no matches for your search criteria. Clear the results of this search." Yet when I use my iPhone it returns all prior messages from the person. What is going on? Thanks!

I have been browsing madhungrywoman.com for years. With Firefox 34.0 on OSx, suddenly, I get a Yahoo search page for "http://use.typekit.net/mwy8sve.js" when I try to open it. I have tried Firefox safe mode, with the same Yahoo search page. Everything works as expected with Safari, Opera and Chrome.
