I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

Firefox v90 on a Mac. Continual nag screen popping up telling of an update. None of the solutions presented by top contributors or moderators work. Nothing obvious or suggested in about:config. Nothing about putting policies in .json files in the correct directory.

It is as if Mozilla refuses to let you turn off that nag screen.

Systems: MacMini (2018) running Mojave 10.14.6 Windows 10 Pro v20H2, build 19042.1165, experience pack 120.2212.3530.0

Ever since FF v89 when I go into FF Settings in either system none of the options I have selected display an 'X' in that option's checkbox. In previous versions when I clicked in an option's checkbox an 'X' would appear and disappear when clicked again.

No more.

I've tried changing the theme to Dark, Light, System . . . no change to this issue in either my Mac or pc: I cannot see an 'X' in any option's checkbox in FF Settings.

Please see attached screenshots. They are with "Dark" theme, but its the same no matter what theme I choose.

How to get my Settings choices to show that I have checked off this or that option?

On Startup: - "Open previous windows and tabs." Yes, I have this checked, but it ain't actually doing it. What's the solution?

True or False? If this box is checked I can quit Firefox altogether which tabs still open, and those same tabs will automatically load again upon reopening Firefox.

Is it possible for Firefox to implement an easy and accessible profile manager just like Chrome rather than going through about:profiles?

I am using containers but need to separate work and personal workspace. Some of domains are overlapped like Google and Microsoft services. so separating by domains cannot work.

One of the latest FF updates broke my workflow. (https://xkcd.com/1172/) I'm using the browser in full-screen mode all the time (13" doesn't provide that much of vertical space), and now it shots down every time I tap ESC — which, as you may imagine, I do a lot. Don't like being that guy, but this _really_ breaks the flow. Could you tell, is it 1) intentional change; 2) and configurable behavior. What can I do to revert this particular thing?

Apparently Mozilla disabled FVD speed dial for all users today. My speed dials were my link to business stuff I need.

Can anyone help me restore the dials or somehow transfer them so that I can find them again?

Got the "new & improved" version 93, and it doesn't seem so improved. I can barely write this, as it keeps stopping and starting, and acts like we're underwater! It's using about 15GBs of RAM, and while I still have plenty on-hand, it's barely functioning! Come one, what's going on, will this browser ever just work?

I wrote in about an hour ago, but clicking Submit resulted in a blank page - no acknowledgement or notice from you in email since. Pls forgive if you get this twice.

I was clearing Recent History when FF crashed and lost many important open tabs. This happened with V. 93.

I back up daily with Time Machine. I'm wondering if there's a file in Application Support or elsewhere it can restore to bring the tabs back?

My speed dial disappeared today. I have business logins saved by speed dial so I am a bit desperate. I have restarted both firefox and the computer. I think I was not home when speed dial disappeared. I dont understand computers very well, I have mac OS 11.2.3. I don't know whether firefox was updated without my knowledge today. I have time machine and regular backups.
