I recently removed the Stylish add-on from my browser. However I might have disabled it some time ago (I can't exactly recall) and I couldn't tell at the moment because I had just got the newest update.

Is there any file I can open to see a record/timeline or allow me to see what add-ons I disabled and when? Or anything else I could use?

Thanks.

I want to see Firefox in the browser box, not GOOGLE. I don't want to see Google anyplace but as a choice to use for a web search next to Yahoo and a bunch of others, as it's always been. I've found out from past experience that when you give Google an inch it takes way more than a mile. I hate Google, don't trust it. I know it can provide all kinds of good things, but then when you hook up with it, that's when it pulls the rug out from under you. Never, ever trust Google. Google is evil. They remind me of the drug pusher on the school ground. Look what they did to Google images -- took them away. Also, my server (Spectrum) provides me with McAfee antivirus, but my computer shop told me that the computer would not allow Microsoft downloads with McAfee and so they installed Avast. Avast is annoying, always trying to get me to sign up and pay a lot. I'm wondering if the problem with McAfee is not caused by giving Google so much power over my browser and web searches. BTW, I'm not even sure what the difference is between a browser (like Firefox) and a search engine like Google, Yahoo etc. I just know that I like seeing Firefox in the browser box, and NOT GOOGLE. Somebody please rescue me from Google!

I have cleared history several times in Firefox, but it obviously hasn't cleared history because I can bring up previously visited pages in the search bar. Is anybody aware of laws that Mozilla may be in breach of in the case that it's misleading consumers. It certainly claims to clear ALL data, including search and browsing history. I'm sure it's claims are false and misleading.

Been away from computer for quite a while, and, being a rather novice at "changing" things on the computer coupled with the fact I'm older than MOST of you nice folks, I need an easy, quick(if possible), and not too technical way to make the bookmarks sidebar a different color as my sight is limited at times. Right now the bookmarks have a white background and grey letters which make it hard to see where the bar that highlights the actual bookmark is...is that clear...? When you scroll down the list there is a VERY light grey bar that supposed to show you the current bookmark in use, but there is not enough contrast with the present colors to be easily visible.

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated. I've tried doing searches all over, but most of them are out of date. I am running the very latest ver. of FF with the only add-ons being a Star Wars theme and Ad-Block and Bitwarden.

Kind Regards, unclepine

Certain attachments on some emails, including graphics, etc. don't show up at all in Firefox, but appear with no problem in Chrome and Safari. I have already cleared cookies and cache numerous times. This is from a newly downloaded current version of Firefox, without any intentional add-ons or extensions.

There is a video embedded in this webpage http://slippedisc.com/2018/08/what-moscows-new-concert-hall-sounds-like/#comment-475204 that doesn't display in Firefox but does display in MS Edge.

NOTE: This is just one example of the problem. It is most notable on the slippedisc.com website.

A similar problem happens on this website https://www.diynetwork.com/ultimate-retreat/sweepstakes?nl=R-DIY:UR2018_2018-08-24_Enter-DIY&bid=14256743&c32=ee510e44c646c5d1116f9d8f9c6fefac5560bd00&ssid=2016_HGTV_Dream_Home_2016_Wildfire&sni_by=1946&sni_gn=Male

There is a Radio Button that says "ENTER", Clicking on it does nothing. It works in MS Edge.

I have checked her browser against mine (downloaded latest version of the browser from the site last week, after a total hard drive replacement) and the settings seem the same on ll side menu items. She is getting this notice virtually every time she opens a browser page or visits a site.

Firefox is her default browser. Her laptop is running Windows 7.

She is getting extremely upset over this.

I've been using Firefox basically ever since it came out after Netscape died. It was a simple and flexible browser that promoted itself on the basis of respecting users and working hard to meet their expectations.

Now, Firefox has broken most of the extensions I used with their Quantum crap and there is no hint of a backtrack despite widespread complaints and, I assume, mass exodus. The browser constantly nags users with bogus security warnings to the point its almost unusable depending on the website you visit -- of course, safe ones that have been opened forever with no issue. Now there's no option to disable javascript in the settings, being that js is a major security risk and many people might want to turn it off. All told, numerous cases of making life harder to users.

Now, as if it weren't enough, Firefox is keeping my browsing history when I'm in a private window! Not only the URLs get saved on the address bar but the sites are also prominently displayed in the Highlights whenever a new window is opened! Congratulations on potentially ruining a bunch of marriages and causing all sorts of other problems to people who naively trusted Firefox to keep their private browsing... private!

Goodbye, Firefox, I'm leaving to Opera until you guys get your shit together (hint: It starts by listening to users) if you ever do. I advise everyone to do the same both to get rid of this train wreck of a browser and to protect your privacy. Unfortunately, the likely reaction from the developers will be that they are stubbornly right because they know what is best for us, even if everyone tells them otherwise. Enjoy the view from your ivory tower before it crumbles to the ground, suckers!

PS.: The image upload thingy won't stop spinning and there's no indication the file was received despite my traffic monitor indicating the upload is done, once again showing how Mozilla systems are going downhill fast. So I changed the screenshot I was going to send to illustrate the privacy snafu to one that more closely reflects my feelings. I do hope it gets there and is seem by all developers.

The default font size in Thunderbird menus, etc. is painfully unreadably small. Trying to impose a readable font and readable font size using the following user css makes the text overlap because the lines are still too narrow:

@namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);

/* Global UI font */

  • { font-family: Andika !important; }
  • { font-size: 16pt !important; }

Is there a hack to make the lines wider, so text will not overlap text?

It's okay, because I can still use a version of Firefox that actually works. I just don't get it. I thought you guys would be better than, google, yahoo, microsoft, and yet, you're no better than they are, constantly fixing things that aren't even broken.

If I came out with an operating system, or a web browser, or a website, and I wanted to make a change, I would do at least 6 months MINIMUM of gathering survey information, and see what the people think. AND, if people feel the need for a change, I would make that change BUT, I would also give them the option to switch back to the old version, and I would NEVER EVER take that option away. Unlike, youtube and yahoo have.

Your so called "new and improved" quantum, is junk. I don't use it, I hate it, it's worthless to me. I use an old version that still works with ALL OF MY PLUGINS AND ADD-ONS. So yea, thanks for that devs. Thanks. Just like Skype, I use an old version that works. All of this supposedly "new and improved" junk, is literally, junk.

See, I come from the days of DOS, when things worked flawlessly. We didn't have Windows, yet, thank god, and life was great. I have ZERO plans to use winjunk 10. I'm on 7 and staying with 7. Why? Because, I've got the options to customize windows how I want it to look, and I can set how I want my updates to come in. If I want classic windows, I can do that, ahhhh can't do that in 10 now can ya?? Yea, cause microjunk took that feature away. AND, I dislike it when a company is being shady, especially when they try to force my PC to make a change to a different OS. I was smart and avoided the entire thing.

TLDR: Well, you should probably read it, because I think it's important. Plus, I've read longer myself, being lazy isn't a luxury, and it's not that hard to read.
