After the 90.0.2 update, the bookmarks menu no longer scrolls with the center wheel of my mouse. The center wheel scrolls properly in my emails, on webpages, everywhere else but the in the bookmarks. I have to use the up or down arrows to scroll through them, and it's a royal pain because I have so many bookmarks.

(Sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language) Hello, it's been many months that I have a problem with automatic scrolling Firefox Maintain pressure on the mouse wheel can slide in all directions of the web page, very useful for long pages and also for very high resolution pictures.

Off for several release (from 40.0.0 I think but not certainty), scrolling stops and / or is extremely slow and choppy until the page is not fully charged. This is all the more painful if we wait for loading a heavy image on a slow site.

I tested with the Firefox Safe Mode and it changes nothing. Disable graphics acceleration nor solves this defect. Test a new blank profile ... Remove and reinstall Firefox ... Namely I met no automatic scrolling problem on Internet Explorer or Chrome.

As I visit large high resolution photo galleries, is often sucks having to wait finish loading before dragging on the page with the pressed wheel. I leave then your knowledge to help me determine the source of this defect.

P.S. Windows 7 x64 with ATI HD7870 2go

I have been chatting on a couple of sites based on 123 Flash Chat software. During the last week, I have been unable to scroll in any direction while in these sites. All of the other functions in the rooms work fine. I completely nuked Flash Player and reinstalled it - the problem is still there. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem?? It is really annoying to have to use the scroll bar instead of the mouse if I miss something.

I am on a Mac Pro running OS 10.10.2. Flash Player is up to date. Firefox is version 37.0.1. I am using the same extensions that I have always used - AdBlockPlus, Facebook Purity, Classic Theme Restorer, and FlashBlock (the chat sites are in the white list for this extension).

If anyone has any ideas, your input will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. One other problem is that when I try to use a keyboard shortcut when I am in one of the two chat windows to open a new window, it does nothing. If I go to another website window, the keyboard shortcut works just fine.

There appears to be a bug in Firefox when I use this website, https://www.ourguide.com.au/tv_guide.php?r=melbourne&w=now

When you scroll down, the headings move right and show above the wrong information, see attached screen shots.

If you use this website on Chrome, you don't get the scroll issue so I think it is either a Firefox bug or something that needs changing in my Firefox settings.

I am running Firefox 77.0.1 (64-bit).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

On many pages (commercial), when I click a link to look at another page, clicking the "Go Back One Page" button results in the original page scrolling down a varying amount.

For example, I visit CNN.com. I then select an article I want to read. When reading is complete I press the "Back" button, which returns me to the original page, but also scrolls that original page, sometimes just a few lines, but also sometimes to the very bottom of the page.

This only happens on the newest (66.0) version of Firefox upgraded yesterday. It does not happen with other browsers. It does happen with Firefox started in safe mode. I also checked the carat (^) scroll in "Options" and this was not selected.

This also happens whether I use the Firefox Page Back Button, or the "Back" button on my mouse.

Thanks Doc

This is a problem connected with SCROLLING. There are three standard ways of scrolling , while surfing and looking through site pages: 1. Use the Mouse roller 2. Use the left click press on the mouse, simultaneously press and move the scroll bar 3. There are two Scroll bar junctions - one at top and other at base. The mouse left click button may be clicked - either in steps or on a continued click... to make the page move ... in steps or on a continuous movement.

The QUESTION here is: While we have this Last No.3 above facility in UBUNTU-Mate, such facility is not seen in UBUNTU, XUBUNTU, LUBUNTU, KUBUNTU etc. WHY?

Can we not have the same facility in the other OS too?

Hello,

How's it going, lads? :) I noticed a problem which I don't know if it existed earlier or not, but when I enter a big website, clicking the middle mouse button and trying to scroll while the page is loading is torture! I can only scroll normally after that spinning wheel stops.

(If you seem to not understand my description, just read the title again.) Seems like my question is almost empty, feel free to ask me for additional info.

I am using Firefox 38.0 on Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca. I am using an Asus R7240-2GD3-L (Radeon R7 240). When scrolling horizontally, I receive rendering issues as seen here:

http://imgur.com/a/4swwv

The example above is plain text with a fixed width and overflow: auto. The issue does not occur with vertical scrolling. It does not occur with horizontal scrolling on the browser window. The problem appears to be isolated to horizontal scrolling elements on the document itself. The issue is resolved roughly 1-2 seconds later after the mouse is released, when the rendering artifacts disappear and the text appears normal once more.

These rendering issues occur whether or not I have hardware acceleration enabled. They occur whether or not I have smooth scrolling enabled. They occur whether or not I have auto scroll enabled. My drivers are up to date. The issue is isolated to Firefox, as the horizontal scrolling on the same pages in other browsers (i.e. Chrome) works fine.

After updating this morning (I'm not sure if firefox was upgraded at this point) and restarting my computer firefox now exhibits a strange behavior. Every page I open it automatically scrolls through every scroll bar on the page. Thankfully most pages have only the one, down. However, if I get on a page with lots of iframes it will automatically scroll through each one of them in turn as well as scroll to the bottom of the page. I can't seem to interrupt this process until it's completed. Once it's done I can scroll back to the top, or correct any horizontal/vertical iframes and continue on as normal.

I've followed the instructions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems to no avail. I've opened firefox in windows as well and it doesn't seem to have this behavior. I've started in safe mode and it still does it. I manually turned off each plugin as well one by one and still, this problem persists.

Chase.com web site doesn't work well when I use Firefox (works fine with IE). I first log on to chase.com, then select "Show Activity" for my Sapphire credit card to look at recent transaction details. After I click in the "body" of the screen (i.e., not using the scroll/slider bar), when I then use the down-arrow button to try to scroll thru Transaction Details of my Chase Sapphire credit card account, when I release the down arrow key, the display always ends up at the very bottom, instead of stopping where I had positioned the cursor.

I'm using Firefox 41.0.1. I've submitted this complaint/fdbk several times thru Chase.com fdbk, but have seen ZERO response from Chase. Is there something I need to do in Firefox environment to resolve this nagging problem?

Ever since the new update(s) my FF gets laggy from time to time (scroll wise). It's like my FPS drops when trying to scroll through the pages. It happens randomly. Since the latest Firefox download, I'm having the occasional problem where a certain page will suddenly scroll to the bottom and all efforts to scroll back up prove unsuccessful. When I scroll using the mouse wheel in Firefox the pages don't move a persistent distance with each notch of the wheel - sometimes it's a few lines, then it's the entire length of the window, then a few lines, and then now and then the page will move in the opposite direction I'm scrolling. I tried disabling smooth scrolling which makes the pages bounce less, but it's still unpredictable whether it'll scroll a few lines or several paragraphs. The mouse is set to scroll 3 lines per notch and it works in every other program, just not in Firefox. I also still find that it tries to smooth scroll on some pages despite it being turned off. If I disable the notches in the wheel I can somewhat control the distance the page moves, but it's still bouncing. If I click the middle mouse button - which locks the mouse movement to the scroll bar, the page scrolls just like if I dragged the scroll bar elevator - smooth and exactly how much you'd expect (but a pita to use, not very accurate, and really bad for the wrist). Incidentally text boxes usually scroll correctly. It's just the web pages themselves that have issues.

This issue pops up every few versions of Firefox and then goes away with a later version, and I've yet to find a way to fix it myself - it just seems to go away eventually on its own - and it doesn't matter what I'm doing. It's even buggered in About:Config.

This time it came either with the Firefox 46 update or when I updated the video driver the other day. But it doesn't happen in any other program. Scrolling works perfectly normal in Thunderbird, Word, Windows Explorer, and anything else I've tried. Only Firefox is having issues.

I tried updating all the mouse related drivers, disabled smooth scrolling in the mouse driver, etc, but Firefox still acts weird. Also tried changing some suggested settings in about:config, but also makes no difference.
