bold textI am trying to access NJ state schedule vaccination appointment. Keep getting message that firefox will not allow me to access site. How to I change settings to do so.

Update came and I became furious that the pdfviewer is changed (I could write you a 300 page book why the forced UI and changes to user settings are terrible and hated everywhere). I would like to use the previous version (with the dark background), not this white version which burns out my eyes. I really hope that there is an option for this and only I could not find it.

P.s: I do not want to install any themes/plugins/whatevers to solve this problem, the previous Firefox pdf viewer did not need them.

Q: Does anyone know if Firefox has maybe re-instated pinch zoom functionality for Mac users?

Or if there is a decent work around available yet?

And if not, anyone have a good answer as to why Firefox overlooked it in their last major update? Seems rather shortsighted to me. Not being able to pinch zoom on my mac trackpad is highly frustrating. It's pretty much a deal breaker, making me want to migrate back to Chrome or elsewhere. Which is sad, because I thought I'd finally escaped Google for browsing.

Okay. I've got an issue with the spellchecker that seems to be a bug. I installed the dictionary, and made sure it was on. However it won't detect even things like gfhjrjdjd as being misspelled. It's really annoying. It doesn't seem to be able to detect text boxes - even this one. There is no option to enable it with right click.

I want to erase or preferably disable the "Recently Bookmarked" functionality when you go to the bookmarks part of the library. How do I do this? I don't see anything in the Support, despite doing searches using several different search terms. It is a strange thing to have without being able to erase it or disable it, especially since bookmarks saved during "private window" searches show up there.

I really hate Bing as a search engine. I set my home page to Google, but every time I open a tab my only choices are the Tab page or Blank page. I don't want either. I want to land on my chosen web site, in this case, Google.com. The previous versions of Firefox that I've had always allowed this. Please allow people to chose their own open tab page. Thanks!

Every day I spend lots of my time deleting over 60 spams, in my inbox. When I try to put in Spam it reads, not Spam as if they are controlling what I'm trying to do. I spend more time deleting than reading my email.. Very frustrating .

Ok guys, first I've been using this browser since it was called Netscape 1.0.

This is quite some time ago, right? But now level of suffering has become too high. I'm not writing 10 finger system. I've not studied computer science. (However a MINT subject.)

Nowadays at least weekly a website crashes, because I'm typing some unknown (to me) key combination, which causes the site to reload, Firefox to close, a new tab to be replaced, or whatsoever bullshit. And no way to switch off short cuts (at least as far as I have found out).

Even to get to this page was an odyssey. First set up an account, the confirmation code not accepted, a resend request omitted, finally some old password worked. On the way restart browser, as accidentially again I typed some key sequence, which killed the browser task....

I'll switch to edge or chrome, or whatsoever, because I'm really fed up. After over 25 years. Is that, what you wanted? The kids of 25 or below don't care about Mozilla! They even don't ask a single question about their browser (on Android - guess, what they use...). I know about of this, as I've got two of those here at home.

I'm not asking for help, since this already beyond scope. This is a farewell post. My mails are managed by Pegasus ever since and I'll return to Opera now, despite it is the Webkit engine. Netflix runs smoothly. Firefox and Netflix is a neverending vexation. I've been using Opera as well for over 20 years. They did a better job.

I have the download setting to "Always ask you where to save files". Unfortunately, Firefox keeps changing the setting back to the default. I understand that, unfortunately, whenever Firefox does an update it changes all my settings back to the defaults (but that's a different issue).

I have 'Firefox updates' set to only install when I okay the install. Unfortunately something is changing even when I have not run an update.

Why might my download settings be reverting back to the default setting?

I had a Firefox account under my old email address but I had been scammed, so I changed my email address and deleted the old one, without updating my sync first , so I lost all of my old bookmarks, and information from my old account.When I tried to recover the information you sent a conformation email to my old account , but it was returned to you so my account was locked. what can I do to recover the lost information?

see subject. constant updates request every time i boot up firefox. Either it updated or not. why not disclose if it crashed on update. or is this a constant ruse to scan my computer.

FF is nagging me to no end to upgrade, from 82.0.3 to whatever. I would prefer to just get rid of the nags if that is possible.

Short of that, the upgrades are NEVER as advertised and always blow up things that are never covered in the upgrade release notes. I get the impression these upgrades are poorly tested. The last site-specific video AutoPlay problem I had took two months to fix -- no thanks to FF support. But I got it fixed. That involved Engineer Buddys at Intel and the source code.

Here I'll ask the same old question and no doubt get the same canned response -- Are there any unexpected blow-ups I need to know about NOT covered in the release notes ? Of course the answer will be No, because the volunteers are not privy to the thinking and failures of the developers.

Let me be clear about this: When/if I upgrade (because the changes wrought in my modified browser will be blown out and I'll need to co-opt more help with that) is there anything extant that will not work ? Anything at all -- especially with respect to video AutoPlay features ?

Upgrade agony got way too old a long, long time ago with respect to settings I had tweaked and got blown out...

Can anyone help with this ?

Preferred solution: Shutdown the upgrade nags.

Hi, anyone facing firefox youtube 405 Error? i try all the method online (clear cache, disable extension, reinstall firefox) also cant fix it. Every time try login will prompt me 405 error. Any idea to fix it? Thanks
