Win7 64 bit Firefox20 Adobe flashplayer 11 plugin

when streaming, Task Manager notes:

Flashplayerplugin__11__7__700__169.exe *32 -- uses 50% of CPU and higher

plugin - container.exe*32 -- uses 40% of CPU and higher

Using 100% of CPU results in choppy video. I do not believe this heavy CPU use was not the case before I upgraded from Firefox13 and Adobe flashplayer 11. I tried downgrading but this did not seem to make a difference.

Thanks for any help.

I have reset Firefox. I have reset to blank and to Mozilla as default. I don't understand your instructions about malware (but is it???) resetting and too nervous in messing up my laptop to try ! :(

I now detest Delta Search and want it totally removed forever.

Nothing gets rid of it.

My browser freezes then I get the error about adobe crashing. This has been happening for a few months now. I've uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and adobe multiple times. I tried making a new profile for firefox also, but nothing has helped. This past week I have also been getting errors about the shockwave plugin crashing. I've tried malware removal, antivirus removal, but it's all coming back clean. I'm not sure what to do anymore.

Hi,

whenever i start a fresh Firefox Process and open Websites (example: g2play.net), Firefox will freeze for around 3 Minutes before the Website loads. This happens on a bunch of different Websites. Different browsers work fine (tried IE10).

What i have tried to fix this issue: - Disable all Addons - Disable Javascript - Start in Safe Mode - Clear all Files (Cache, Offline Data, everything) - Completely remove and install Firefox new - Create a new Windows user - Update all Drivers - Closing all the background programs i could close

Nothing fixed my Problem so far.

Computer Specs: Windows 7 64 bit SP1 updated to the newest versions AMD Phenom II x6 1100T - 6 core proccesor running at 3,30 GHZ noname 8 GB DDR 3 RAM ATI Radeon HD 5750 noname 2 TB Harddrive

Programs running in the background: Steam, Thunderbird, Avast, Winamp, Piclair, Brother ControlCenter3, Brother Status Monitor, Razer Lachesis 5600, AMD Vision Engine Control Center

I think (im not 100% sure on this) that the problem first appeared with Firefox 20.0.1. Also it only happens when loading that website for the first time, once its cached it doesn't hang anymore (i have my firefox set to clear the cache everytime the browser exits).

edit: it's not my connection, neither my DNS Server. I got a 100mbit connection running and i have tried to access the website directly over the IP but the problem still remains.

Been using Firefox for years and have never had this problem before. Recently upgraded to V 20.0.1 and since then Cut/Copy/Paste will not work. Have tried Resetting and have even tried a complete uninstall and reinstall neither has worked. Unfortunately I need to use these features on a daily basis and if I can't get this fixed I'm going to have to move on to anther browser.

Every time I turn my computer on, I click my Firefox icon in taskbar at bottom, BUT, not only does my homepage tab show up, but lately I have been seeing another tab showing up beside it called "New Tab" but it is Blank. I don't how it all of a sudden showed up, but I can't seem to get rid of it. I right click & "close tab", but I have to do this every time I turn on my computer. Isn't there a way to Permanently Remove this Tab so it doesn't keep showing up on my Tab Bar?

My problem lies with the about:home page.

when I click home, it goes to the firefox start page. I can't search anything there.

When I type something in, and press "Search" (the blue button), it doesn't do anything. If I use the address bar or the search beside it, it works, but it won't work on the about:home.

Any suggestions? I've added the troubleshooting information as well using the plugin

Hi,

I've been using Firefox for man years, on all my devices.

But since yesterday, on my main PC, Firefox crashes constantly.

It appears to be random, on various sites, at various times (ie 10 seconds after restarting, or 10 minutes after restarting).

I have tried:

- Resetting Firefox. - Reinstalling Firefox. - Disabling/re-enabling extensions or plugins (though I don't believe I updates any since yesterday when the crashing started).

It's really annoying, and I've had to use Chrome (gulp) today. :-(

Hi, all :)

Lately, I've been having a problem with some links: they become unclickable when zooming in(Ctrl + Mouse Wheel), but when doing some mild zooming out, it becomes clickable again.

Here are some screenshots I've taken, to make my problem clearer:

http://i.imgbox.com/adlB9NtJ.png As you can see, when zoomed in so it would fill the screen, the mouse cursor isn't detecting any hyperlink and clicking on it won't link me to the desired page.

http://i.imgbox.com/adyPwwFh.png In here, as you can see from the mouse cursor, after zooming out a little, it becomes clickable again.

I would really appreciate if anyone could offer any solution to this. Thanks.

PROBLEM SOLVED! This is so embarrassing, but here's what fixed it. I'll leave the question here in case others download the add-on and can't figure out why it's doing what it's doing, but if a mod wants to delete the question I won't mind.

Anyhow, I right clicked on exactly the right spot on the bar and chose Delete, which brought up the add-on tab, which showed an add-on called "Default Tab," restarted Firefox, and now both behaviors are gone--no more search window in the tab bar, and no more search box in new tabs. I must have thought Default Tabs sounded cool, but didn't expect it to do what it did.

********************************************************************************

Sometime between Friday and this morning a new search box¬ appeared in Firefox that called itself the “Updated Search Bar” until I tried it the first time. I’d like to avoid resetting Firefox, but if that’s the only way to fix this I guess I’ll have to. All suggestions are welcome.

The box looks much like the default search box except that it has a big orange button on the right saying "Search." It’s located in the tab bar, next to the last tab, taking up valuable real estate if I have more than 4 or 5 tabs open, which I often do. The default “search” is Bing, the other options are things like Facebook and Twitter, and it has no option to manage search engines. It doesn’t appear in my extensions or plugins, and I can’t find information about it anywhere.

BTW, my old search box is still in the navigation bar, and although I haven’t been able to get rid of Bing for the “search” search, I’ve made DuckDuckGo the default by moving it to the top of the list.

Thanks for reading!

I can provide a screenshot to help illustrate my problem. Every page I load has numerous ad boxes embedded into the page from "Ads by Browse to Save". Does anyone else have this problem? Is this something that firefox added to their browser or do I have a malware problem? (I see no option to post a screenshot of the problem, as is advised on the community help homepage. Maybe I will have that option once my question is posted.)

This has been going on for years. When I have 3 or 4 tabs, especially facebook open, and am watching a youtube video Firefox freezes up a lot. I just dealt with it but I'm starting to get sick of it. The only addons I use are DownloadHelper and AdBlock Plus. I have a lot of plugins disabled. I don't know what is causing this but I just checked on my CPU Usage and Firefox was using 266,000+ K and that's not counting Flash, which was using 70,000+ K. Someone please help me fix this extremely irritating issue.

I've been having trouble due, apparently, to a file named popuptransparent[dot]xul, of which I have 3 instances on my computer (running Win XP/Firefox latest v.). Using my AVG home-page window, I search for "popuptransparent" (to try to fix it) and the results appear OK. But then when I click, for a new tab, on the link "popup transparent" in the query, "Did you mean: popup transparent", NO RESULTS appear in that new tab. Further, when I then reload the AVG panel that searched for "popuptransparent" in the first place, it, too, now shows no results. Nor does a Google panel now show any results. They show the quantity of results but just white screens for the results themselves.

The links https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/948804?esab=a&as=aaq and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/952141?esab=a&as=aaq don't help me. I have re-installed Firefox v. 20.0.1 to no avail. How to fix it?

Should I delete from my computer all 3 of those [dot]xul instances?
