What the title says. Firefox just isn't playing any sound whatsoever.

Troubleshooting:

• Volume mixer indicates that Firefox is using my speakers, along with all other apps. When playing a YouTube video, the green bar is not bouncing. However, all other programs that play sound do so successfully and their green bars are bouncing (see attachment).

• Other web browsers play sound successfully.

• Restarting Firefox and my computer did not help.

• Switching the default sound device and changing back did not help.

• Changing to headphones made no change.

• Tabs are not muted.

• Autoplay settings in about:preferences showed that audio and video were disabled, however changing this setting to allow video and audio, then restarting both Firefox and the computer did not fix the problem. I have no idea how that setting was even changed to begin with. O_o

• Started Firefox in troubleshooting mode; still no sound.

• Started Firefox in a different profile; still no sound.

• Started Firefox in private mode; still no sound.

• Tried ending the audiodg.exe process in task manager and restarted; still no sound.

• Double checked media.autoplay.blocking_policy, was set to 0.

• Double checked media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground -- changed from true to false, restarted Firefox; still no sound.

• Disabled hardware acceleration; still no sound.

• Refreshed Firefox; still no sound.

• Complete uninstall, including the usage of BCUninstaller to uninstall "leftovers". Reinstalled. Still no sound.

I have Apollo installed on my computer and I've reached out to them before for similar issues, but the dev was insistent that Apollo does not cause sound issues. I'm somewhat sceptical, but they're not being helpful at all so I thought I'd ask here, and disclose usage of Apollo so that all bases are covered.

Just switched from PC to Mac and miss the Page Up, Page Down, Home and End buttons. Wondering if there's a Firefox addon or extension to add these functions to a Macbook. I've searched but not found anything. I know I can't be alone in wishing for this!

(I am aware of using "Fn" and the arrow keys on a Mac to do page up and page down, but they are opposite sides of the keyboard and require both hands to scroll by page.)

I reinstalled windows on my pc after syncing all my browser data (bookmarks etc) everything but some bookmarks, i have 4 folders and 2 of them had all that was in there and the other 2 where empty is it possible to get them back somehow?

Hello! I cannot edit our Weebly-hosted website. Firefox will not load the editor, apparently because of embedding issues.

I've tried a new tab, a new window, the private browser, and another browser, all with the same outcome, which leads me to believe that Firefox and Weebly need to have a discussion to fix this. I've also Weebly to the tracking exceptions, even though I don't think that's the issue here.

If, however, there is something I can do, please let me know.

I have multiple duplicate "Other Bookmarks" folders populating my "Bookmarks" folder. I can't seem to get rid of them. Any solutions? If I delete one folder will all be deleted? Windows 10, Firefox 140.0

In Windows 10 my Firefox Icon lists above the tasks all recent downloads which I do not want for security reasons. I have been deleting one at a time when shutting down. I don't want them there at all. Please help. Thanks

Hi there, I am facing a strange issue in latest version of Firefox after Win10 Fresh Install. The Audio is not working. Audio Drivers are ok. Able to play audio in media player and other browsers but not in firefox. Please help. Tried all settings like sound mixer , FF reinstall, audio drivers update. But same issue. Even video not started playing in youtube etc.

When navigating through video websites, the browser often becomes unresponsive and refreshes the interface. When accessing other websites, the browser tabs frequently experience crashes.

I have use the following type of code in the google appscript for downloading the html table as .pdf format but after update the Firefox browser the file unable to download but everything runs properly and the success message is appearing but the file is not downloading. Before, update the browser, the file was downloaded properly, please tell me how to resolve the problem. It's an URGENT. Please take necessary action at an earlier.

I received two work-related files, one in PDF format and one HTML, both of which display blank pages when opened in Firefox. I am able to open both files in Chrome with no problem. I've been using/opening similiar files on Firefox from the same source for many years with no problems, so this came up fairly recently. Please help.

I recently switched to a new laptop and signed in to Firefox Sync. Bookmarks and passwords restored fine, but tabs didn’t reopen. I had important pages saved from sites like medithrivehub.com for product research, and I really need them back.

Is there a way to recover synced tabs that didn’t show up automatically? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm trying to open pages in my old HP Mediasmart. I can access the NAS on my netwark but when I try to open most icon I get PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR.

I have my security software paused. Does this mean the NAS can't be used anymore?

I use Windows 10Pro, an Asus modem and I'm connect to the NAS by ethernet.

When I download Firefox initially I am able to set the home page the way I want with the shortcuts I use. After a few weeks the shortcuts disappear and the only way to get them back is to delete Firefox and reinstall. I am also not able to save bookmarks anymore. This has the same resolution methods.

This has happened 3 times already.

I am not sure if 'settings' is the correct category. I have a large sum of money waiting to be claimed at bitcoin. When I attempt to log into my account there, I get this:
