I updated to version 133 today and was confronted with the vertical tab bar. I did not ask for this or want it, and now I can't get rid of the side bar, in fact I seem to have just made it worse / wider. How can I get rid of this (and block it) It is just taling up space on my screen. Please help.

I know it may sound a bit strange, but I would like to know WHY an extension is not allowed in a private window, so I might understand the reason why I'm not able to diagnose an issue I'm having with fucking amazon who has their cart all over the place for a misconfiguration in firefox that either I did or an extension is causing, however I'm unable to figure out which because I can't enable extensions in private windows, where the issue does not happen, so I'm not able to reproduce and isolate the problem. Specifically, this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/extensions-private-browsing Plus, I was kinda expecting I could run STG in private too, since it offer such nice and rich grouping and memory management features vanilla FF does not (PS: please take inspiration and bake it inside!!) Since the update I've had a few issues, most I was able to fix but this one eludes me. Opening up various news sites I get the "Firefox prevented this page from reloading" error at the top and clicking allow does nothing. Anyone know how to get around this error? I'm not looking to totally disable the FF feature that prevents other pages from loading a different one, but just to browse the website after hitting 'allow'.

Hello, I did everything mentioned in support articles, but the tabs on firefox are still crashing frequently, sometimes the first I open, sometimes it's the third... But it is making my work really difficult. Every time I wake my computer up or start it, I get the attached error about a profile not being compatible. I did switch to the ESR release channel a while back, but I deleted the old profiles; the folder is gone and the profile manager shows only the ESR profile. I have also tried to prevent firefox from starting on startup, but it keeps happening. Does anyone know how to prevent this error from happening, or have any ideas of how to investigate what's going on further?

Recently, my bookmarks have disappeared (but leaving empty folders), reappeared, or reappeared but incompletely. (incompletely meaning not all showed up - alphabetically, only bookmarks beginning through letter "D." When I search bookmarks, the "missing ones" show-up in the results; they are just not visible in the toolbar. Similarly, if I try to add a new bookmark, it does not show. Help! thanks

There are 32 shortcuts on my home screen - 4 rows of 8 each. However, I accidentally "dismissed" one shortcut - now there are 31 total. I cannot figure out how to restore a shortcut. Is the solution in about:config (browser.newtabpage.pinned)?

For three weeks, whilst using Amazon on the Firefox desktop app, I cannot change Amazon search by "Featured" to "low to high price" It just changes back to "Featured" Works OK on Safari. I'm baffled! Help! Thanks in advance

Hello, how can I remove or hide "List all tabs" btn?

Set "browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled" as "false" stopped working for me after update to version 131.0. Hiding the btn before version 131.0 was not a problem.

I am on endeavourOS (linux). Whenever I try to upload images for a profile picture to sites like youtube or X, the image becomes corrupted and doesn't upload correctly. It did this with whatsapp too and I had to use a separate app for it. Other posts said that disabling "privacy.resistFingerprinting" would fix it, but it's already disabled.

Attached below are an example of this bug and the contents of this image when viewed on a text editor.

On several site there's a greyed out box top right, which disables anything it covers, can't be got rid of, and makes using Firefox for these sites impossible. Help, please?? Thank you! (I'm having to use Chrome...)

I just noticed that when I start writing in the Firefox URL bar there is a blinking straight bar that remains at the start. And if I click of somewhere else and then start writing again, the bar remains blinking at the start of the new text. I also don't have the straight line you get when moving left or right in the text using the arrow keys.

I couldn't capture the bar with a screen shot so I have edited the images to where the bar is when beginning typing, and then after I have clicked of the text bar and then entered it again and typed some more.

I stopped using Firefox because of the level of BS Big-TEch involvement and lack of PRIVACY. I've been using BRAVE. But they are'nt much better. So I'll switch between as I feel fit. Just so you know. My recent irritation is Shortcuts. I like the speed and convenience of CHOOSING & USING my shortcuts.

I do NOT like the option of "sites you save or VISIT" That is NO option. I DO not want YOU choosing to save every site I VISIT and loading onto my screen. This is not a choice. Just because I visit a site WHY do you save it to shortcuts? It's a PITA deleting crap I don't want.

You should ONLY save the sites I CHOOSE to add.

I know that typically mozilla does not put a low bound on advisories, and https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2024-40/ is the advisory for vulnerabilities fixed in ESR 128.2. CVE-2024-8387 is listed here. yet the advisory for 115, https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2024-41/ does not list this vulnerability. Was this something that was only impacting 128 (for the ESR builds) or is there a mistake that either 115.15 did patch it but it wasn't documented, or the patch has been missed and ESR 115 is still vulnerable?
