Mozilla VPN Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I am new to Mozilla VPN. Followed the instructions and made sure mozillavpn was allowed to communicate through Microsoft Firewall on both public and private networks. Double-checked in settings Windows 10 to make sure it had permission.

I am currently on a private (home) network. Mozilla VPN starts with message "masking connection and location". It then displays message "attempting to confirm connection". It pauses there for a couple of minutes before failing. In quick succession, I get a message about "disconnecting" then "unmasking".

Any suggestions?

Hi, I installed Mozilla VPN (basic version) on my iMac running Big Sur 11.5.2. When I went to try to "connect" with the VPN after it downloaded, it would not connect and I also could no longer connect to the internet via Firefox or Safari, even though my WiFi was actively connected (BTW - I also downloaded it to my iPhone and that's working fine.) I had to uninstall Mozilla VPN to get internet connectivity back. Is there a compatibility issue between Mozilla VPN and Big Sur? Or was it possibly a bad download?

mozilla android vpn 2.4.0 on samsung s8. app uninstalled anf reinstalled prob persists. get to Attempting to confirm connection and eventually times out happens in public wifi as well as my home wifi. my win10 desktop has no vpn issue on the home wifi. any suggestions??

Hello all.

My system updated to Windows 11. Initially, everything was fine. Now, the VPN will fail saying there is a background service error. I've tried manually starting the service and I get a path not found error. Has anyone else seen this? Have a fix? I'm assuming Microsoft either broke something, or is actively preventing this from operating.

Hoping it will get ironed out before the full release of Windows 11 but thought I'd ask here in case anyone had more info on the issue.

Just installed Mozilla VPN on MacBook Pro (M1 chip) and it froze, won't budge or uninstall ("the wheel" is not there), can't access internet on Firefox or other browser. What do I do to remove it and all its files so I can use Firefox, Safari, Google, or any other browser again?

According to this KB article and this Github Issue the 'App permission' feature should work on Linux but I can't find the option anywhere.

This morning I turned off my VPN and tried to connect to the internet and discovered that I couldn't access email or webpages even though my MacBook shows that I am connected to the local network. What is going on and how do I fix this?

I've tried uninstalling the VPN so many times I can't count. I've tried all the classic Mac ways (move to trash, then empty; look in the Contents Folder of the software; delete from within System Information) but it will not budge. Wtf.

Operating Windows 10 on a PC. VPN opens but on attempting to connect it says "Connecting" for a varying time then disconnects without ever having made the connection. I've tried various locations to no avail. Works fine on my Android phone going in on the VPN using the same IP. Have tried restarting.

When attempting to log into VPN service on IOS device, I receive a remote service error and rerouted back to Get Started screen.

Purchased subscription through my IOS device and the only recent change is installing the VPN on Win10 OS.

Attempted several solutions e.g. uninstalling reinstalling on IOS device. On Win10 machine, cleared web browser cache, uninstalling and reinstalling and the remote service error is still generated.

Any additional help would be greatly appreciated

When VPN is active, some URL's are not found or blocked when Mozilla VPN is active.

Windows 10, PC, Browser Firefox - all with newest Version

If I switch of VPN, the sites are found.

Hi! I have been using Mozilla VPN for a few weeks now. After a Windows Update, the VPN does not turn on. It suggests "Update recommended," but when the update is installed, there is no change; it still does not stay on, and it still says "Update recommended." Any clues? Thanks! Michael

If I use the toggle button in the VPN app to turn off VPN (as per here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/turn-on-mozilla-vpn-desktop-computer), Firefox won't connect to the internet. Restarting the Mac doesn't help.

Hi, I just bought a month of Mozillas VPN service to try it out and compare with what I've been using in the past. We're not off to a good start because as soon as I enable the VPN I loose all internet access.

I've checked the firewall settings and the VPN has the necassary permissions, I've tried to restart my PC just to make sure but still no luck. I also tried disableing the IPV6 protocol just in case it was causing some conflict but it made no difference. Frankly, I don't know what the cause could be here, I've never expirienced this with a VPN before. My internet works normally when the VPN is disconnected or when using another VPN however it will not work with any of the Mozilla VPN servers.

I've seen people having this issue before but there was either no answer or the reply did not help me hence I'm posting this my self. Some help/advice or instructions of what to do in this situation would be appriciated.

I just purchased , downloaded and installed the VPN. On the toolbar in FF, there is a little yellow icon which says Firefox Private Network is inactive. When I click it, it tells me to login to the VPN. I do so. It STILL says it is inactive. I keep trying help, etc, but nothing works.

Hi! I'm trying to get KDEConnect running again, and every time I enable MozillaVPN on both of my devices, KDEConnect drops off My phone calls my computer not reachable. KDEConnect works fine when The VPN is off. I'm running Linux Mint 20 MATE. I think it's got something to do with the instructions here https://userbase.kde.org/KDEConnect#Running_KDE_Connect_over_OpenVPN but I'm not having luck with understanding or implementing the advice as I'm not running MozillaVPN through OpenVPN (to my knowledge). How do I get them both to work at the same time? Thank you.

The disconnect only happens on the desktop computer. Samsung Phone, Microsoft Surface and Samsung All-in -One work fine.

Was this issue ever resolved? If so, where can I find the answer? Thanks.

About two weeks ago I noticed that when I turned on the VPN it would slow my internet speeds way down. Tonight I just tried to use it and I cannot even get a page to load when the vpn is on. I am trying to get the speedtest to load something I have done several times. I currently have a 1gig internet speed usual speeds of upwards of 800mbps without the vpn. Now I cannot even load the page. Need help or I am going to cancel. What good is a product you cannot use.
