Lockwise does not install on less than an Android 7.0 device. I have a firefox account that I use on my Android phones (Android 6.0), tablets (Android 4.3 and 5.0) and computers (linux and windows). If I want to keep them synced with Lockwise while using Firefox 70, this is a problem for ALL my Android devices. I don't have the cash to go buy new devices with new releases of Android (7.0 and above). An explanation of the design decision making that requires Android 7 and up would be helpful. I suspect some security features were added not in Android 6 and below, and coming up with a way to do it might be problematic. If Android 6 could be supported, it would be a real blessing.

There are no settings for sync-ing under preferences unless you first log in and sync. Sync settings just says "sign in."

How do I sync tabs or preferences without sync-ing passwords?

I believe there should be a Windows and a Linux version of lockwise for those who want ot use Firefox as their main password manager. Without that feature, it is hardly possible to consider Firefox as a main solution for password management.

Hello!

I am trying to setup my new phone and one of the first thing is to have Firefox Lockwise ready to access paswords.

The problems came when I logged in. I introduced my mail and password without problems and Lockwise said that sent a verification mail that never arrived. After some attempts Lockwise said that my account was locked because the confirmation mail was returned.

I can ensure that mail address is ok. Probably yesterday Google experiences some virus attack and the email service was unavailable.

Having said that, could you please unlock my account?? I really need it.

Thank you for your work!

I just installed the Android app on a Google Pixel 3a. I open the app and there is a "Getting Started" button. I tap this button and then I go to a screen with "Get Started" across the top. A spinner spins for a moment, and then I get a "500 Error" and nothing else displays.

I added Lockwise from google store but used the wrong e-mail address. Specifically I used a g mail address, which I have discontinued using. My preferred address is at Yahoo.com. on my Firefox Browser on my desktop machine.. I'm not used to smart phones, but wlil be traveling where I will need the addresses and pass words of my accounts to do business. Apparently, Lockwise would be the best solution to supply me with that information when I need it. But I can find no way to change thee current e-mail address for the product.

Hey there,

I've recently moved to Sailfish and since the Lastpass App doesn't appear to work there I wanted to try Firefox Lockwise. Maybe I just overlooked it but I can't find another way to install Lockwise than using the Google Play Store. And, to be fair I didn't switch to Sailfish just to connect it with my old Google account again. If there is a way, please tell me about it or even better, forward me a link. If not, well, I'll need to look for another PW-Manager.

Thank you in advance

Philipp

I am interested in Firefox Lockwise because I believe in Mozilla's overall philosophy to a free and privacy respecting internet.

However, the help pages are sparse on just how Mozilla and the Firefox team protects my data in transit and at rest. I want to know how secure my password data will be e.g., salted hashes, anonymizing my data and identities. It would be great to have redundancy just in case my primary password manager's company goes bankrupt or some other disaster happens which knocks out my service provider. They are very clear on how secure my data is and what steps are being taken to ensure said claims. I can make assumptions on the types of encryption both at rest and in transit, but to assume makes an ass out of "u" and me.

Also, what happens when an overreaching L/E entity or nation state requests a Lockwise user's data? What is handed over. Yes, I have checked the privacy policies that Mozilla has put out, but this question ties back to my first question. Are the logins and passwords recoverable by outside sources? Does Mozilla have access to the encryption key or build a back door into Lockwise? Again, none of this is addressed in the documentation. I get it, it's written by volunteers, but we are requesting better and greater transparency.

Lastly, I would be curious to know where the single points of failure lay within the Lockwise system and what steps Mozilla and the Lockwise dev team are taking to address these issues. And while we are at it, a project roadmap would be great. For instance, will Lockwise support encrypted note taking capability?

Hello,

Don't find the solution for my problem, so here I go :

FF version 84, Windows 10. I authorised FF to register id and passwords, enabled a general password. In the Options section concerning passwords, all cases are checked.

When I enter FF, the general password is asked before visiting a website. Ok. On the website to visit I enter id and password and enter the site. OK. When I visit the site again, I must enter id and password again .... When I go in Lockwise, no id or passwords are registered.

So I don't understand this. If anyone could help ... Thanks.
