It's very odd. Normally moving an email, say from the Inbox to the relevant year's archive, takes "no time at all".

Which is true for all the mailboxes shown on the attached screenshot, EXCEPT for the four at the bottom. Moving even one message from Inbox to Yiddish can take ten seconds or longer (with the dreaded "Not Responding" occasionally). Moving something in the opposite direction is also screwy, only from those four.

I had thought that it was because they're rather large. This first started when there were just Yiddish and MSW, and I split off most of the earlier years into the archives shown. To no avail.

It's only an annoyance, but I'm puzzled about how such a thing could happen.

Also very slow tagging or untagging a message just in those mailboxes.

My business has two domains. I can send email to a Gmail account holder using the primary domain with no issues. But amy emails from what I call the "secondary" domain below are treated as spam. This occurs with two different email addresses using the secondary domain.

Both domains are hosted with Bluehost. Exhaustive research has revealed the following:

• Settings in Thunderbird are exactly the same, e.g. ports, security, SSL/TLS, etc. for each domain.
• There is no subject line or content that could possibly be regarded as spam.
• MXToolbox indicates that the secondary domain is not on any blacklist.
• Extended support via Bluehost reveals that SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are all correct.
• Email sent to a Gmail account using the CPanel (Roundcube) is not flagged as spam. Only emails sent via Thunderbird are flagged.
• Emails sent to a Gmail account from the secondary domain using my mobile phone, but still on the same network/IP address, are not flagged as spam.
• If I first send an email to one of the secondary domain emails FROM Gmail, then reply to it, the reply is not flagged as spam.

After many hours of head scratching (and later, head banging), I am pretty much at my wit's end with this problem. I'm an electronic engineer but this one is definitely out of my wheelhouse. Any help would most certainly be appreciated!

So I am trying to create a rule that will delete emails on the server that are 360 days or older.

I know you can go into settings...

But from what I have read that only deletes emails on server from when they were downloaded into thunderbird.

I am new to thunderbird so that wont work for me.

So I went into message filter....thinking this would work

In the last month or 2, when I delete an email it does not show in the trash folder. I can wait from 5 minutes to even the next time I reboot my puter to finally see it it trash. Sometimes it sends it to the all mail or important folder instead of trash. And if I delete from there, it still takes tons of time to end up in the trash folder...if it even gets there. This seems to be getting worse by the day. I have clicked repair folder, no change, I have cleared Thunderbird's cache, no change. It's also now taking way too much time to load an email that contains a picture. This happens with at least 3 of these gmails. I'm at a loss here and extremely frustrated and about to change these gmails from imap to pop. win10 and TB is up to date. But it doesn't compact folders as much as it used to either. Any help appreciated

now i am getting mail but my dad and my brother both said they are sending mail and it says undeliverable I tried sending to my self and it came through I have Thunderbird through Comcast. i see mail in Comcast that is coming through so i do not know why. the only thing i could think of was they tried yesterday when the update was going through i received a mail at 7.15 this evening so i have no idea why it would bounce back did nothing to change anything

How can I stop Firefox from automatic granting sites cross-site cookie permissions (see screenshot)? The problem is that the cross-site cookie(s) granted for a site more often than not is completely unrelated to that site. This problem is very frustrating.

I have tried changing several settings in Tracking Protection but nothing has stopped Firefox from auto-granting these permissions. I have for example turned off "Fix major site issues (recommended)" but it has not changed this behavior.

Latest Stable Firefox, windows, over 4000 tabs. Overall Firefox works great for me. but when I restart it to install the latest versions etc, it only restores one active/loaded tab per window. Rest are restored, but in a closed/unloaded state. I usually have 5-20 open tabs per window, and hundreds more unloaded, it's how I work. How on earth can I get it to restore all the open/loaded tabs as they were, not in the unloaded state they default to?

Issue still occurs in a new install with no addons, default settings, under 30 tabs etc. Ditto Win 10 or 11.

Also, how on earth can I get official Mozzilla pages to use Dark Mode??

How can I change an IMAP server on an existing T-bird account after T-bird deleted the saved password and IMAP server for that account? I tried to change the IMAP server address for an existing T-bird account, but T-bird and/or my ISP deleted the saved password and IMAP server entry for that account, so T-bird cannot get incoming E-mails. I would like to add an/the IMAP server back to the account without deleting the account, adding all of its settings again, and waiting 6 hours for T-bird to re-download all of the most recent 10,000 messages in the Inbox and all of the 15,000 messages in other folders again. The SMTP server and its saved password are still in the Saved Passwords table.

In previous versions of FFox when a file was being downloaded, a file download window opened for each file. Is that feature completely gone or is there still a way to open a window for each file?

When I sort on correspondents, if, say, I have a message from Susan, messages from Tom, Dick, and Harry will appear in the sorted list under Susan's name. If I then sort under date, Susan's name will remain in the list for Tom, Dick, and Harry's messages, even though the individual headers give the correct name for each message. I noticed this a few days ago, and it's still happening. How do I stop this?

I have downloaded and installed Thunderbird Email on my computer.

I put in my name as requested. Enter my Gmail account and go through all the steps signing in only to get a message that there is an error and I cannot be signed in.

Extremely frustrating to not be able to use this app.

We use the Deepl site for translations and it won't load in Firefox without asking the "verify you are human" questions every single time. The Deeple site does not require this authentication in Chrome but we hate Chrome and want to stick with Firefox. We just have the standard security settings in Firefox, only use Windows Firewall and our Express VPN is not switched on; our IP location is showing correctly. Firefox is up to date.

When I save the bookmarks to the toolbar they work fine but when I close and reopen firefox they bookmarks don't work. They are there but inactive and do not work. How do I save bookmarks so they open everytime I open firefox?

Hi! I reached out on Friday and was sent a code that expired in 5 minutes, missed the deadline and had to leave the library. I updated Firefox to 155 and can't find my bookmarks. Also found that a Microsoft update included Goggle Chrome that I uninstalled. Please advise on getting my bookmarks back thank you. I only have 30 minutes left on line. I can no longer use outlook due to being a basic BT email account user. Thunderbird recognised my account. But now says can find server. It may be my password is wrong in outlook, but it is so long ago, I have no idea of my original password. I’m using the BT Mail app on my iPad and iPhone which works fine, but want my past and present emails on my laptop as well. I’m using windows 10. Any help??

Hello, I use the 32-bit portable 153;2 version of Thunderbird. But now when I label a message according to my list of labels by color, the selected message returns to its original color. Labeling no longer works, even though old messages retain their colors well. Thank you for your response. Ph. Costes

Help! All of my bookmarks, browsing history, and profile prior to Sept 4, 2026 have been erased. Firefox instructions for restoring these prior bookmarks do not work. When I access "manage bookmarks" then the "Library", then "import & backup & restore", there is nothing listed prior to Sept 4, 2026. So there is no file to choose. Also my prior profile has been erased. My profile is completely blank altho I did NOT create a new profile nor did I access my profile in any way!!!

Also the instructions for "restore bookmarks from backup" do not work either. I desperately need that browsing history and those bookmarks. I am doing research for an art history project & those bookmarks for the last two years were stored there & seemed securely in place for the last three years. I need those bookmarks & the browsing history which included sites I used but did not necessarily cite in my research.

My bookmarks included the sole documentation I had of my research for this project for the last two years!!! When Firefox said it would continue to support Windows 10, I had no reason to believe my entire browsing history and/or my previously secure bookmarks would be erased. Help me restore those bookmarks. dona bretherick
