I have had this problem in the past, but now its back again. At first I just reset my password every time, then I set up the password to be auto-filled. I have had no sign-in failures for months. At one point i did figure out how to check my sign in history to see the failed attempts, and there were none. That was a long time ago, and I have since forgotten how to check this. The problem does seem to be with firefox as it does not happen with chrome.

After many years of using Firefox and then trying other browsers I decided to stick with Firefox now, and immediately I encounter a persistent flaw.

Mainly I browse on chess.com, I mention this because there the thing occurs and I can imagine it is quite a 'complicated' website. Stick with me. I administrate clubs and play chess there so open pages regularly, in new tabs, still generally only three simultaneously.

Every 1 in 5 times the page just gets stuck loading. Only parts appear and the little refresh icon up there doesn't show because the X stays (the one to stop loading the page). This is quite annoying. Simply by refreshing it immediately loads properly. But it is ridiculous to keep having to press F5 every couple of minutes before one can get on. As I also used Beta channel on my win11 machine I figured maybe it's that but after several updates it persisted. Now I am using the Normal channel and a Linux Mint OS and exactly the same keeps happening. I have tried a dozen remedies. Like adding an exception to the enhanced tracking in Firefox and several others and nothing fixed this. Does anyone knows how this happens?

And will Mozilla fix this? Or is it completely at the bottom of priorities because it is site specific?

Thanks for any replies (OS most recent Linux Mint Cinnamon. browser version mint-001 1.0 firefox 147.2) (Happened on Windows 11, Firefox Beta as well)

Hi,

I'm experiencing an issue with Firefox caching a JSON file.

My website uses a JSON file to display dynamic values. After updating the JSON file on the server, Chrome, Edge, and other browsers immediately show the latest data, but Firefox continues to display the old values even after refreshing the page.

I have tried: - Hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R) - Clearing Firefox cache - Private Browsing mode - Confirmed the JSON file is updated on the server - Verified that Chrome and Edge display the latest values

The JSON file is requested using JavaScript from my website: Main issue on this page: https://bloxvalues.net/blox-fruits-value-calculator/ and other individul item pages too.

Could Firefox be aggressively caching the JSON file, or is there a cache-related setting or HTTP header I should check? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you. Qaamar

Dear Mozilla,

As a long-time Firefox user and evangelist, it saddens me that the time has come to part ways.

I have seen threads from others commenting on Firefox's aggressive memory consumption and retention. I have not measured this and thus do not feel qualified to comment, but, sadly, I am not surprised.

My own experience in recent times highlights 2 events that have driven me here.

1) Several websites just not responding in that some screens will not even scroll. This is fixed by me moving to a different browser.

2) More seriously - When trying to fill in a web form for a work job application the page was completely unresponsive. When I contacted the web site support their answer was: "Are you using Firefox? Ah, Yes, we are having issues with Firefox that we are trying to resolve. Our suggestion for the time being is, if practical, try using a different browser". That answer worked.

I should add that the usual cache clearing, machine restarts, even Firefox reinstall did nothing to fix either of the above issues.

So with the serious memory greed issues reported by others and my own (dys)functional experiences, I fear the time has come.

Thank you for the last 30 years or so and I am sorry it has come to this.

Best of luck in your future endeavours.

BTW - This post was entered using a different browser.

This is in response to an email sent to me today June 27, 2026, with authorization code (111081). I just purchased a new PC desktop in May of this year. The problem I'm having with Firefox web browser is every time I use your browser the statement comes across the top of the page that windows browsers are no longer supporting (windows 10). My computer is a (windows 11), and there are other websites that I go to that are blocking me from using their site because it. Additionally, I am trying to setup a new email system via Proton email, which use VPN's that actually appear that someone else signing in from another location in order to keep their users safer. Also, I'm dealing with Comcast email system which they are in the process of deleting their (@comcast.net) accounts. I spoke the company that I purchased my computer from and they told me that I would need to get in touch with Firefox to get the windows 10 information off your website. I have copied the info for my computer below. I deleted my serial number because I didn't think you needed that. I actually spoke about having windows 11 in my last response to you all. Firefox used to be good but it's just becoming broken garbage. I just tried the Opera browser which lets you listen to youtube with the screen locked and tab minimalised. Something that used to function on Firefox but is now just another broken feature. Not to mention that for over a year now the comments haven't been loading on youtube videos, which I posted on here all the way back then and got no response. Time to put this useless garbage in the trash can...

I have been unable to log into my email provider from their home page https://mailbox.org/en/ using Firefox. There is a progressive web app that "goes with" Firefox (if that is the right term) and that does not seem to work either. I get blank screens. I have succeeded in logging into mailbox.org in Microsoft Edge and in Brave. Can you please give me any clues as to what settings or whatever I need to configure in Firefox to be able to log into mailbox.org ?

On Windows 10 Home I've been using Yahoo Finance to track stocks. After updating FF last week I have not been able to load graphs. I've tried refresh, reload, restart, remove cache but any graph shows "loading" or is blank content. Every idea except delete FF and reinstall. Other browsers I sometimes use do load the graphs no problem. What else can I try, or is this a bug? Thanks
