I am on release 140.12.1 esr and there appears to be no new updates available. If so, what release should I be on and can I just download and install to get back on the latest release

Been to various sites for diag info. I have uninstalled antivirus and tried it, no joy. I have done all the following to each folder - compess, repair, deleted old emails, etc. (I actually have rules that are to do this automatically). I have captured config info, uninstalled and installed fresh. Still have the problem. -- and finally restored so I still have email addresses, etc. etc. This problem has started for me with in the past 2 weeks.

1) ALSO note: I am running W11 home. Mozilla keeps calling this W10. I do not know what the difference is between Home and Pro, but I am planning to upgrade to PRO within 2 months (looking for a reasonable deal on the cost of the upgrade). 2) Wife's computer is W11 Pro, she does not have the problem.

Following some changes in our organization, we had to create new email addresses with new domain names. We have kept the old ones until now but we decided to erase some that had not received emails for a while.

Since we did that, we have encountered some problems regarding one of our computer. We can't send emails because Thunderbird is asking us for the passwords of the deleted email accounts. When we click on cancel, a window opens saying (roughly translated from French): "The email could not be sent. Authentification to the SMTP (outgoing server) failed. Please verify your password and the "Authentification method" in the "Account parameters | Outgoing server (SMTP) menu." The email was sent from a completely different email address than the one linked to the email account.

We deleted the accounts and cannot access this menu. Has it happened to anyone? What would be the solution to be able to send email again on that computer?

When Thunderbird "thinks" a message is Spam the spam option on the header is already grayed out, is it ok to delete it then and if it is learning what is spam, how come I continue to get spam email from the same senders?

Within the past day or so, which means 7-18-26 or later, some of my email messages on thunderbird for my pc have a "From" description that is not correct. I look at the messages, and the "From" is entirely different than the "From" description when looking at the email message list. I have never encountered this problem before. I'm using thunderbird 152.0.1 64-bit on my pc.

If Thunderbird startup is stopped before tabs are loaded, they are lost. The tab fields at the top of the screen remain but they are empty. Evidently, tabs are stored only in a temporary location. This is a very annoying bug. Is there a way to recover them?

I'm looking to customize the colour of the message header row (the part highlighted in red; with a black background as shown in the screenshot) to #202020, to match the rest of the elements of the view. While I've successfully managed to customize other elements (code below), I need help with identifying what to specify for the message header row.

In sending a new email, when I go to enter the "TO," various email choices pop-up - but not all are correct. How can I add and/or correct those popup choices?

BTW, I have a screenshot. How do I get it here?

very recently perhaps with a McAfee or Thunderbird update , I am seeing a message that McAfee stops a threat every time thunderbird does a message retrieval. see attachments. I have checked my outlook account directly and deleted a bunch of messages but it persists.

I find now that Thunderbird requires Earthlink's password each time an email is sent. Earlier it required it once a day. I am on Windows 11 using Earthlink.net for provider.

Changed our broadband provider on Friday from PlusNet to EE and, since then, have been unable to reply to emails on my Thunderbird Mozilla account. I am still receiving them but when I attempt to reply I get the message:

"Sending of the message failed.

An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <X@dolhun.co.uk> recipient rejected - relay denied. Please check the message recipient "X@dolhun.co.uk" and try again."

After being on the right side for decades, the Options button on the remote content box was moved to the left side. How does this improve accessibility for the average user? Is there a rational reason for doing so?

I can't find the "compose" button that used to be on the "home page" of my Thunderbird email. HELP! It shouldn't be so hard to perform a simple task but something has changed and I can't figure it out.

I am visually impaired and need to increase the font and make them clearer, but I can't find any help with that problem. I guess if you have problems seeing the page, there is nothing you can do to make it better.
