On startup, Firefox will restore my previous session if I had clicked Exit but not if I click the X.

I can restore my previous session via recently closed windows, but I don't want to have to do that.

Is this change intentional? Because I consider it a stupid change, and I would like to get rid of it if possible.

I have 4 rows of shortcuts that are being changed every time I visit a new site. How can I lock them in so they won't be changed and to keep them where I arrange them?

I recently added an entry to my hosts file but Firefox seems to ignore it. I'm using v. 128.5.1esr, fully updated. I've tried a lot of the advice online and none of it seems to work. Here's what I've tried:

disabled "Enable DNS over HTTPS Cleared the DNS Cache changed "Use system proxy settings" to "No proxy". tried troubleshooting mode set network.trr.exclude-etc-hosts to true changed browser.fixup.dns_first_for_single_words to true changed network.dns.offline-local to false restarted FF, rebooted computer

It doesn't work in Chrome either, which makes me wonder if it's a Windows 10 issue. Any suggestions?

Hello I do not know what I have done, or how I have managed to do this, but EVERY TIME I start up my Firefox it asks me for my Windows sign-in login details.

I have gone through as many pages within the Firefox settings will allow, and I am unable to find anything that indicates how to turn this option off.

All I am wanting to do is press the Firefox icon, and for Firefox to start up, WITHOUT Firefox asking me for my Windows security login details.

Anybody have an answer for this issue please? I'll GREATLY appreciate any fix recommended to me for this issue.

Hide some folders and then option to show all folders.

The folder section should have option to hide it and option to show all folders. etc. And also quicker link all profiles on the browser

I'm using Firefox 133 (64 bit) and just recently the down arrow on the right hand side is missing. I still have the up arrow. How do i get the down arrow back.

Firefox doesn't look or act anything like my firefox did before the most recent update. My Roboform extension/add-in is now not installed/active and I can't figure out a way to enable it. It shows up in the list of extensions as disabled, but there is no button or explanation for why it was disabled - even when I use the instructions on your help section.

Two questions: How do I get my Roboform and other extensions enabled?

How do I turn off auto update with Firefox? These kinds of change without notice are unaccesptable.

Is there any way to move the download thing to the bottom like it used to be in old Chrome? Just gave up on that PoS after 20+ years, it keeps being updated by windows 10, but I know nothing about Firefox.

    Also, is there a way to set it to auto open zip or rar files when I download them? That would bypass the problem of wanting to move that stupid tiny arrow.

Uninstalled Adblock, have looked in Extensions on Mozilla and its not showing, however, with another website I have just tried to access,error message saying I have Adblock installed when I havent. I've also put this website on the safe websites and not made any difference.

I can't see the download button on my Firefox settings. Where is the download button on Firefox? How can I download a picture or anything else into my phone using the Firefox browser?

So the desktop setting keeps being enabled when I'm searching something it's enabled and I can unable it but what I'm in an site it cannot be disabled in any kind of sight that I tried

How do I remove or permanently hide the sidebar? It is currently taking up too much of my screen space and I can already access my bookmarks without needing them to be accessible on the side. Please make a user friendly version that allows people to easily remove the sidebar. Customizing so that it still stays there is not helping.

Now it's completely impossible to open PDFs outside Firefox, as I could do until the last couple of beta versions.

This trend is going on since a few years ago, from bad to worst. The whole design of the PDFs download process is bad. PDFs should be treated by FF as any other file: download and open with the system default PDF viewer. Imposing Firefox's internal PDF viewer as mandatory for downloaded PDFs is nonsense.
