I can no longer send emails. I can send them through mail web browser and was in touch with their technical support and the problem is not on their end. The message I get when trying to send an email is: "Sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to outgoing server(SMTP) Promail.ptd.net failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing STMP connections. Please verify that your outgoing server (STMP) settings are correct and try again". I checked my outgoing server settings and they are correct. I started Thunderbird in Troubleshoot mode and the problem still occurs. I started my Windows 10 in Safe Mode and the problem still occurs.

When I'm composing an email, I only have 1 TO field. I can't see a way to create more than one TO field. I can get 1 CC field and 1 BCC field, but I can't get more than one of any of them. I used to be able to get more than 1. Where did this feature go? I am on the latest version 146.0.1 (64 bit) Thanks, Scuter

I get a notification that includes this message when I try setting up my outlook account and this prevents me from getting mail to my email in Thunderbird, not past or new emails show up and I can only view an empty inbox, contrasting my other emails which work perfectly fine.

When I try setting up my email It says my username or password is wrong when it isn't and when it input, and that I have to put in my login. I put my login in and it says my username and password are incorrect even though my login info is correct I don't know what's going on, the error info isn't very helpful.

I'm trying to send an email from one of my email addresses jazztone@sfr.fr,but the mail server responds the following: Sender address rejected, not owned by user bwidmer2@sfr.fr (which is my other email address). Can someone help,please?

I have a Signature setup and it works great on NEW Emails, however, if I click on reply to an email the signature is not there. I have the checkbox checked for "Include signature for replies" but it doesn't seem to work. I've tried unchecking it, restarting the app, re-checking it and restarting again, still doesn't work.

Some inbox entries cannot be deleted. When deletion is attempted the body text is removed but the Subject and Correspondent remain in the Inbox and the message is marked as unread. This seems to be mainly with email originating from Outlook. Tried restarting Thunderbird but no change. Is there a setting that might do this?

For the last two day when I start Thunderbird I get the message "The current operation on 'Inbox' did not succeed. The email server for account [edited]@herrinonline.net responded: expecting ")" instead of "(".

This is happening with all 4 email addresses I have. 3 on ionos and 1 on gmail.

I have checked all the settings for the Ionos webmail server and the Gmail server and they are correct. I have deleted of of the accounts and recreated it but still get the same message.

Attached is a capture of the actual error message. If I try to synch with any of the email addresses I get the same message for that email

Hello, I've been happily using Thunderbird for a few years now. Since yesterday, I have been unable to send emails in Thunderbird, but I can receive them. I can send emails directly through my Skymesh Webmail, but in Thunderbird when I try to send an email, I get the following notification, even if I am sending it to only one recipient. It seems that after updating to the latest version, Thunderbird is not displaying new emails. The numbers of new emails in the folders are changing, but the emails are not loading. I performed maintenance on the folder, but the emails disappeared and I no longer have any emails in my Inbox. I use IMAP, everything is OK on my phone and on the web. This is happening with Thunderbird at home and at work.

I've just installed Thunderbird on my computer, and I want to download my messages from the server to the hard drive on my computer and delete all but the most recent from the server. I have already installed Thunderbird, I just can't find out how to download the messages.

The last I was able to send an email from my laptop (W11 Home) was 5 days ago. I've made no changes in Thunderbird (140.6.0esr (64-bit)). I've checked with my ISP (PenTeleData - ptd.net) and all is ok. I checked with Norton (360 deluxe); turned off firewall temporarily and tried to send again. Still getting same message.

When I delete emails, they do disappear from Inbox or a folder that I have stuck them in. But as soon as I click on ALL MAIL, it starts downloading all 4,000 of them again. Do I have a setting wrong? I want them to delete completely - from gmail and from my instance of Thunderbird. I've gone through them all TWICE now and deleted them, just to have them reappear and it's driving me nuts.

Error message says user name not owned by me, but it is! How do I fix that to use my additional email address? Why would email from two separate domains be linked, especially when I made no changes to the account info?

I am trying to send an email to a recipient of a previously SENT email keeping the originally SENT email with it. In now defunct Windows Live Mail emailing software, I use to click on "Reply All" and remove my sending name from the 'send to' address. Is there a similar function in Thunderbird?

Hello, Mi 9 SE with MIUI 12.5.1 Android 11 RKQ1.200826.002 Thunderbird 10.0

I moved from K9 to Thunderbird some time ago without incident. In the last few days I realised I had received nothing and checked on my PC and indeed mails were waiting. I tried to send a test mail from the phone, the mail remained in the OUTBOX and I received the following error message :- "Failed to send some messages ErrnoException: connect failed: EACCES (permission denied)" I checked and this is an Android error and various articles I found that suggest necessary changes to the manifest which I am not capable to change; I am not a coder. I decided to save the configuration, delete and reinstall Thunderbird. After this and reapplying the passwords the waiting mails were delivered. I then tried to send a test message from the phone and again the same error was generated with the phone blocked again from sending or receiving.

I suspect that there was an upgrade applied with a changed manifest that broke the operation of Thunderbird with Android 11.

Can someone please verify this, it may be impacting many installations on older phones?

I recently installed Thunderbird on a new Windows 11 PC. I am using Thunderbird 128.11.0esr on another machine and it works properly. I attempted to clone my 128 setup onto the new machiine by copying the Profile folder without success. Some settings were transferred, enough so that the inbox was filling with my emails. I tried to send a message. It failed with the message: "Sending of the message failed The message could not be send because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com times out. Try again" As far as I can tell the SMPT server settings are exactly the same on the two setups: Description: Gmail Port: 587 Connection security: STARTTLS Authentication methon: OAuth2 Username TMerrillH Sending GMail using the GMail app works properly. Could it be something in the OAuth2 system?

Group contacts have been established and the group is listed in the Address page. An email is prepared and the group name is inserted in the bcc slot. An x appears to the left of the group name. The Send button is grayed out and the email can't be sent. What is the problem?

why just today is all my incoming emails coming to trasha nd not my in box in Thunderbird worked fine in the morning but i am not getting any mail in my in box it is all going to trash

Recently, my SENT file has not been keeping the email I send. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone suggest how or why this has started happening?

I count on being able to look and see that I have sent or replied.
