When I send an email the recipient receives lots of information above the email. It seems to show all the security paths the email has gone through. It goes on and on. I have gone in to View and set Headers to Normal. But doesn't really work. If I Forward an email again all the information appears that the recipient does not need to know. HELP! If I delete the information I get rows and rows of lines.

Why in Thunderbird desktop I can set checking for mail to every 1 minute but in Thunderbird Android I only have the option to fetch mail every 15 minutes?

This needs to be changed ASAP! I need to make replies to urgent emails quickly! I shouldn't have to wait 15 minutes for Thunderbird to check for new emails or for me to keep pressing check for new emails. Gmail and FairEmail get my new emails straight away!! Thunderbird Android takes ages

Please change and fetch new emails ASAP! I love Thunderbird and have used Thunderbird since it was first released! But Gmail and FairEmail I use because of this issue! Look at my screenshot! 15 minutes is a joke!!

I had knee replacement surgery on 10/10/2025 and was unable to access my PC to download email. When I was able to access my PC(physically unable to get to the PC until12/7/2025) email had stopped downloading after 10/27.2025 and many of the ones downloaded were multiple copies of the same text. I decided to just highlight a large group of email and just trash them unread. I have now trashed 5000+ emails and the system will stil not display any after 10.27/2025. I am at my whits end, I am a 78 year old retired non-software engineer and really need some help. This is my primary email account and really need to read what's current.

For 3 days, I haven't been able to access my GMX email account. It tells me every time "Login to the server imap.gmx.com with username '[edited from public] @gmx.com' failed. I hadn't changed anything beforehand and all the entered data is correct. My other accounts like gmail, yahoo, works just fine. Tried installing older versions and still no success. Outlook app works fine either. I'm pretty sure that GMX mail server made some changes that Thunderbird is missing. Please verify.

Hello Everyone,

In Thunderbird, I'm receiving a notification that I had a new email, but then it disappeared and didn't appear in my inbox. It reappears after about an hour. (but i'm not sure if i'm receiving all the email email or not) This happened after updating to Windows 11.

There is enough space. I uninstalled and reinstalled. It's up to date. The emails are not in any other folders. The same problem occurs on the website. Everything is working OK with my company email address; the problem only occurs with my personal email address, and I use both on the same laptop. This issue happens with all received emails from all email providers, such as Gmail and Hotmail..etc. Can anyone help me with this issue?

I have been setting up laptop for a local sports club. The underlying email account is a gmail account and I have used Manage Identities to set it up so that by default emails show as coming from the club's domain-related account, e.g. manager@sportsclub.uk. All seems OK; however, the email one receives from the account shows the correct signature, but still as coming from the gmail account Curiously though, if one hovers over the email address it shows the name of the 'manager identity' even though the display shows the name of the underlying gmail account. Everything is set up exactly as I have in my personal Thunderbird account which has several identities and all work as expected. The only difference is that my email account is a Plusnet one. So I assume that it must be a feature of gmail. Does anyone know if that is the case and what one can do about it?

Recently I have noticed some changes in the way my Thunderbird downloads POP3 messages. Previously, it would be common to ask for new messages once a day and receive upwards of one hundred of them. But in the last month, this number has been limited to about 35 at a time. If I ask immediately again, I get about 35 more, and this pattern continues as long as there are messages in queue waiting to be downloaded. I am not sure if this is due to changes in gmail, where most of my received messages originate, or to changes in Thunderbird itself, or to some sort of third-party hack. Now that I have trained myself to keep on asking until there are no more messages coming down, this change does not cause me much difficulty, although initially it sometimes caused me to overlook messages because I failed to keep asking as long as I should have. Apart from that, it does not seem to be harmful as far as I can tell. I'd just like to know if other people have noticed anything similar, and if anyone knows what is causing it, and whether it has some hidden advantages over the way things used to work.

Thunderbird shows the number of emails downloaded but I can not see them in my inbox, or anywhere else. Using Thunderbird 115.5.2 (64-bit) on an older iMac on OS 10.12. Email account is gmail, and using POP. I've tried 'repair folders" with no change. I've deleted old emails from the Gmail server. Would appreciate any help.

I have Mozilla Thunderbird installed, the Yandex mail instructions say - The server name is imap.yandex.ru and the server name is smtp.yandex.ru . with such constructions, the mail does not arrive. Mozilla uses ru - com instead by default and everything works, but it feels like it's wrong because everything slows down terribly. If I change to ru, the mail does not work. https://disk.yandex.ru/i/7V9_I1XwoBLPiQ

I received an e-mail containing an invitation. Inside the invitation, Thunderbird corrupted a URL (zoom link) by adding an extra "\", and corrupted the sender's e-mail address, by concatenating it with the sender's last name from the previous line. Has anyone else seen this? How can I prevent it from happening?

Screenshots of the invitation are attached, one copied from the message on the mail server (gmail viewed in Chrome), and the other showing how Thunderbird rendered it. It's drastically different in format, which would be fine, except the content has been changed as well. Note the extra "\" in the Zoom link in the Thunderbird version (verified incorrect) and the e-mail address Davidcdavid@FCNL.org, containing the extraneous characters "David"

Many thanks for help.
